Title: They fell from the sky
Post by: Insectum on March 18, 2015, 01:42:30 PM
In a certain city, by a certain coast lived a mystic named Halvard who spent his days studying the stars and making predictions. Having access to a powerful telescope helped his cause and he made a nice living off those who believed his words.

Unfortunately, this night, he saw a strange new sight, and to his eyes it appeared as a small blue star approaching Wintreath. Gasping in surprise, he rushed off to inform all he could. If a star was approaching, it could mean many things, including great disaster!

All who looked could see for themselves, there it was, a blue star approaching Wintreath.

OOC: Forgive the small opening, it's due to lack of familiarity with Wintreath. If this could be given a home in the Forum, that'd be nice. I figure, if I post this small amount, then that gives others a chance to react based on rumor, on factual evidence of something blue approaching, and allows IC time to pass, as clearly something this bright will have been spotted through various means before it actually falls.

Marchosias had no intentions of starting his day in such an uncomfortable manner. His slumber was ruined by a terrifying nightmare and he woke up finding himself drenched in sweat. He was a Fortunata, an individual believed to be born with the gift of prophecy. He secretly regarded it as a curse though, claiming that the ability to foresee impending doom was in no way a blessing. Now that he had done his daily rant, he proceeded to drag himself out of bed. Unbuttoning his lavender purple satin pajamas, he placed them gingerly on the headboard before heading to the washroom. Everything was according to his daily morning routine, with him washing his face, brushing his teeth and taking a warm shower. When the door swung open, he was properly dressed in his azure robe.

There had been rumours of a blue celestial object falling from the sky. Under normal circumstances, he would have dismissed them as unsubstantiated gossip but this time was different. Crystallis, the God of Arcane Knowledge, had personally visited him in his dream and cautioned him that if no preparations were made, there was a high possibility that an apocalypse would take place, resulting in the complete annihilation of his race.

*the changeling queen while not native to this realm notices a disturbance in the hive mind like as if it was picking up some strange interference kept interrupting updates from across the realms*

My queen I have some startling news, There is something in the sky!!! one of her guards storms into her room.

I thought i told you thats the inv..

*notices cameras present in the council room*

Investigation team i have sent to obviously investigate what ever is in the sky. she fumbles a bit before nervously chuckling.

*the guard then looks confused*

Aren't you supposed to be heading the operation? the queen raises a eyebrow and lays a bag of bits on the table.

*the guard than salutes before leaving the office bag in hand as both whistle inconspicuously*

24 hours passed, and the Blue Star was visible, both day and night. It'd only be a few more days before it crashed, somewhere.

Those with Telescopes could see, a craft was inside the Blue Star. Psions, Seers, and others similarly able began hearing messages from the star, that came as images.

....
Image one:

A lone woman walked across a green plain, the grass rolling and waving in the wind. The woman's form is indistinct, and seems rather dark and blurry. It is clear though, no form of intelligence is in her mind, her, and her people, are all as the wild beasts. She went to a tower that stretched beyond the sky into the stars, and there met a terrifying monster that was even more indistinct than the woman.

She gave the monster a bundle on her back, and proceeded through a door into a maze. From the raucous laughter, and objects hurled at her, it was clear the strange woman and her people were both slave and sport to the terrifying monsters. At the end of the maze lay the woman's prize, a slow painful death to amuse the monsters more. A Blue Light flashed, and the woman's eyes changed, something new filling them, something that angered the monsters. Intelligence. The Blue Light flashed again, and the strange woman was gone, simply, gone.

The last scene in the image were words.
"Pray for the innocent who are tormented for sport by cruel uncaring masters."

*the day had past and the queen was certain as the invasive voices in the changeling hive mind began to become clearer as the frequencies intermixed yet remained their own*

How interesting this swarm is for it is unlike are own...

*she then takes a sip from a large mug of Karg as she looks into the blue overhead*

However they lack in certain areas in which we thrive...

*the changeling thinks for a moment*

However they have potential in the Horde...

*the changeling makes up her mind and after some concentration amplifies her voice in the hive mind through the legions she has guarding her in this realm*

WE HAVE HEARD YOUR SONG, A CRESCENDO OF RISING VOICES, BUT IT IS HOLLOW TRULY, WE HAVE A OFFER, INTEGRATE THE SONGS OF OUR PEOPLE JOINING US, OR SUFFER THE WRATH OF A LEGION THAT HAS CONSUMED AND EXPANDED ACROSS THE VERY MULTIVERSE, JOIN US AND LET ARE SWEET MUSIC DRIVE US BOTH OR SILENCE WILL BEFALL YOU!!!! the voices of the hive beyond number ring out in a twisting sound of a sweet sonnet and a shaking roar to the other hive mind intruding.

