Section I: Basic Information
1) Hello there! I represent Rebekway, but if you want to speak directly to the Leader, that would be me, Rebekah. I am currently in my final year of study at the University of Texas at Austin as an Advertising Major with three diverse minors and plenty of extracurricular activities that I would love to discuss. Other very welcome talking points include my kitten Oliver (aka Ollie or DONTSCRATCHTHAT), my near-death stories from traveling abroad (don't worry, I make them fun), my newfound interest in stress-relieving activities like yoga and painting (totally not related to those stories lol), and of course, food. Also movies, video games, tennis, my adorable hometown, books, whatever (I am an open last-list-item).
I come to you out of a shared interest in cold weather and smoothly functioning politics. I am always available to chat or play games or rp (well, if you address me directly; otherwise I am far too busy to seek that out, unfortunately), but my primary and driving interest is in government. As your newest Citizen, I hope the community will see fit to welcome my determination and allow me to take an active part. My goal is to prove my worth and rise through the ranks by it; not in a bid for power, but through an interest in exploring the workings of government that I will not have a chance to do in the real world until I am old and reading over PTA forms or something similarly dreadful to imagine.
2) I will be in the GMT+2 timezone (Central Europe) for the next 15 days, then CDT (Central USA) for the foreseeable future; although give or take a few hours time difference from that, allowing for nearby travel.
3) I will not need a mentor, thank you. I was very active on NationStates a few years ago; I can see there have been many changes, but the underlying foundation clearly remains similar.
4) I received a telegram from The Wintrean Monarch of Wintermoot. Although it took multiple days to decide, it was their message that ultimately convinced me to relocate.
5) This region seems established and orderly but not so large as to have no possibility of being heard. I also appreciate its platform of inclusivity, and the whole eternal winter thing jibes with how I picture my own nation's climate.
Section II: NationStates (You can skip this if you are not involved with NationStates)
6) I like keeping things tidy; my nation name is the same as that of my username here, Rebekway (think Norway and other Scandinavian real-world states, coupled with my first name).
7) I used to have three nations, one of which was very active and held a key role in its region, forming embassies and passing legislation. Sadly, each now occupies a lonely grave in the Boneyard. For now, this nation is my only.
8) As mentioned, I am not new to NationStates (although this nation is). It has been awhile, so I am not as familiar with processes. However I am much more personally knowledgeable in politics and economics since my last visit and am excited to start over with work in the Wintreath government.

PS, if you are looking for an editor, I have noticed multiple spelling errors throughout the citizenship process (recruitment and welcome message, pages on this site, etc). For example, the original code for this list repeated numbers. I know this is hella obnoxious for a newbie to point out and I'll gladly ignore it if y'all don't care, but I can also help tighten things if that's desired.

Non-forum games are discussed in The Gaming Lounge (http://wintreath.com/forums/index.php?board=100.0). Multiplayer game sessions are organized there, and there is a good chance that someone here will know about the different games being discussed.(whether or not they have the game is a different matter ;))
There is a large but inactive RP (http://wintreath.com/forums/index.php?board=123.0) community (http://wintreath.com/forums/index.php?board=120.0) here. There is serious and light roleplay (http://wintreath.com/forums/index.php?board=93.0) that comes in different forms. Some of it is nation based RP, some is character based with most of the RPs here being realistic.
There are definitely people here that would appreciate help with checking for spelling and grammar errors. That has been a recurring focus of the regional government for a while. Over in the Citizen's Platform (http://wintreath.com/forums/index.php?board=32.0) the regional government is discussed along with what changes need to be made and what issues are there to be solved. If you are going to try getting into the government you will want to read the laws (http://wintreath.com/index.php?part=law) and understand them. The last election was a few weeks ago and the next one won't happen for at least a couple of months.
