1692, Boston
A ship carrying immigrants to Boston sways in the sea. In some time, it docks at Boston Harbor.
A young man in a tricorn hat walks off the ship and takes a deep breath. He walks over to a fisherman. "Hello, do you know where I could find a man named Mr. Betts?" The old fisherman spits. "Ol' Betts is just down the street." The man nods. "Thank you." He then walked down the street, as told, until he arrived at a blacksmith shop with a sign that read, "Jolly Man's Smith". He opened the door, to see a man in a blacksmithing outfit. Immediately the Man in the Tricorn hat put his hand out. "The name's Jeramiah Quarryman."
OOC: Here are some clarifactions.
1. This is NOT a Revolutionary war rp. (Though I could do that in the future). That happened in the late 18th century. This is happening in 1692.
2. Absolutely NO racism. Though we are trying to be historically accurate, that is not tolerated. Any transgression may lead to removal.
3. Be whatever the heck you want. A tavern owner? Sure! Blacksmith? Sure! A crazy cook and wizard? Sure!*
Anyways, enjoy the rp :/
*Acting like a wizard may lead to an IC execution for witchcraft and spellcasting

The blacksmith was puzzled for a moment. "Um.. Hello, Mr. Quarryman. What can I do for you?" Betts shook Jeramiah's hand. "Well Mr. Betts, I was looking for an apprenticeship. I had heard of your business in England. My father was a blacksmith, before he died." Betts thought for a moment. "Alright kid, I'll take ya. First things first. I like to give swords to my apprentices. But, they get to create it. So my boy. Here's how you make a custom one."
Eventually, Jeramiah finished his blade. It was a cutlass, blade curved a bit, and the hilt had a ruby engraved in it.
Jeramiah went to sleep that night, content with his new apprenticeship.

"I'd be more then grateful. Call me William, nice to meet you." he shakes her hand "I'll start right away. Where are you building this store?" she doesn't seem like someone who would open a store. 'Odd seeing a rich Noble women opening a small store here.' he thinks to himself.

The Strange thing for a Spaniard Was his Fairly Dark Amber complexion. His most stunning Feature was the fact he as six feet and four inches Tall.

“My name is De Grande. Antonio De Grande. Might as well put my axe to better use then war. How much lumber do you need Senorita?”

Observing from a forested hilltop, a hooded man with a brilliantly long beard analyzed the fledgling town, both intimidated and curious at the site. Clothes so intricate, weaponry so foreign, machinery barely understandable, and yet... these people seem so familiar. Living in communion Skraelings for so long, to once again see people with his skin color was astounding to the man. He retreated to his grass-roofed turf house, fetching his heavy furs and curling within them, committing himself to meditation.

Jeramiah woke up after a nap in the attic.
As he walked down the stairs, he was greeted by his new master. "Rise and shine kid, it's 9 o'clock. At night."
Betts lit a pipe and sat down to relax. "Why don't you go out to the tavern. Get a drink and tell some folks about this shop here." He winked.
"Alright, Betts," sighed Jeramiah. He was tired after arriving in Boston earlier. He grabbed his coat, hat, a flintlock, and his sword. "I'll be back within 3 hours."
Betts blew smoke. "Hey kid. You're gonna need money as well." Jeramiah quickly grabbed a sack of pence. "Goodbye."
Jeramiah walked down the road. His boots clicked on the ground as he looked at the harbor. He came upon a tavern called the "Drunken Hog".
Upon walking in there, it was a normal tavern. Lively, on a night so fair. Jeramiah sat down at the bar and ordered a beer. He looked over at a group of people playing cards.
He noticed that one man, who had a pile of coins on his side, seemed to be cheating. Jeramiah stealthily looked over, and noticed he had a duplicate.
Being the type of person he was, he told the other man of the cheater. Suddenly, the cheater stood up, and pulled out a pistol. "Snitch!" He fired, killing the other gambler. Suddenly the tavern was all up in chaos. People ran around like chickens after hearing the gunshot. The cheater tried to run, but Jeramiah stabbed him with his blade before he could run to the door. The cheater even attempted to shoot Jeramiah with a spare gun, but Jeramiah shot the pistol with his own. Jeramiah then ran out, running down the street, and sprinting into the blacksmith shop.
Jeramiah decided to tell Betts what happened in the morning.

Antonio Blinks as the woman crashes into him unsure how to React at first he pauses. He looks at her Checking if she is okay. "Ms. Violet. Are you okay?"
He Sits up holding her lightly. "Careful. The Cobble stone is wet from the rain."

