Because this has been such fun at the World Fair, and it's fun being self-important once in awhile, I give you AMA! Ask me anything, and I'll answer if I can. :P

Wintermoot, who are your 1st, 2nd, and 5th favorite Wintreathians?
Favourite according to what scale? People I like best? People I think have served Wintreath best? Favourite is rather relative. :P

Winter moot, do you have a favorite American Football team you like?
Sorry, I don't really follow sports, so I have no favourite team to give you. :P

Do you like pie?
Very much so, although too often pie-bakers don't realize that a pie isn't a cake and try to make them too sweet, as was the case with a keylime pie I tasted recently. imo pies are the perfect combination of sweetness, tartness, and a yummy crust. ^_^

Quote
What do you think of YOLO?
No, just no. :P

Quote
What do you think of the first Underhusen?
Honestly, I thought it would be somewhat more active. There's so much the Underhusen could take up but hasn't, and I'm not sure if it's because they simply aren't aware of what they could do or if they're just satisfied with the way things are. In the same vein, I'm a little surprised that there hasn't been more debate within the Underhusen, and that what little there has been has been prompted by Overhusen vetoes, not anything internal.

Quote
What do you think is the next step in Wintreath's development?
I think that we're in transition from a new region to a more established region, with people that have "grown up" in Wintreath coming into their own and becoming large-scale contributors in our community. I think that's something to be encouraged, and I feel the "next step" is more organic community growth, where community members help chart the region's direction instead of me just stating it, especially in areas such as culture. On our end, we're looking to fill many of the vacancies in the Executive government, and with luck the end result of the next step will be more input from our Citizens and less micromanagement from me.

In reply to wintermoot's thoughts on the Underhusen I'm going to say that for me I don't really know what I can do in the underhusen, not to mention the fact that the bills I had planned I had written in advanced(or at least a form of them) or were mentioned by the other candidates.

Anywho on with the questions!

Do you have any ideas for a new law for wintreath, if so what is it?

YOLO?

What are some hopes you have for the future of wintreath?

What are some ideas you have for the region?

What is your favorite type of pie?

Do you know what Jaffa Cakes are? If so have you tried one? If so did you like it?

Do you hate fish?

What do you look forward to in the next election(which the Underhusen members have been in office for one month tomorrow)?

Do you have any ideas for a new law for wintreath, if so what is it?
Well, it would probably be nice to have a criminal code, so I'm not arbitrarily removing people whenever people need to be punished. :P

Quote
YOLO?
No.

Quote
What are some hopes you have for the future of wintreath?
Continued success and retention of our peaceful, cooperative community. Oh, and to see our Delegate beat out Spiritus' in endos. :P

Quote
What are some ideas you have for the region?
Don't worry, when I'm ready to put out any ideas I have I'll post about them. I'm not holding anything back. ;)

Quote
What is your favorite type of pie?
Pecan, followed closely by apple and keylime.

Quote
Do you know what Jaffa Cakes are? If so have you tried one? If so did you like it?
Daylen explained them to me after a chat on IRC mentioned them, but I've never tried one.

Quote
Do you hate fish?
Depends on the context...I like watching fish, but it's not my favourite thing to eat. I guess that just saves a few fish from being eaten. :P

Quote
What do you look forward to in the next election(which the Underhusen members have been in office for one month tomorrow)?
I look forward to candidates explaining their vision for the region and justifying their position in the Underhusen. I think one of the few benefits of actual elections is that candidates have to actually put out and explain what they want to do in detail during their term. I think a vigorous, active campaigns helps raise activity here on the forum too.

What did you think of the first Election?

Do you reject the notions of Wintreath Holidays?

Do you think we should give Nox his own Demonym?
I have no opinion on the matter. :P

Quote
What did you think of the first Election?
I thought as en election it was very successful. We had enough candidates that the nobody won by default, and I'm told we had more votes in our election than Spiritus, a far older and more established region, had in theirs.

