Greetings Wintreans! As your Monarch, I hope to send messages to you from time to time, talking about things that are going on within our region. While I would love to see as many of you as possible on our regional forums, I know that many people are busy and don't have time...so hopefully I can help keep you informed about what's going on, and perhaps focus your attention to some of the new and exciting stuff happening. One of the great things about Wintreath is that new things happen and improvements are made everyday. We may be approaching our first anniversary as a region (October 17th), but we are not resting on our laurels! Some of the things going on right now are...Culture Forums Revamped! Our regional culture has grown over the past few months, to the point where a single forum just couldn't contain it all! We have now organized the area into five forums: one for events, groups, and competitions, one dedicated to roleplaying, one for general discussion, one for serious discussion and debates, and of course a cultural area wouldn't be complete without an area for forum spam. This should allow everyone to more easily find what they are looking for...and the greatest thing about our cultural area is that you don't even have to be a Citizen to partake! Just register an account on our forums and start posting along. If you'd like to become a Citizen later on, that is entirely up to you. So why not check it out and start having fun with your regionmates?Regional Forums: http://wintreath.com/forums/index.php (Cultural Area is the Frozen Village of Fourneshore)Wintreath Invited to Regional Sovereignty ConferenceWintreath recently had the pleasure of being invited to a conference on regional sovereignty in the region of Lazarus. Regional sovereignty is the principle that regions should be free to make their own decisions without interference from other regions, and the conference aims to find ways to bolster it. The conference starts September 1st, and a large delegation from Wintreath will be going. I hope to report back on the discussions that will take place later on, but in the meantime I'm appreciative that our region was specifically invited to attend!Jobs Open Up in the Civil ServiceThe Civil Service is our pool of volunteers willing to take on various roles and tasks for the betterment of the region. When the Service first opened up, there wasn't much to do, but lately we have been working on rectifying this. Members of the Civil Service can now take on these roles:Ambassador - Represent Wintreath to a foreign region, sending our messages to them and being available to conduct diplomacy between our regionsMentor - Serve as a friend and contact to new members to the region, helping them find where they want to be in the region and answering any questions they have (NS/regional experience required)Recruiter - Help Wintreath grow and prosper by sending our recruitment message to new nations as they are founded and answering their questions about the game and region.Writer - Write articles for our foreign dispatch, The Orendi, which is displayed both on our forums and sent to the forums of all regions we have relations with!If you are already a Citizen of the region and want to help make Wintreath a better region, consider signing up here: http://wintreath.com/forums/index.php?topic=931.0. Once approved, you will be able to see the Civil Service forum and everything that it has to offer!Amalya and Weissreich Made Nobles! For their outstanding loyalty and contributions to the region, I made Amalya and Weissreich Wintreath's first two nobles this week. Weissreich is now a Duke of Wintreath and Amalya is now The Countess of Bain! Congratulations are in order for both of them...this region would not be the same without them! You can read more about these appointments, including the many reasons why they deserved this honour, click here: http://wintreath.com/forums/index.php?topic=1490.0As always, if you have any questions or need assistance getting involved in the region, just let me know and I'll try to help you. You can also post on our region page, which should attract many more helpful and friendly people! I hope you're enjoying your stay in the region, and thanks for making Wintreath your NationStates home!
We should probably slowly rope them into that after they're already involved in the region.
