Title: Mage War: Sign-Ups
Post by: Wintermoot on August 18, 2017, 03:47:25 AM: This game is inspired by Battleship, but even simpler for festival play!

In this game, each player will have a mage tower, which will be placed on a 30x30 grid. Each turn, which will last a day, players will post coordinates they want to strike at with their magic...if they hit another player, that player is removed from the game. Actions will be done in order of first to last post that turn, meaning that if one player strikes another player whose action is later, they will be eliminated from the game and the action will be cancelled. The final player standing will be the winner.

There may be changes to the game based on how many people sign up and if I have any ideas for the game and time to implement them. Sign-ups will be open thru Sunday, August 20th and the game will start the next day. Hope we get a lot of people for this. :)

The winner of the Mage War will receive 15 Tokens (http://wintreath.com/forums/index.php?topic=4644), which they can use to get a free Steam key!

Question: what if two people select the same location for their mage tower? Will they unknowingly occupy the same location, or will they both have to select a new place?
