Hello it's been a while. Both since I've been here and since Wintreath hosted a mafia game.

This spoiler discusses info about how I'm planning on reworking the Werewolf section of you don't care about that skip down past it

Over the course of the next several weeks and months the Werewolf section is going to undergo massive changes to streamline and combine info and topics and modernize our approach to werewolf. This process is an extended process as I work on how I want the section to look and feel and flow what topics we can combine which ones we can get rid of. There's a lot of information overload

Anyways that's my goal but while I'm working on that I wanted to get a Dande running and pump some blood back into our Werewolf scene.


So welcome to Werewolf 31: Return to Wintreath. This game will be a light low power 11 player open set up. What's that mean in normal people speak

11 players.
75 post cap lifted 1 hour before EoD. Post min is 10.

Open Set Up means I'm gonna tell you the roles:

6 vanilla town
1 town tracker (odd night)
1 town cop (even night)
1 town Bodyguard

1 mafia roleblocker
1 mafia godfather

Victory conditions are parity for mafia or the elimination of mafia for town.

Mafia will have a chat on discord and a night kill

The game will have a discord server hub

Night talk is disabled.

Majority is enabled after Day 1

No vote is not a valid option unless the game is in MYLO. Eliminations are majority or plurality. Ties will be decided by random chance.

New players are welcome and I am willing to help you learn about the game and keep up with it.

This game will start Thursda November 2nd at 5 pm Central. Users on the forum or on discord will have an exclusive 1 week sign up period after which I will begin recruiting from outside the region.

Werewolf and mafia are interchangeable really. I think Wintreath has always called it Werewolf but since I left everywhere I've played called it mafia lol

Michi brought the game over from 10000 Islands, and they call it Werewolf there...thus, we've always called it Werewolf here. :P

The names are interchangeable, yes.  The original created game was Mafia, but the equally widely accepted version (and was the original version I first played offline) was Werewolf, and likewise as Moot said XKI had it as WW as well, so that just stuck.  Though obviously the website that hosts champs calls it Mafia, so either is considered an appropriate name.  There is a difference between the two when it came to their conception (the original Mafia had no special roles, those were introduced in Werewolf), but that's really it.

Fun facts for today.  Sadly I won't have time to take part in this game.

Also, never an abuse of powers to invite offsite friends or more.  :p