*the queen then settles back into her embassies royal room awaiting a response from foreign Swarm*

A curious thing happened. A spark shot from the star, zooming ahead, and entering the chambers of The Changling Queen.

It stopped before her, and pulsated gently.

"Strong you are, to sense the slumbering minds of the multitude yet to come. Yet slumbering they are, for they are all asleep, held in perfect stasis for over one million years by my power. They know me as Deep Blue. As they know me, so shall you. I chose them as mine for reasons I do not care to share at this time. As I have chosen them, so too then is the impetus upon me to insure their safety. I cannot carry them much longer.

You speak of a joining, your swarm to The Four People, a fine offer to be sure. But what proof do you offer, that you do not intend The Four People to merely be slaves? I did not free them from slavery to one, simply to give them over to Slavery under another.

The Four People have unique needs all their own, and the social structure to meet those needs. How can I know that the needs of your own people will not put upon them a terrible burden they cannot meet?

Perhaps most importantly, Terrible Monsters from beyond all Times, and all Spaces do pursue the Four People. It is a fine boast to claim having expanded across The Multi-verse, but how will your weapons fare against that which comes from beyond? If you join with The Four People, how will you protect them until they can protect themselves?" The spark named Deep Blue asked.

The spark felt, powerful, incredibly so. But, what was Deep Blue? Was it a separate entity? Was it the manifestation of the collective will of The Four People? If it was a separate entity, what kind of an entity was it? These were questions none knew the answer to, for Deep Blue would not speak of them, and no other had yet found out his secrets.

*the queen after receiving her signal smirks*

My queen you had summoned me for something...

*the queen shhhhhss him before returning to a moment of pure delight*

I see them...

*the guard looks confused*

What do you see your...

*he is cut off before she slams her guard against the wall*

DON"T INTERRUPT ME!!! she shouts as he is pinned against it.

*the guard shaking in his carapace remains quiet*

Now where was I, oh yes the horde that comes...although smaller in number to our legions unmatched they pose some potential use to us....their demands I can negotiate because i expect them to to see the results of our mutually beneficial partnership...

*the queen then with a simple wave of her hand opens a rift in space and time to a toxic barren wasteland seemingly stripped of all recourses as a woman extremely similar to high queen chrysalis walks through the portal to meet her*

My queen I have conquered yet another realm in your name, the excess recourses have been extracted from all uninhabited worlds, The local wildlife has been tamed and studied for traits favorable to the hive, and the majority of the realms people have proven their strength to be a independent race under the hives consortium while the rest had been resistant to operating under our banner, I would judge this operation as a successful integration of this realm to the horde. the woman debriefs to her superior kneeling at her queens will.

*the high queen claps*

I am impressed queen Hemlock, but i have another task for you and your hive. she says to the dark purple haired queen.

*she lets go of the guard and allows him to return to work*

Yes my queen. she says in a loyal voice.

I want you and your hive to intercept the wayward craft and examine if they are worth the effort to assimilate into the horde, I want no aggression from anyone of your hive...however arrive in mass around the craft and halt it with a minor flotilla of 50 interceptors and 20 destroyers, After that board the craft as access their situation, I also want you to meet with their leader and give her the usual terms and conditions rant...

Yes my queen.

But leave out the part about us having "Indentured servants of non-partnered conquered races" I suspect that will be a big turn off for who ever she is...

Yes my queen. Hemlock nearly gets up and leaves.

Oh and tell her the queen of the horde welcomes her presence...

Yes my queen. she begins to leave

And remember my dear have fun. she says as hemlock walks out the door.

*the queen then lets herself relax and lies down on her custom tailored sofa drinking from a ornate chalice containing a deep dark red liquid*

As the Queen spoke, the ship halted of its own accord, almost as if it could hear her. It resembled a giant blimp, seemingly made of Chitin.

Slowly, ponderously a crack formed, and a mouth opened as a docking bay of sorts.

The interior was claustrophobic, and structured according to insectoid logic, utilizing Honeycomb design patterns for superior usage of space. In each cell was a sleeping insectoid, sleeping spiders in others. One Cell was completely sealed, behind barriers, and protected by other Cells. The Cell of the sleeping Queen. That one could not be peered into.

