So both North's thread and the fact that I've been playing the Sims lately ended up giving me this idea.
Like North, I would play a game with custom characters, namely the Sims 3 or 4 (depending on the preference you prefer). I would create your character based on the application you'd submit when that thread is posted, if enough interest is garnered.
I would play through the game each day and post a story about your sims when interesting things happen: your Sim falls in love, dies, their house catches fire, they get bitten by a vampire/werewolf, etc...
For Sims 3, I have all of the main expansions (World Adventures, Supernatural, Seasons, etc...), as well as many mods.
For Sims 4, I have the base game as well as many, many mods, but will be picking up the main expansions and game packs on Thursday.
Sims 3 has much more options, but Sims 4 would give your Sims more autonomy and is much faster to load (Sims 3 can take up to 20 minutes to get to the actual game itself for each load up).
If anyone is interested in taking part in this, please let me know which of the two games you'd prefer to take part in.

I think it's an excellent idea! I would be very much interested in taking part in whichever version everyone else wants to, although I'm not familiar with The Sims 4 at all.

The two are very similar, with 4 being the newest.
The differences with 4 being:
*The character creation is much more in depth, much like how you can change features in Fallout 4, though in The Sims 4, it extends to the body as well, and you can make anything from fit to overweight as well as adjust the size of the belly, butt, and other parts of the body (but not the front equipment ;) )
*Unlike Sims 3 to where it was free exploration (IE travel between houses/town areas seamlessly (give or take loading times)), it goes back to Sims 2's one area at a time traveling...though you can still see what's going on at places near yours.
*This extends to work. While you can still change what type of work your Sim does, you don't get to travel with them to work except for the new jobs offered in Get To Work.
*You can build pre-built rooms for houses, though I think Sims 3 did this as well.
*Cell phones are given right at the start, and can be used to find jobs, hire services, text/call friends, and whatnot.
Everything else so far is the same. Much like the previous games, it's missing content until it's released in an inevitable expansion such as Supernatural, Pets, and Seasons. Open for Business and Night Life have already been released (known as Get To Work and Get Together), and they've got plans for a lot more down the road.

I added a poll for people to cast their vote on their preferred game. In the long run, it will only really affect the race you can be (since Supernatural added in the Ghost, Werewolf, Vampire, Witch, Genie, and Fairy races) and travel, since Island Paradise and World Adventures both added vacation spots.

I also think this sounds interesting :)) I've played the sims a lot in the past; though one of me and my friends favorite thing to do was to make each other as sims (including picking the personality traits and stuff) had a lot of laughs with that. ^-^