Quote
Do you reject the notions of Wintreath Holidays?
Nope. In fact I signed the Regional Holidays Act when I was President of Spiritus. I don't know why I'd be against it now. :P

What do you think about the possible Demonym that is could end up in the Overhusen.
Well, we don't have a criminal code, a procedure for trying cases, or regulation for a number of things set up, but apparently the most important thing to consider in the region is how we'll refer to Nox in official documents. It just kinda seems...fluffy, at a time when the Underhusen could be taking up more serious matters in the month remaining in its term.

Do you think women should be allowed to go topless?
I'm honestly divided on that. In theory, yes they should, but every guy I've talked to that has wanted this has just really wanted to be able to freely ogle at breasts, so I"m not sure this would be doing women any favours to be honest.

Quote
Do you think women should be allowed to breastfeed in public?
Sure.

Quote
What languages do you know?
I was able to hack together enough Spanish to pass my high school courses, but that was a long time ago and I retain nothing from that. If you mean programming languages though, I know C/C++, Visual Basic, PHP, HTML (though it's not really a programming language), Javascript, and I've done very basic things in Java and Python. I also know SQL, though I'm not sure that counts as a language.

Quote
How does it feel to have a possible extra-terrestrial in your region?
Pretty good. ;)

Quote
Will you be like Queen Elizabeth and live forever?
Depends on if the Singularity hits in my lifetime. If not, I suppose there's always cryonics, though I'm not sure that counts as being like Queen Elizabeth.

Quote
What is your astrological star sign?
Pisces

Are you a Whovian?
I'm afraid not.

If you are, who is your favorite Doctor/companion?
N/A

If you are not, will you watch Doctor Who just to answer the question?
Probably not. I dunno how many friends have tried to get me to watch various shows and movies over the years. I'm pretty set in my ways and stubborn there. :P

Is it better to have loved and lost, then to have never loved at all?
I'm not sure. Sometimes I feel that it is, sometimes I feel that it isn't. I want to believe, but realistically I know that most love fades over time. But to be one of the few that finds someone to share love with the rest of their lives...it must be a wonderful thing. As you can see, I'm conflicted over that question...

No real story about it. I just needed a third thing and thought it sounded cool when I made the sig. :P

sex?
Sure.

Are you enjoying administering the region and being a part of the region? Do you feel you've achieved what you set out to do when you created this madhouse? :p
I'm not sure I had a set goal when I started...just not to fall flat on my face. I was afraid for my legacy in Spiritus at the time, that my success at building up that community as President would be shown to be a fluke if I didn't replicate that success here. That probably sounds petty, but at the time Spiritus was all I really knew, and until the explosive end I was used to being continuously complimented on how well I was running the region. I suppose after what happened in the end my confidence was a little shaken.

Since then I feel like we've not only rebuilt, but created an even better community...that's what really makes me happy. In my recent address, I talked about the culture and community organically growing on its own, which is something I never was able to accomplish in Spiritus, so I'm very excited to see where that goes in particular. I'm looking forward to the region being a little more community-driven and a little less Wintermoot-driven as it continues to find its voice. :D

Yes, I believe dogs have souls.

I suppose. :P

Probably when I was a kid getting ready to take a bath and was exposed naked to my friends...the door to our bathroom at that house was in front of another door in the living room, which was in front of a window looking outside. I was probably 5 or 6 then, and I wasn't allowed to close the door to take a bath yet. So I undressed, turned around, and there they were outside the window, three girls that I played with a lot at the time staring in back at me. It was awfully embarrassing at the time, though I don't remember what happened next time I saw them. :P

What sport would you consider yourself most interested in?
Title: Wintermoot: Ask Me Anything
Post by: Wintermoot on May 06, 2014, 06:04:12 PM
E-sports.

I don't really care for any actual sports. I did some baseball when I was a kid, until I got hit in the head with a ball...watched plenty of NASCAR if you can call that a sport, and had a pretty hot guy try to teach me basketball when I was in high school, but it's not something that's ever really interested me. On the other hand, I love the concept of e-sports and e-sport teams around games such as Starcraft and LoL, even though I personally horribly suck at both games. I will on occasion watch the commentated games that teams have, and I've looked up team websites for ideas...it's just something that fascinates me.