For anyone taking a quick peek, there were four races, humanoid/insectoid Flies of varying sorts, Bee people of various kinds, Ant People, and Spider People. One that was clearly some sort of Tarantuloid took up an impressive 4 cells.

But the Queen's chamber was the big mystery, with no visible path to the Queen, and the others would not awaken, until she awakened. Deep Blue flowed throughout the ship, the only point of contact thus far.

Marchosias used to be labelled a heretic and persecuted for being a follower of Crystallis … but that was before his rise to national prominence after his prediction that a neighbouring empire would invade through Senzetor Province turned out to be uncannily accurate. After his involvement in the War of the Holy Chalice, he became a prominent religious figure who wielded a large amount of influence in the nation.

At the moment, this highly esteemed figure was in his throne room, frantically flipping through tomes taken from the Forbidden Library. Time was running out. It was not like before when he had the luxury of sauntering around his cathedral, admiring the stained glasses that featured some of the deities in the Pantheon or the comfort of sitting on his throne that was built on a five-stepped raised platform, reminiscing about the past. His instinct told him that there must be some records of a similar event taking place in the past but so far, he had no luck in his search.

"Pray for the innocent who are tormented for sport by cruel uncaring masters."
What did that mean? What was the significance and purpose of the message?

*The changeling fleet arrives surrounding the ship*

Teams A-E enter Airlock bravo to travel to the vessel!!! a voice booms over the loudspeakers.

*The changelings shedding their humanoid forms reveal themselves to be equine in build with a skeletal appearance as thick bony black chitin coats their entire bodies, They posses all the traits of the 3 big races of their home world a horn, wings, and strong build...but they looked corrupted and feral with holes going right through their limbs, odd insect like forms, a mouth full of sharp teeth, and eyes that glow the color of their hive*

Ok my subordinates go in there and deal the situation, I want all data onboard the ship categorized, All non-sentiant life contained and brought back for experimentation, and set up the short range rift gate so i can personally arrive. the queen orders her troops though the intercom as the room vents of all air and the pressure is equal to outside.

*The changelings make their space walk to their target seemingly using naturally clinging hooves to stick to the surfaces of debris and the hulls of the space craft to the entrance on the alien ship*

We are in...

*the team illuminates their horns in a sickly green aura some firing flares of magic that stick and brightens the halls as the team examines the craft throughly*

The teams would find everything as described before, the people still in stasis in their cells. There was no non-sentient life. Though later, if asked, the Bees, Spiders, and Ants would all agree the Flies came close to qualifying, much to the strenuous objections of the Flies.

The Ship itself was dying, trying its best to maintain life long enough to reach planetfall.

Deep Blue coalesced into a giant sphere infront of the Teams.

"Welcome, I am Deep Blue. I have already met your Queen, and speak for the slumbering people. I will not wake them until they have Home to wake up in.

Colberius and Halvard step out into the cold, a stark contrast to the warmth of the tavern.

"Now, do you have a way to get us to the site of the star's landing? Or shall we take my ride?"

The Inquisitor tips his head to indicate a jetbike hidden in the shadows next to the tavern.

"I have no means of getting to The Blue Star." Halvard replied, pointing it out in the sky. He squinted.

"Perhaps a swift return to my telescope for a quick look is in order, unless you can get us to it directly, quickly." Halvard suggested.

"Hop on.  And hold on tightly."

Ok then Who am I supposed to address to explain the terms with...

*the other research changelings look into the pods Windows seeing the insectoid forms jotting some notes down  while others examine the architecture of the ship along with any technology the craft possesses*

The Leader of this race, the caretaker of it, or should i just address  the walls of this craft for at this point I am just getting irritated. she shouts a bit while appearing very crossed.

*the some more changelings arrive with several odd green crystal like needles and firmly attach them to a nearby wall in a arch pattern*

"I am beyond physical form. Can you not see the blue orb in the ship, did you not see the humble spark in your throne room when I asked you many pertinent questions? When I told you I was known by these ones as Deep Blue, and so too would you know me, did you not hear me? If your terms will answer the questions I posited to you in your throne room, then speak, and let me hear them." Deep Blue said.

The researchers would find, everything was organic, no other form of technology could be found on the ship. These people would someday possess an amazing prowess over the manipulation and control of Organic Matter.

