So we're finally getting to a point where we're getting some host interest for future games, and I'm ecstatic to see us reach this point.
But...how do you go about claiming a game? Well, that's what this thread is going to solve. In this thread, you can claim the next closest game of Werewolf that's available. Simply say that you're interested, say which Werewolf you'd like to host, and give a little info on what your game is about. If your game choice is available, you'll be added to the list!
Remember that all game claims are on a first come-first serve basis, so if a game is already taken, you'll have to go for the next available slot (which is okay, because it gives more time to iron out any possible kinks for your game!).
Questions that I get in this thread (Paraphrased)
How long should I wait to post signups for my game?
Preferably a week to give people time to wind down and talk about the previous game a bit. 2 weeks is recommended at most since that's when people start to really ask about when the next game is starting.

Mechanics This would be a large, relatively vanilla game with a time limit. We'll ideally have about 20-24 passengers and 2-3 hijackers, but if the hijackers aren't caught within approx 8 day phases (numbers can change based on interest), the hijackers win (eliminating the equal/outnumber win condition).

As long as you're letting us know when something happens, we can work with you. We can either just wait a little longer for signups to start, or you can switch slots with someone and they just go first, with you going in their place when they normally would have hosted.
Really, whatever works best for you in that aspect as long as you're keeping in contact with the current Thane of Werewolf so they know that you didn't just disappear (in which case if you do that, you'd just be bumped out and the next host would start up).

As I said to Hapi, if you were to take a slot and it ends up interfering with your RL matters when your game pops up for example, we can always push your game back a bit to give you time or have you switch spots with someone. Despite having more of a waitlist type of system, we're still working with people who want to host but may have RL affairs that pop up.

Not sure if this also is included with Discord Werewolf games but if it is, I will officially reiterate my claims (or make them known if they weren't official earlier) for a simple themed practice game based on the Warcraft idea and a complex game I have been planning for more than a year. This is on Discord not here though.
Discord games are their own thing and don't apply to this list...this is mainly for the forum games. :)

Some small info about your game: I wanna do a back to basics game, which will mean something a little bit different to y’all probably. Light, french vanilla taste, I think the roles will be at least mildly interesting but not overwhelming to help y’all get a feel for the main strategies as well as secondary.
Another thing, I will only be accepting 13 players
I believe too many players is a very bad thing to have among newer players, so I will only be accepting this many for simplicity’s sake. Any others will be relegated to sub.
I see a lot of promise in y’all and I’m hoping this will be a very pleasant experience and opportunity to grow and learn about how mafia setups and rule sets work outside of Wintreath.

It's more that I have specific times where I may be not busy, so I would possibly plan to host around those times. It is called a bunker because in the OG trailer it says "We isolate ourselves from the ones we try to save"

once all the sick are out of the bunker the scientist. The sick win by outnumbering or kicking out all the scientists.

Go ahead and do some research on Wesen if you want an idea of some of the actions certain roles will be able to carry out.>:D Alternatively it could be done as a Double or Triple Elimination game to accommodate for the likelihood of the game being short but that would require more planning and research (and asking Tau about A Werewolf of Ice and Fire). For the bastard game the main reason for it being bastard themed I would like to leave as a surprise. The main thing I can say about it though is: prepare to not know who can be trusted.:))>:D

I'm uncomfortable having 4 complex games in a row, 31 was supposed to be more of a vanilla game. However, I will oblige your request given the circumstances.Fear not, because brain has decided it wants to torture people in the most horrific way possible: A Vanilla Game. With an open setup. If I had to rate the current plan, I would say it's likely a 2 on the rating scale.

And you would be correct! I vehemently hate vanilla games. And I do love to make people guess at roles. But that isn't going to be happening here.

Because I can. And well, I might be a little bit sadistic. So instead of mind-bending dimmensional hopping chaos as originally drafted, I am both pleased and displeased to announce that WW30 will be Nightmare Mafia. Using my own nightmare as a base.
If you have a personal nightmare mafia trope, a type of player you hate, a scenario that still makes your blood boil when you think back on it, feel free to shoot me a message. I will personally craft this game into the ultimate hellscape for all players.
(Disclaimer: All nightmares will be used in good fun and the game is not actually intended to torture anyone, but rather to make fun of dumb things that have happened and silly aversions to certain things in an over the top, dramatisised manner. There will be safeguards mechanically in play.)

However, we're committed to building Wintreath back better and in a way that addresses the issues that have caused so much harm. Hopefully someday we'll have regular Werewolf games on here again. :)

What have you been up to since then?Yeah, a lot of stuff happened over on MU and I eventually decided to take a break which extended to me fully retiring in time. I'm back to some capacity now but probably not going to do some things the same as I did before I left.

In the meantime I've mostly just been studying though. Unfortunately due to the quirks of my current circumstances I've had to devote a huge amount of my time to it so I've barely had chance to do anything of note outside of that.
