Nominate and Stand for Election!

Here you may nominate someone for or stand for election to the next term of the Underhusen. As stated in the Fundamental Laws only Citizens of Wintreath can be nominated for or stand for elections. Once you have stood for election, you may begin campaigning by creating a topic in this forum. Elections will begin six days from today, on 1 April 2016.

Barnes has done an excellent job as Speaker, so I say let him stay on and do it again in the next session.

EDIT: Also, with the passage of our seating act, we'll be running for 7 seats.

It'll be good to have an Underhusen that's capable and driven, and from what I'm seeing of those who're accepting nominations or standing on their own right, we'll have that. I'd be happy to be a part of it :) And let's see about sorting out this OA Act, considering it's failed to be ratified. It'd be an awful shame for all the hard work of the last term to go to waste.

Post by: Weissreich on March 25, 2016, 11:56:26 PM: Oh, I'd also like to second @HannahB's nomination - she had some good criticisms of the OA Act last time round and it'd be great to have her on board for running a more critical eye over whatever we end up producing :) That and she's generally a pretty smart woman, so we can't go far wrong with her on the side.

However I definitely highly recommend both North and Barnes. They are both excellent representatives, listen well, and are quite rational. :)

I am also announcing that I accept my nomination regardless of whether those others I mentioned joined in, but I still want to get the band back together, so I hope they'll consider running. :P

Saying this is a little counterproductive for the ideals I have been pushing, but since we have seven seats available I urge you to carefully reconsider, we really could use more candidates. (I'm not exactly sure if you meant that you'll be completely stepping down from being a candidate or just announced that you won't be campaigning, but either way getting you back on the race would be great.)

Unless you're saying that you also wouldn't have time for the UH if elected. :/

I won't have time to campaign and I doubt I would have time for the UH, unless some miracle happens. So I am announcing I will no longer be a candidate.

I'm seriously considering dropping out the race because I don't even know if it's worth caring anymore.

God these past few days have overall been so depressing. I honestly wish I had vodka with me right now. The cloeset thing I have is wine and that's my roommate's :-/