*hemlock then hears a message from the queen*

I told you to GET THE JOB DONE. she goes from a calm whisper to menacing war in seconds leaving Hemlock shaking.

yes my queen. she says shakily before snapping back into reality.

*the changelings placing the crystals appear to be nearly done*

Ok I apologize for the lack of info from my Queen....

*Hemlock pulls out a manuscript with her magic*

I see Great potential and prove your position into being a member protectorate under the hordes banner....

*she coughs a bit before seemingly skipping to the major bits*

1.As a protectorate you are under the protection of the changeling horde in times of conflict...however you must contribute a bulk of your military to the changeling swarm which can be called at a moments notice to protect changeling interests.

2. The horde will provide and encourage trade among other nations to help your nation and also the whole of the swarm grow....however you will have to reach certain quotas of production and pay 40% of all profit to the horde and will be obligated to transport all matter of cargo that may prove controversial to some.

3. Research and technology is shared among all member nations of the horde...If confidential info exists it must be at least available in times of crisis to the whole of the swarm.

4. Expansion is completely fine as long as the planet is not inhabited by a member or servant race of the horde...but all resources and knowledge gained from the planet goes to the benefit of your nation and as a whole the horde.

5. Citizens will have all rights presented by your government and if requested can be converted into a changeling if they so desire and placed into a position in the horde they specialize before they are converted...However any non-sentiant or brain dead individuals of the protectorate are required to upon death be sent to the horde to be analyzed for any particular genetic benefits that can be used to the hordes advantage.

6. National governments still have power to lead, legislate law, enforce law, and remain relatively unchanged...however in time of great crisis The changeling horde has complete control over all of the government.

7. Changelings will provide mass warp gates to allow travel across the multiverse for all member races and conquered worlds...However with joining a hive of the changeling horde shall be established on the nation and the 25km land around it is considered a part of the changeling empire.

8. You have the freedom to uphold certain culture beliefs and religions...however a modified equestrian temple of worship must be present in all major population centers of the nation

9. All changelings above the rank of drone are considered essential and are not to be mistreated in any way...However all "indentured servants" of conquered races that are not owned by someone else or changeling drones are considered expendable and can be treated however desired.

10. Loyalty to the hive is rewarded with further cooperation and the above...However betrayal to the horde can result in the mass execution and further demotion to conquered race, or mass extinction and a fate worse than death for all members of the race left.

*the changeling rolls up the parchment and places it in a courier bag*

I think the offers very generous considering the thing I am guessing you are protecting these people from and the planet we are providing as a little promotional gift  from the horde to...

*Looks at the pods around her*

These People? Bugs? Insectoids. the changeling stumbles to find a answer as she awaits a response.

Activating the jetbike's Auspex, Colberius located the star with a quick scan of the area. Having gained his bearings, he sent the bike thirty feet straight up. Taking only a moment to spin the bike 150 degrees, the Inquisitor gently fed low power to the thrusters.

The jetbike shot forward at around 100 mph, barely tapping the bike's potential.  He was afraid to go any faster with an unprotected passenger riding behind him, but felt that their current speed would be sufficient.

In less than three minutes, the star was before them.

*colberius is greeted at the potential landing site by the changeling queen who reveals that the crafts glow is emanating not from the craft itself but a tear in time and space linking the world and what appears to be space through a permeable membrane creating a majestic window showing the scene before them *

I am sorry to disappoint you but the craft you are looking for is currently in orbit being examined by a small scouting fleet of changelings...

*she looks to the sky*

Hopefully they make the right decision and become a protectorate under the changeling horde, we are just so similar you know we would benefit from a partnership. the queen mentions as she sits down to a nice picnic she prepared for them when they arrived.

The Lord Inquisitor sets the bike down near the picnic laid before them.  "Halvard...stay with the bike. And don't touch anything. Give me a minute."  Colberius discreetly unfastens the flap of his holster before taking a step towards the queen.

"Is it normal changeling practice to assimilate everyone new they encounter? Perhaps these newcomers just wanted to find a home here in Wintreath."

Colberius stops several paces away from the queen and looks her in the eye.

"I just left High Queen Chrysalis, frozen in time, at the Frostbite Tavern.  And all of the changelings there, with the exception of a scribe named Lilith, had lost contact with the hive mind."

The Inquisitor rests a hand on the butt of his bolt pistol before continuing.

"So who, pray tell, are you?"

*the queen breaks into laughter*

Well the answer is quite simple really...

