Title: February 2020 Underhusen and Overhusen Results
Post by: Wintermoot on February 09, 2020, 02:44:48 AM
Underhusen elections are over! This was the first competitive election since October, and the first with over 6 candidates since August. In this election, 17 people cast a vote, including 3 private votes, meaning that 20.2% of Citizens who are not Paragons voted in the election. The results are as follows:

17 - Mathyland
15 - Chanku
15 - Excalibur
14 - Dani
13 - ogunbiyi6422
04 - xxurbanxx
03 - Peipr

Congratulations to those who won! The new session will have an interesting mix of incumbents, returning old-timers, and new faces, and we'll see where that leads us during the term. And to those who didn't win, take heart, because at least a few people placed their vote for you and had faith in you. You both have a promising future in the region...keep trying to get involved, and you can only grow from here. :)

As for the Overhusen, I have decided not to change its membership at this time. I know that there have been concerns about the voting records and activity of some of its members, and I have had conversations with those who routinely missed votes. Fortunately, they have indicated that they want to continue serving and will not only stay on top of all votes this term, but also be more involved in the community going forward. Thus, I have decided that changes aren't necessary at this point.

Congratulations to our 38th Storting! :D

Congrats to all those who made it, and to those who didn't (@Peipr @xxurbanxx): I think it's awesome you two want to get involved in the regional government! If you want to try again next time (I think you should), my advice is just to continue getting involved in the region. What really hurt you this election was the lack of involvement on the forums. You each have about 8 forum posts. Not everyone here is active on the Discord, and the forums are just a bit different. Now you have plenty of time to get more involved in the forums before the next election if you want to.

Also, UH legislation appears on the Citizens Platform (https://wintreath.com/forums/index.php?board=32.0) for the citizens to discuss before the UH votes on anything0. That's a great place to get your ideas heard from outside the UH, and to increase your appeal to voters in the next election. That's where I started out before running for the UH.

Overall, good job everyone! I think we'll get good things done in this session! :D
