Brief History of the Nation:
Latrovia, a place of mysteries.
Old Names:
Many historians know Latrovia with its old names as Golden Kingdom or known to many as Gondor!
Gondor:
The territory that would become Gondor had been widely colonised by the Númenóreans from around the middle of the Second Age, especially by the Elf-friends loyal to the house of Elendil. When his sons Isildur and Anárion landed in Middle-earth after the drowning of Númenor, they were welcomed by the colonists and their claim of lordship was accepted, while Elendil was held to be the High King of all lands of the Dúnedain.

Within the South-kingdom, the hometowns of Isildur and Anárion were Minas Ithil and Minas Anor respectively, and the capital city Osgiliath was situated between them.
Sauron, however, had survived the destruction of Númenor and secretly returned to his realm of Mordor just to the east of Gondor. Soon he launched a war against the Númenórean kingdoms, hoping to destroy them before their power was established.
He captured Minas Ithil, but Isildur escaped and fled by ship to Arnor; meanwhile, Anárion was able to defend Osgiliath. Elendil and the Elven-king Gil-galad formed the Last Alliance of Elves and Men, and together with Isildur and Anárion, they besieged and defeated Mordor.
Sauron was overthrown, but the One Ring that Isildur took from him was not destroyed, and thus Sauron was able to regain power in the next age.
Both Elendil and Anárion had been slain in the war, so Isildur conferred rule of Gondor upon Anárion's son Meneldil and went north to ascend to the kingship of Arnor, retaining suzerainty over Gondor as High King of the Dúnedain.However, Isildur and his three elder sons were ambushed and killed by Orcs in the Gladden Fields.
Isildur's remaining son Valandil did not attempt to reclaim his father's place in Gondor monarchy, and therefore the kingdom was ruled solely by Meneldil and his descendants until their line died out with Eärnur.
Latrovia:
Golden Kingdom, a nation with patriots, known to many by its eldest name Gondor, is now history.
Historians believed that the name of the country should be changed according to their history. Three years later, the formal name of Golden Kingdom changed to Latrovia, a name with meaning.

Latrovia is a largely mountainous country which encompasses a great diversity of landscapes and climates on a limited area of 125,300 km2 (48,378 sq mi). The population is about 6 million, resulting in an average population density of around 90 people per square kilometre (389/sq mi). The more mountainous northern half of the country is more sparsely populated than the southern half.
The more populous southern part of the country has greater open and hilly landscapes, partly forested, partly open pastures, usually with grazing herds, or vegetables and fruit fields, but it is still hilly. There are large lakes found there and the biggest Latrovian cities are in this area of the country.

Latrovia's ecosystems can be particularly fragile, because of the many delicate valleys separated by high mountains, forming unique ecologies. The mountainous regions themselves are also vulnerable, with a rich range of plants not found at other altitudes, and experience some pressure from visitors and grazing. The climatic, geological and topographical conditions of the alpine region make for a very fragile ecosystem that can be particularly sensitive to climate change.
The greater part of Latrovia lies in the cool/temperate climate zone in which humid westerly winds predominate. With nearly two-fourths of the country dominated by mountains, the alpine climate is predominant. Summers tend to be warm and humid at times with periodic rainfall so they are ideal for pastures and grazing. The less humid winters in the mountains may see long intervals of stable conditions for weeks. Precipitation tends to be spread moderately throughout the year with a peak in summer. Autumn is the driest season, winter receives less precipitation than summer, yet the weather patterns in Conscentia are not in a stable climate system and can be variable from year to year with no strict and predictable periods.
A weather phenomenon identical effect to the chinook wind can occur at all times of the year and is characterised by an unexpectedly warm wind, bringing air of very low relative humidity to the south of the mountains during rainfall periods on the northern face of the mountains. This works both ways across the mountains but is more efficient if blowing from the north due to the steeper step for oncoming wind from the north. Valleys running north to south trigger the best effect. The driest conditions persist in all inner alpine valleys that receive less rain because arriving clouds lose a lot of their content while crossing the mountains before reaching these areas.
Although Latrovia is cold in the winter (−12 to 0 °C), summer temperatures can be relatively warm, with average temperatures in the mid-20s and a highest temperature of 39.7 °C (103.5 °F).

Brief History of the Nation: Before the arrival of the Golden Persian, the land, then known by outsiders as The Wastelands, was home to a variety of nomadic tribal clans, along with some small settled townships. One day, a strange figure, who was soon to be known as the Golden Persian, arrived, and, slowly but surely, through the use of mass debates, public discussions, befriending the locals, and showing them what an enlightened society could be, the Golden Persian began bringing these divided beings together. Now, the beings of the desert land are some of the most technologically, scientifically, and socially advanced beings around.

Geographical characteristics: The Geography of The Community of Golden Persia is that of a desert. It has very minimal rainfall, and its vegetation is that of cacti and other hardy plants. Its fauna tends to be nocturnal. There are some oasis scattered about, usually with a settlement next to it. There is a mountain range that lies to the South East, and the desert begins to hit plains and grasslands to the North. There are a handful of rivers scattered about. The reason that Golden Persia is not a more frozen place like the majority of Wintreath is due to air and ocean currents the bring in warmer currents as they push away colder ones.