I would love to get a Wintreath team together for some game. I probably couldn't be on it if we wanted the team to be successful, but I think it would do wonders for regional culture and pride, especially if there were competitions against teams from other regions. I think it's an area of untapped potential for cultural growth in NS in general.

From what I've heard in the past you do a great job as an ambassador...a lot of people have complimented you to me there. :) However, you can also be stubborn and fail to realize that not all fresh ideas are automatically good, and you tend to refuse to listen when most people are giving valid reasons why an idea of yours couldn't or shouldn't be implemented.

When you founded Wintreath, why did you decide on a realm that was permanently in winter?
Title: Wintermoot: Ask Me Anything
Post by: Wintermoot on October 13, 2014, 02:37:46 AM
That story goes back before the founding of the region, actually.

Right before I left Spiritus, I wanted to create a test region to test using a hosted forum instead of the Zetaboards solution that region uses. I felt that using a hosted forum would allow for more possibilities, but Tim, the founder of Spiritus, wasn't into the idea and the test region wasn't meant to prove that it was feasible. However, regions need names and I suck at names...Leutheria and I spent two hours trying to come up with a good name for the region. At some point, I decided that it would be easier to come up with a name if there was a theme, and I like winter I felt it was a good place to start.

From there, I came up with the 'Wint' portion...then I played around with the name Markarth from Skyrim to produce Wintrath, but that didn't sound just right, so...Wintreath!

Several weeks later when I left Spiritus and needed a place to store my nations while I thought of where to go next, this is the name I used, and then I was convinced to make this a serious region and here we are, winter theme and all. :)

Title: Wintermoot: Ask Me Anything
Post by: Wintermoot on March 08, 2015, 02:18:53 PM
Fine, the fact of the matter is I have no experience with lubes so I guessed. :P

Ideal birthday present...you know, that's a hard one to answer. As long as my computer is working there aren't many material things I want. In fact most of my goals are improvements to the house...an air conditioner for my room, an indoor garden, those sorts of things. And there's games, but I'm patient enough to wait until they go on sale and then get them for the price they're really worth...in fact I feel bad when people gift me games and then a few days/weeks later they're on sale for much cheaper. I grew up without much money, so I know the value of the money I have now, even though it's not much more. :P

I would say right now the best present I could have is for people to take on some of the civic work of this region. This region means a lot to me, and for that reason I shoulder a lot of civic work such as recruiting new nations, writing the articles for the Orendi, etc, and to be honest sometimes even I get burned out on it. It sucks recruiting 30,000 nations in a month, day in and day out, no matter how great a tool I've built for it. And if people don't have time I would appreciate a donation too. I still live paycheck to paycheck and have bills, but I still pay for our website and Minecraft server because I feel they're better than shitty free solutions that most other regions use. We deserve the best. And I'm ok with taking on those costs, but it always thrills me when someone wants to donate. I know that most of us aren't exactly rich, so it gives me a good feeling when someone wants to give a portion of what they do have to me for what I'm doing here. Makes me feel like I'm doing something right.

And having more people involved in the region just makes it more stable and less dependent on one person, and that alone sets my mind at ease.

So yeah. :P

What has your overall experience been as the leader of the region?
Title: Wintermoot: Ask Me Anything
Post by: Wintermoot on June 17, 2015, 07:53:32 AM
I suppose the best answer is multifaceted.

Overall, it's been wonderful...Wintreath is the most successful community I've ever led, and I'm proud to lead a region that's not only so active, but so principled and accepting...things that are in short supply in NationStates in general. I feel like we have a really unique, loving, awesome region, and there's nowhere else in NationStates or online that I'd rather be. But that being said, I've faced my share of hardships as a leader. I've lost friends over decisions I've made about the region. I've had people attack me and attempt to assassinate my character for various reasons. I know people think less of me because I lead a region that's decided to 'hoard Govindia', in their words.