*she then clicks her fingers a few times switching the great window to many bizarre locals as days turn to nights and nights into days*

I am high queen chrysalis for certain but I am not the one in that horrible affair...

*she then offers him and his freind a scone*

that is the problem isn't it I lose so much time stuck in situations that leave me unavaliable....

*she pours some tea*

That's when it hit me...I am pretty much a god....

*she causes the tea to float from the spout seemingly uneffected by gravity as it Flys into 2 cups beside her*

No really I have control over time, space, and other dimensions I may as well make up for time...

*the changeling looks at the watch she has attached to a sterling silver chain*

By the way what time was it when you left the bar?she inquires before returning to the lovely picnic she had prepared beforehand.

"Then, I accept." Deep Blue said.

The glow began to fade.

"Allow me to introduce The Four Peoples. Insectoids, by the way, would be the correct reference. By common consensus, they refer to themselves as Insects, but have also historically been known as The Four Peoples." Deep Blue said.

Pods began rearranging themselves.

One unsealed, revealing a large fly person. It was as if fly and human had become one. The creature was mostly giant fly, but with distinct humanoid aspects.

"The first and oldest are The Diptera, known also as The Fly People. They specialize in being annoying, and having no known value or purpose. They do however fill in the gaps in society quite nicely, helping out where needed. Also, there's one other primary purpose we'll get to, when the Fourth People are revealed.

This one is Ico, President of The Diptera. He answers only to The Queen of all Insectum." Deep Blue said.

Ico awoke from his stasis chamber.

"Pobo pobopobopobopobopobopobopobopobo!" Ico said excitedly, forgetting no one understands a proboscis.

He concentrated, and his throat rippled, his bright red eyes taking in the sight around him.

"Where are we, have we landed? Is Queen Alsse ok?" Ico managed to ask in an understandable tongue.

Deep Blue flowed through Ico. Ico bowed to Queen Chrysalis.

"As Deep Blue commands, so shall it be." Ico said simply.

"My apologies." Ico said formally, apologizing for leaving Queen Hemlock's side to direct the awakening Diptera through the gate.

"One question that I'll need answered later, what of our ship? It's destiny is to land, and die, that Diptera females may lay their eggs in its rotting carcass for our young to eat after they hatch." Ico asked.

As he asked that, two more cells awakened.

From one came a lovely woman that, similar to the fly people, resembled a fusion of Bee and Human. Her backside was enormous.

"Second oldest are the Apocrypha, or, Bee People. This is Queen Beatrice, next to her are her daughters, the princesses. Between the three of them, they birth all the worker drones of the Apocrypha. They are good solid workers, but where the Bee People really shine is organization and storage. Their Honeycomb structures are the most efficient in all of Nature, and to date, Science has yet to top it. In terms of Trade, give them time to grow their crops, and build their Hive, and you shall have access to the sweetest most delicious Honey you could ask for. They also engineered this living Hive Ship, in conjunction with special Jelly from High Queen Else." Deep Blue said, introducing the second people.

At that moment, a second woman covered in boney plates emerged from her cells.

"Triktic, Queen of The Formicidae, The Ant People. Again, her and her daughters birth all the drones of the people. Where the Ant People shine, is the sheer unmitigated power of their industrial might. Not even I know if they work to live, or live to work, but their happy, and do not desire any less, only seeking more when their schedules allow. You need something dug up, or excavated, call the Ant People. Need something built in a hurry, call the Ant People. If they know how to do it, they will work at it ceaselessly until it is done. And with their impressive strength, it will be done quickly." Deep Blue said, introducing the pair.

Both Queens curtseyed to Hemlock, as Deep Blue flowed through them, updating them on the situation.

The ship was bringing forth the last group, and after that, the sealed protected chamber would be unlocked.

"I left the tavern only five minutes ago."

Colberius X suspiciously takes the proffered scone and tea, but still eyes the queen warily.

"So they are peaceful?  Have you bothered to tell them that they have an option? That they can remain independent from the horde and just join Wintreath as an equal member?"

While speaking to the queen, the Inquisitor reaches out with his mind.  His psychic probe sweeps through the distant alien ship, in hopes of catching the attention of whatever sentience is in charge of the newcomers.  He brushed past the changelings, and then encountered a strong presence that was completely new to him. Satisfied that this...alien...would do, Colberius X turned his mental scan into a mental tap on the shoulder.