Flag: I'm very disappointed that I can't find the original flag I made for this nation. It was REALLY good. I guess I'll just describe it. It was rectangular, divided diagonally, bottom left to top right. The lower right half had seven vertical stripes, alternating blue and white. The upper left portion was solid powder blue, with an orange star in the top left. The seven stripes represented the seven Wards of the city. The orange star represents the united city-state, and Unity in general. Blue represents Hope, and white represents Peace.

Brief History of the Nation: Point Breeze became an independent state after the collapse of its parent state, Mantoria, after a military coup d'etat. Geographical characteristics: Point Breeze has a varied geographic profile. Located centrally on the continent, the southern mountain ranges gradually slide into flat plains, ending in high cliffs on the northern shore.
A. The City of Point Breeze
A hardworking populace, business-friendly policies, and other factors contributed to a rapid economic growth in Point Breeze. Numerous rivers crisscross the city, and proximity to the regional capital make it an important spot for every industry, from manufacturing to white collar enterprises. Thus, the uncontrollable expansion of the city now shapes the landscape at the source of the Monaca River. Directly south and to the west, high mountains flank the city, giving rise to the rivers that will run throughout the nation and providing many opportunities for recreation and escape from the urban sprawl for the residents of the city.
B. Central Point Breeze
Communities and the occasional large city hug the Monaca River as it meanders hundreds of miles along the nation north towards its mouth at the City of Rochester. To the west, low, sloping hills eventually cluster to form Oak Hill, which at 15,000 ft. passed "hill" status long ago. Here, the Monaca makes a sharp westward turn, leaving Eastern Point Breeze without the geographic connections of the rest of the nation. To compensate, a high-speed rail project linking the Capital to major eastern cities is currently underway, but funding has been intermittent.
C. Southern Point Breeze
Numerous rocky cliffs oppose the ocean to the north, broken only by the large mouth of the Monaca River, adjacent to which the city of Rochester sits. Seeing itself as the city that could maintain self-control, the landscape surrounding Rochester has been well-preserved, including dense pine forests to the South and West. Citizens of Rochester tend to view themselves as more sophisticated, and concentrate on the arts, education, and social welfare. The County of Rochester regularly lobbies these interests in the Assembly.
Small towns line the coast, especially where ports can be established, and low, rolling hills further west provide beautiful scenery in PB's least-densely populated county. This is considered the Beautiful Country, and the nation focuses much of its conservation efforts in this area.

I. What Is a Regency?
Simply put, a Regency is a nation or organization governed by Regents. We use the title Regent to refer to democratically-elected leaders of Counties, who meet as the legislative branch of our government in the Assembly of Regents. These important public servants voluntarily take up a massive responsibility at both the local and national levels, and their title seeks to honor them for that distinction.
A. Regency at the Local Level
Regents represent a geographical area called a County in the national Assembly. They also serve as general administrator of these regions. Their role is to "run" their county as mandated by the Assembly. The Virtue of Unity dictates the nation act as one, so mandates adopted by the Assembly are passed on to the Counties by their respective Regent. The people serve as their eyes and ears, dictating how national programs should be adopted, where funds will be spent, and coordinating the local justice system.
B. Regency at the National Level
In the Assembly, Regents' focus shifts from their local constituencies to national concerns. This dual-role ensures Regents always have the best intentions for their people in mind, and encourages the Regents to interact with their citizens on a personal level. They carry these concerns into the Assembly. One of the more important aspects of the Regency is to elect the Chancellor from within their own ranks. The founders of Point Breeze recognized the need for unified leadership, for a variety of reasons both foreign and domestic. Thus, the Chancellor acts as the Chief Executive of Point Breeze, setting national policy goals, leading the Assembly, and representing Point Breeze abroad.

Virtues
"It is firmly the duty of this Government to recognize and defend these Undying Virtues, and to make all its acts, enact all its powers, and command all its authority by these Undying Virtues of Peace, Unity, and Hope. In order to forever preserve these Virtues from the tyranny of the future, this Resolution shall remain inviolate..."
A. The Virtue Clause
The above is the central statement of Point Breeze's Constitution. Much of the political landscape of Point Breeze follows interpretations of this passage. The last sentence excludes the clause from any amendments, underscoring the importance of the three Virtues. Two interpretations now dominate PB politics:
The Infallibility Doctrine, at its most extreme, states that all government actions taken under one of the three virtues are infallible, and all other actions should be subject to close scrutiny.
The Stewardship Theory states the government of Point Breeze has an obligation to protect and advance these Virtues in the lives of its citizens. Legislation does not necessarily need to invoke a Virtue in order to be valid.
Most politicians and citizens in Point Breeze follow these two perspectives. The political structure of Point Breeze follows the Virtues closely, with at least one of the three systemically ingrained into the workings of the national government.