As the man meditated in his furs, his altered state of mind was abruptly interrupted by the sudden, sharp sounds of gunfire. Peaking his eyes out from underneath, he saw that he was in no immediate danger. At that point, however, he resolved that he must confront the mystery of this new settlement, these people.

Waking up before the sun rose that morning, the man prepared his chainmail armor, dawned his ancestral helmet, and equipped his round shield and bearded axe before leaving his home, wandering through the forest until he came upon a clearing that was once but an extension of the forest. In this clearing, he saw two people, one woman who looked ornate and regal in dress at a level of sophistication that he's never seen, and the other a man wearing commoner clothing.
He listened to their conversation, their language indecipherable to the man. However, at bravery's behest, he knew he had to do something. Standing up straight, he emerged from the cover of the foliage, approaching the couple.

Antonio Looks at the man a bit shocked. Noticing the Armor he seems confused. He keeps A eye on Violet. “Can I help you sir?” He says in broken danish with a deep Spanish accent hoping the odd Viking man speaks danish. The Time spent trading with the Caribbean Colonies as a boy giving him a chance to somewhat learn languages of the colonies.

Picking up the sentence, if not because of the simple grammar, he responded in Old Norse, "Where are you from? All of you?"

The man cocked his head in confusion, not understanding that word whatsoever. He stayed silent for a moment, before squatting onto the ground. Using the tip of his index finger, he drew lines into the coarse dirt, these lines eventually resembling a misshapen, but recognizable Europe. Finishing the British Isles, he then draws a circle around the drawing and points to it, asking, "Midgard?"

Albert Sigismund finds the famous Blacksmith Karl von Hamburg after travelling. He introduced himself in Berlin German
“Hello, I am Albert Sigismund von Preußen, a Prussian arms dealer. If you want to contact me, here it is! I would like you to forge me an axe, a strong one. So that I can go to the nearest forest and chop some trees. Here I brought some iron for you,” He took out iron from his heavy bag, “How many silver that will be?”
Karl von Hamburg responds with a Hamburger Accent in German, “That will be 20 silvers, please.”
“Alright!”, he takes out his shiny silvers from his heavy bag, “I expected more than this, actually.”
“Only because you are a German like me.”
After a while, Karl finally forges a sharp iron axe. He brings out a wood piece, “Perhaps you can try it on this wood?” Albert quickly chops the wood into pieces. He feels that the axe doesn’t affect his speed. He easily cut it into 2 pieces, “Thank you for this masterpiece, Bruder. Nice to meet you.”
“You too!”
He brings his large bag, iron axe, and begins to go to a nearby Black Forest, “Oh that looks like that one in Hessen… Is this the Hessen Black Forest? There have some really good wood!” He excitedly brings his iron axe, running with his bag shaking, “JA! JA! DAS IST GUT!” He chops a lot of tree with the axe. He uses his large bag to obtain the heavy timber. Though it’s heavy, he goes back to his shop, with a tired face while sweating…
“In Berlin I only need to plan for my Handelsreich but not actually doing it… Luckily no one opens a shop in my location, time to build my shop!”, He adjusts the pillars and structure of the shop, after finishing the base structure, he starts to put a Prussian Banner on his shop, indeed proud of his Vaterland. He also adds black-yellow-red stripes, the three colours of the German Fatherland. He finally finishes his decorations and so he begins to add up the walls. He successfully builds his shop, “Beautiful, I am glad my brother will come later to achieve our Handelsreich!”

Upon hearing the word Vinland, the hooded man smiled and nodded vigorously. Resuming his drawing, he drew two islands, presumably Iceland and Greenland by their shapes and relative scale to Europe and a coastline West of Greenland. He drew a line, beginning at modern Norway, drawing through Iceland, then Greenland, and then finally through the coastline. Lifting his finger, he slaps his palm on the ground, announcing, "Vinland". Then, gazing back at Antonio, he points to himself.
"Ingimund."
-
"You what!?" Jeramiah looked down. "Someone was going to die, and I'd rather it be the man who was innocent." Betts sighed. "Well, pack your things, let's go." Jeramiah gave a confused look. "What? Why?" Betts packed a loaded gun into his luggage bag. "Well, the Brits are gonna be over us soon. I say we flee to Cuba, I got a cousin who lives there. We reopen the business and live our days there until further notice." Jeramiah shrugged. "It's the only was I presume. I trust you." Jeramiah packed up clothes, food, and everything else he had brought, and put on his belt which had his gun and sword. After putting on a coat and his iconic hat, he looked over to Betts. "Ready."

OOC: FINALLY GOT A CHANCE TO RESPOND HOLY-
Hearing the fragments of Danish in his Old Norse understanding, he sighed and shaked his head slowly, his slight frown grimacing further. "All of them left or died. I'm the only one."