Those are just things that come with being a leader, though, and I knew that from the start and accepted it when I agreed to make Wintreath a serious region...overall, in spite of those things, my experience here has been awesome. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't...trust me, I left another region I was leading when it stopped being awesome. :P

I gave this a lot of thought, and to be honest I came up blank. The problem is I really don't care much about celebrities. If probably couldn't match most celebrity names with faces either. The closest that I can come up with Taemin (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UF8m2JIDjKU)...I guess he's a Korean celebrity. :P

Back in the early 2000s I had this fantasy of being gangbanged by Sum41 (https://jesscscott.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/sum41.jpg), though. Everything about those guys drove me wild. Probably not a crush though as much a lust. :P

It comes from the game Digital: A Love Story, which is still one of my favourite visual novels. Wintermoot is a named mentioned in one of the BBSes you access as part of the game, though they aren't a character in the game at all.

Oh, that's a good question...I had to think about that one for a minute. I think I would rather be the weakest player on the strongest team, because if the team overall is so strong they can probably help me to improve, while being the strongest player on the weakest team doesn't necessarily mean I'd be good enough to help the rest of the team...I could still be very weak myself in such a case.

Title: Wintermoot: Ask Me Anything
Post by: Wintermoot on October 01, 2015, 02:34:15 AM
Your issues wouldn't have any bearing on any decision I made in that area.

In looking for someone to date, I tend to look at how well we click, how much we talk and the depth those talks go into, and just...the feeling they give me...I like people that have unique and strong personalities that like to keep me on my toes and enthralled with a sense of wonder. Someone who aren't too meek to stand up to me if I'm doing something stupid, but can do so without making it feel like an attack or judgement. Those are more...non-specific things I guess. When it's there I just feel it...

As for us specifically, I really couldn't answer that question to be honest because we haven't really talked much besides casual chit-chat and random things...but no, your issues wouldn't be a problem.

5) If you could punch a developer in the face, who would it be and why?

*Note: number 1 has a correct answer. Choose wisely.

1) Well, I use imperial, being American and all, so it kind of wins by default. :P

2) Probably one of the stat effects from Mordor: The Depths of Dejenol, which was one of the first dungeon crawlers that I ever got into. As you went lower, you started running into monsters that could drain your primary stats, paralyze you, age you (which put you closer to permadeath), or stone you (which was instadeath if not resisted). Not sure they make games like they used to. :P

3) I probably wouldn't personally do so, since I've never played it and I've decided to only organize the Civ games to prevent burnout. I can't run everything, lol! Buuuttt...anyone can make a night for another game, and I encourage them to do so! In fact when I started with the Civ games that's what I hoped would happen.

4) I try not to look forward to games, seeing as I have to wait for the price to drop before I can afford them. However, if I had to pick one it would be Titanic: Honor and Glory (http://www.titanichg.com/). I'm a sucker for Titanic games, and there hasn't been a good one since 1996's Adventure Out of Time. I tried the limited demo that they did when they were fundraising, and it was very impressive...

5) The developer behind "The Journey to Kelabra" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FblFW8SKh8M)...a few years back another website I used to be a part of reviewed it, and the bad taste has remained with me since. I've played porn games, and even enjoyed some, but just that it's so stereotypically gay...and that it thinks I would have fun playing it with friends...or even myself. >_>

Do you like trains?
I like them just fine. :)

I don't quite know what all this means, but I'll take a shot...not responsible for anything I misunderstood. :P

1) How do you feel about Huniepop?
I actually wrote a review about it a few months ago that I posted here (http://wintreath.com/forums/index.php?topic=2478.msg38436#msg38436)! It didn't get much traction, but hey, at least I presume you'll read it since you were interested enough to ask...

