Elections have concluded for the sixth session of the Underhusen, and this was certainly an unusual election. Between the many abstentions (7 people casted 10 abstain votes), and the many vote changes toward the end, one could say this was the election of the undecided voter. Throughout the election candidates have risen and fallen...and fallen and risen, and except for a few people the result was never fully certain. However, the election has ended, and these are the final results.
Underhusen Election ResultsHugsim: 19 votes
Reon: 14 votes
Joshua Bluteisen: 13 votes
Denth Kasten: 12 votesChanku: 9 votes
Ulkhak: 9 votesGovindia: 7 votes
tatte: 7 votesAs you can see, Hugsim, Reon, Joshua Bluteisen, and Denth Kasten have one election outright, and there will have to be a runoff vote between Chanku and Ulkhak to determine who gets the last seat. Also of note is Hugsim's 19 votes, which means everyone except one person voted for him: a feat that hasn't been accomplished since Denth Kasten won 20 of 21 votes in the first December 2013 election. Congrats to the winners!
Overhusen AppointmentsWith Reon being elected to the Underhusen, I have sought a replacement for him in the form of Point Breeze. He is someone I believe is reasonable, has experience in Wintrean law, and is fully capable of representing the monarchy in the Storting. I have also decided to reappoint all other members from the last term...this means that the sixth Overhusen will be Pengu, Point Breeze, Jone, and myself.
I hope this will be a delightful next two months both to the members of the Storting and to our region.
