It's such a tragedy over there; I've made some financial donations to the Red Cross. How are you guys feeling on the Philippines?

It's certainly a tragedy, and you have to wonder how well they will recover long-term. I mean, the earthquake in Haiti happened years ago, and their situation still hasn't improved much to this day in spite of an initial outpouring of support and donations.

Haiti had the worst economy in the Western hemisphere; the tragedy over there just made it even worse. Despite huge financial contributions to Haiti, in the long-term, it would not improved conditions from the way it used to be.

But still, the Philippines aren't very well-off either, especially in the area that it struck in. And it even took the US years to recover from Hurricane Katrina...I just fear that it's going to take a long time for some people there to get help.