2) Flog, Crop, or Bare Hand?
Bare-hand...there's something about the sound a hand makes when it strikes a bare ass, and then seeing the hand print. I dunno, maybe it's more personal that way. :P

3) Would you "Ooh baby baby, push me real good"?
Do you want to be pushed real good? ;)

4) Do you prefer your man Nice and Tight (Shave style), Bushy, or Bare?
Bushy, maybe trimmed if they have an excessively bushy bush. I don't like bare at all...it makes guys look prepubescent down there, and obviously I find that connection a complete turnoff. :P

2. Will you answer this question not in the affirmative?

3. Is "heterological" heterological?

Eh, it's not like I'm actually all that interesting. :P

Hmm...that's a tough one, especially since it's rare that I have a favourite anything. Overall though, I tend to prefer the DS9 characters...for the most part they're more flawed, darker, and dare I say more human than the characters in most of the other series. Then again, it's hard to beat Spock in overall awesomeness...this is why I don't have favourites, btw. :P

Actually, I wasn't a often fan of how Q was portrayed in TNG, where especially at the beginning he seemed written in as a one-dimensional character...thankfully that improved later on in the series and especially in the Voyager episodes that he appeared. I liked him in the Star Trek: Borg (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek:_Borg) computer game too, though that's probably one of the better Star Trek games to start with. :P

For the next while I'm open specifically to serious questions about NS/Wintreath/related things...if it's successful I may make an article for the Orendi or something. That's a good question. :)

I'm actually trying to bring back the close friendships and close-knit feeling the region had in the first year or two. Not to say we're not personable now, but back then a lot of us were really close friends that talked about anything and everything...compared to those days, I think a degree of distance has set into the community, and I think to some extent that's my fault. After some shit happened, I became more closed-off myself, and I think over time the way I was reflected into the community.

But I'm trying to be more open again, and I'm trying to make the time to be more involved with the region and be on IRC and to make the effort to have actual discussions that reflect what I'm thinking and feeling when people are around. I'm hoping in time that will reflect into the community as well. =]

Thanks for the questions. :)

IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat, and it basically lets people chat with each other. You can download an IRC client, or you can access it online by going to the community menu and clicking chat.

I suppose I'm somewhere between a libertarian and a liberal...I believe that consenting adults should be able to do what they want so long as it doesn't harm a third-party, and that the role of government isn't to protect people from themselves. However, I also believe that it is a role of government to protect the rights of its Citizens and to ensure that they all have the ability to sustain and advance themselves in life, especially minorities and the poor. If it helps, during the last American election I voted for Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary, and then for Hillary Clinton in the general election (if only because she was preferable to Trump).

There's a link to the Steam group on the front page of the forums, but you can also search for it in the Steam client and join that way. There's no restrictions on who can join. :)

Hey there...thanks for the questions. :)

I'm not sure that the Steam group has ever been very active, but people still join it and it's there in case we ever want to do anything with it in the future. :D I haven't personally been on the MC server lately, but from what I've been told it's been fairly active lately but you can still sometimes go on and nobody else be around. I guess that's mostly from being small though. :P

As for what got me started, I was looking for political simulation games one day a few years ago, and NS was one of the first links...there weren't many free games, so I gave NS a try and here I am now. :)

Do you ever look at all the effort put into all of this, at your own post count, at how long this has been going on, and fear the day it will all end, new people stop coming, everyone else moves on, and all that is left is the memory of time spent and the lingering thought of 'Was it all worth it'?

It sounds like you think that outcome is inevitable.

No, I don't, because I want to cultivate something that matters to people, whether it's because of the people they can get to know, the things they can do, or the impact they can make...or they just like having a place to relax and have fun. If there was absolutely nobody left at some point in the future, that means I failed to make something that matters to the people who were here. It's not going to end, at least as long as I have something to say about it.

When I do think of Wintreath in the future, I'm either thinking of what could be done to make it better, or I'm dreaming of more successful futures...sometimes outlandish futures. Like last week I was talking with someone about how awesome it'd be to do a real-life neighborhood, full of those tiny houses, where people that wanted to live close to each other could easily and cheaply do so. Kinda like Wintreath, but off-line. At least the person I was talking to thought it was a cool idea. :P

When I put my heart into something, I'm in it to win it. Wintreath is no exception.

