Title
1.This shall be titled the Wintrean Holidays Act

Holidays
1. Constitution Day shall be observed on the 25th of December.
  1.1 Constitution Day shall be to Celebrate the Passing of the
        Fundamental Laws

2. Founding Day shall be observed on the 17th of October.
  2.1 Founding Day shall be to celebrate the Founding of Wintreath

3. Alliance Day shall be observed on the 10th of February.
  3.1 Alliance Day shall be to celebrate the alliances Wintreath has
        formed.
  3.2 This day can be used to count toward any cultural event required
        by Treaties. Should this day be used for that purpose the Head
        of State of the region(s) of which we have a treaty with may
        select a citizen of their region to assist with the planning.

Holiday Procedure
4. During Holidays the Monarch, or his/her designee, shall be tasked
    with planning the celebration a minimum of one (1) week prior to the
    day of the Holiday. The Monarch, or his/her designee, shall allow
    members of the Riksrad and the Royal Family make
    suggestions and help plan. Other people may be specified to help
    make suggestions and plan.

5. All Holidays are to last 24 hours, unless specified otherwise.

Anywho This is now introduced with a 48-hour debate period, unless Expedited. After the period of time Skrifa may motion to vote or to extend debate.

Totally didn't see this and I hope I made it in the deadline or whatever buuuuuut... I feel like I've seen this before... I don't know if it was here or in Spiritus under Wintermoot's presidency but I really feel like it was here...
The general consensus was that mandating holidays that have to have events and stuff associated with them is a really bad idea... Like literally their only purpose, functionally, is so that I can try and make stuff not occur so that I can then sue people for not doing stuff... And I really think that that just sounds horrid.
With the openness of what it takes to make a festival happen, particularly in Wintreath, I see little to no reason to mandate that they occur.
Though I'm always up for more parties. So I'd be more than willing to catch a few drinks with you next October 17th.