Just a quick partial response before Wintermoot answers, but the footer of the website says that Wintermoot built off of Simple Machines 2.0 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simple_Machines_Forum). Though that seems to be only for the forums, and not other parts of the website.

I took a C++ course in high school, then I went to college for computer science which included some C, Java, and Visual Basic stuff, but most of what I learned when it comes to web programming is actually self-taught.

Back in the olden days of 2005, I was involved with a game called Mystera Legends (which is where I met @Evelynx, incidently). The owner of the game decided to let players create their own server, and I was one of the admins for one of those initial servers. By this time I had already managed small forums for about three years, but I thought it'd be really cool for players on our server to see and manage their characters on a website, which involved being able to query the game server to get that information and then use it to display what their character looked like, their stats, and their inventory. That was my first foray into actual web programming, then over the years as I took on other projects I learned new things.

I still have the code for that project. According to the comments, I started on July 1st, 2005.

As for this specific website, the events that led up to my leaving Spiritus and Wintreath being a serious thing happened really quickly, so all of a sudden we needed a forum for a new region...we didn't have time for me to take a few weeks and create a whole new site, so I used the code/design for an Elvoria clan site I'd built a year earlier and modified it to fit our needs. As taulover pointed out, the forum is SMF, which I'd came to like for being free, having streamlined code, and being easy to modify and build off of. To some extent or another, the custom web pages tie into the Simple Machines API or directly access the database, which I've also customized and added new tables (for things like laws, donations, karma, etc.) into over the years.

The Original Elvoria clan site

Being a member here doesn't automatically make someone my friend or close friend, but it also doesn't prevent the possibility from happening...like anywhere, it depends on how often and how personally I come to interact with the person and whether we just click. There's been people on here I view as acquaintances, friends, close friends, and even more than that. I've fallen for people on here before, and in some cases have had relationships with them.

Being here helps insofar as it's a venue for people to meet and get to know people, but how close any individual relationship goes depends on the people involved in it.

There have been challenging times, and there have been things that have happened that left me feeling upset or sad, but thankfully those times have been few and far between, and not anything that's happened anytime recently. There's plenty of people that don't like me, either because I left Spiritus and started my own region, because I accepted Govindia into the region, because of the sexual element here, or because they're friends with people who don't like me for those reasons and don't know better but I'm not important enough in NS to have rivals. I don't think I've had any here either...there have been people who didn't like some decisions I made, and people who have made a stink over some things, but nothing that ever developed into the sort of dislike or hatred to become a rivalry.

Huh, interesting timing on that question and answer...

Okay, I have to check who this Govindia was, later.
Edit: Huh, "10. Possible Revocation of Govindia's Citizenship - 185 likes" shows up in a top ten most liked topics post. Seems like a strong hint...
Edit2: Harassing people? Instant dislike from me. Is it too late to symbolically add a vote to remove him? I think it's fair to say that I would not have gotten along with him very well.

For now, people have had a problem with the sexual element here? That seems odd. In another region, someone was surprised that I didn't have a problem with it, after I admitted to having been beaten and raped to explain one of my posts there (here I just got it out of the way first to possibly explain future posts). But there was an important difference here. Nobody is objectifying anyone, either another forum member or anyone else. Everyone seems to understand consent, nobody is forcing anyone to do anything. I even used to be a 'check-behind-the-shower-curtain' person, and even I can say that they way this group talks about the subject is completely fine.
And now after typing that, I wonder, they wouldn't mean because it's pro-LGBT here right? Because one thing I don't get is how LGBT+ is inherently more sexual than the alternative. Based on the population level, I'm pretty sure straight people are doing it too. Just seems more acceptable for some reason.

In fairness, most of the people who have that opinion have never actually been here or experienced the community, and at one time someone was spreading a rumour that Wintreath was founded as a sex region because I couldn't have sexy times in Spiritus (both claims untrue, lol). In the region itself, there have been discussions here about the sexual aspect of the region from time to time, but that was mostly people who objected to even being around it, back when IRC was more active and was much more sexual.

If LGBT communities are more sexual, I think it's because you have people who have spent a lot of time pondering sex as part of exploring their sexuality and are thus more open to discussing it, who may have had trouble finding other LGBT people to have sex with offline and don't in that community, and because sex is just something the community has in common. I don't have a problem with any of that...I like making friends and having fun times with them, in a way it brings us closer and it's something I cherish with the friends I've gone that far with. It's when people in communities care nothing about sex that I think it's a problem. That's when you open the door to the something that's shallow and exclusionary.

Thanks for the questions! :)
I'm sure I've seen the answer before but I forgot so I'll ask :D
How did you come up with the name Wintreath?
A few weeks before Wintreath was founded, I had already planned on making a test region to try to convince Tim (the founder of Spiritus) of switching to a self-hosted forum where we could do a lot more than could be done using Zetaboards. Over the course of a few hours one afternoon, Leutheria/Insenjar and I shot out ideas to each other about a name for the test region, but nothing sounded right. At some point we pulled up a map of Skyrim and I honed in on Markarth, which became Winterarth because winter is my favourite season. Then we played around with it until it sounded right. Winterth, Wintreth, and finally Wintreath.

When shit happened and I left Spiritus, I needed a place to store my nations, so I went ahead and created the region with the name we had came up with. :)

What was the inspiration behind the name Inric Kestar?
Originally it was Inric Volkihar, back in my very early days in NS when I was focusing on developing my original nation, Idantir. I used some RP name generator with the first name, and pulled the second from Skyrim because I thought it was cool. Then I briefly became Inric Locksley when Cormac and later Tim adopted me, before the family changed it's name to Stark. It became Kestar after Wintreath was founded and my relationship with Tim was beginning to sour...basically, Leuth, who was my NS-wife at the time, came up with a list of potential names, and we picked Kestar as the one we liked best. We then announced it here (https://wintreath.com/forums/index.php?topic=851.0). :)

Have you ever thought about writing joke royal decrees? :P
Not seriously, no. I'm way too serious-minded for that. :P

I don't think I've asked this, and I'm a little leary of checking if it's been asked before.

What's the reasoning behind your username?
What's the most far-fetched life goal you've got?
What... is your favourite colour!

I know you own a car. What kind is it? Has it been reliable? Are you satisfied with it?

Thoughts on koalas?
I still remember the first time I learned about Koalas when I was a kid. I was watching a show called Kratts' Creatures (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kratts%27_Creatures) on public television (we only had basic cable, lol), and they did an episode on animals unique to Australia. I thought they looked cute and cuddly then, and I still do. :)

1) I got it from Digital: A Love Story (http://scoutshonour.com/digital/). It's a game that's played with interacting with various old-style in-game BBSes, and the sysop for one of them was Wintermoot. I liked it and happened to be looking for a new name, so I borrowed it. As an aside, it's a fun little game, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to kill a few hours.

2) I don't think I really have far-fetched goals...those would be more like fantasies than things I actually work towards. :P I just want to be able to make money in a way that I'm not tied to any particular location to work, maybe have some cottages that I can travel between when I feel like it, and hopefully have some good friends to hang out with. Oh, and to be healthier of course. :P

3) Hmm, I don't know if I have an absolute favourite per say, but I like darker colours. Greys, dark blues, dark greens, things like that.

Until the end of September I owned a 2013 Kia Sportage...it was pretty basic, but it was reliable. Unfortunately, the service wasn't as great and I traded it in for a 2012 Accura TL when they tried to screw me over (as I believe I predicted they would in SWOYM). It has a lot more stuff like a sunroof, heated seats, and independent temperature controls for driver and passenger side, but there's some issues that we're still trying to get fixed a month and a half later, mostly that the low battery light keeps coming on. Fortunately it's still under complete warranty, so tomorrow the dealership is going to take it to Accura and have them fix it for free, so it's more of a big hassle than anything. Otherwise, I really like it...it's fun to drive. ^-^