In turn, Colberius's mind was filled with a sensation of Blue, and it was clear the entity had, metaphorically speaking, turned to him. Deep Blue couldn't physically turn to him of course, that would require physical form, and of course, Deep Blue had none.

All the same, Colberius had Deep Blue's attention.

*the changeling frowns*

I Have offered them a choice and so far mine has offered stability and all they need to grow into something of use to us...they may join your group of nations but they are members species of the horde all the same, they are independent in their actions but their motives shall be declared by us changelings...they are there own but we offer a guiding light to a better purpose...We are space imperialists after all and do what we must because we can. the changeling smiles as she shows the rift of the new planet they will call home.

*she takes a sip before addressing his other question*

Yes minutes have passed since you have seen me in that state but have you ever thought how long since i have seen you...

*she hands him the borrowed knife acidly singed along its blade*

Trust me when i say some time has passed since i have seen you dear now lets be polite and sit down as we discuss the fate of the 4 people. the queen motions both of them to the picnic.

-----------------------------meanwhile on the ship----------------------------------------------------

It is good to see a 2 species with similar structures of leadership...

*she turns to ico before he leaves*

And don't worry about the ship we are at this moment clearing for a dimensional rift to appear in front of the ship allowing it to arrive at your new designated home world...

*the changeling then instructs the awakened bees and ants to follow through the small rift into the room with snacks and such*

The only reason we are moving you to the other ship is because after stasis for so long we imagine you do hunger, thirst, and are bored out of your minds we as your now partners wish to provide as you will help provide in the future for our ventures. she smiles to the races.

From the next cell came a spider woman, and in this instance, the body was primarily spider, but where the head should've been came the human torso. Her head was spider, and all eight eyes blinked open at once.

"The last people. The Aranea Spider Masters. Note the difference in terms, I did indeed say Masters, not people. While the Diptera are the oldest, The Aranea have the greatest capacity for intelligence, and so they were the first to awaken to Sentience. The Aranea unify the other three, and keep society cohesive. They are the Scientists, the Psions, the researchers, a small group may even possess Arcane Ability. Nothing happens in Insectum, without The Aranea being involved, without the Aranea overseeing and controlling it.

In trade, give them but a few days to regain their strength, and they will produce silk of the highest quality." Deep Blue said, flowing through the spider.

"Greetings, Queen Hemlock. I am Nightshade, The Spider Queen. President Ico, the other two Queens and I form the High Queen's ruling council, that we may insure her directives are carried out among our peoples efficiently and productively. Also it was mentioned earlier that the Diptera Fly People serve one other function in conjuncton with us. As you may have already guessed, like our smaller, wild cousins, Spiders eat flies. I personally plan on eating Ico as soon as his term is up." Queen Nightshade said.

Ico had returned, and was sucking up the Honey surrounding the sealed chamber. Queen Beatrice sliced it open, and Queen Triktic pulled on the resulting sides revealing a tangled mass of bladders and lungs. Nightshade concentrated on those, and they visibly shifted.

Deep Blue left Colberius, and all across the ship was seen visibly flowing into the final creature that was slowly awakening.

The High Queen had the traits of all four people, unified into a single entity. She had the Spider people's body, but it was covered in the hard chitin of the Ant People. The Chittin itself was yellow and dark brown like the Bee people, and a stinger rested just above her spinnerets. Her wings were a unique fusion of fly and Bee. Her face was mostly waspish, but she had eight eye sockets like a spider, and each socket was filled with hundreds of tiny eyes.

"I am High Queen Else, I am Insectum, unified, and Insectum is the reflection of my will. Should I perish without heir, all Insectum shall similarly die within thirty days, for Insectum does not exist without my will. Deep Blue sleeps within me, we are connected, he and I. As it was with my ancestors, so it is for me, and so it shall be for my descendants, connected and bonded to the one who saved us from The Gods. After I have recovered my strength, I shall gift The Horde Queens with some of my unique Honey Gold Silk, it is stronger than normal silk, and naturally Honey Gold in color." High Queen Else said, introducing herself.

*Hemlock laughs*

Don't even try...

*she realize that may have sounded like a insult*

My apologies queen Else but let me explain how changeling hierarchy works a bit...

*the changeling seems to put on a pair of glasses and projects a keynote explaining the process through her horn*

Everything below princess is considered minuscule in the common hive but several hives depending on primary skill may have power over another.

beyond that is princesses who are after a 10 year training regime sent into different sectors to lead troops and workers to work on leadership skills and perfect there other skills in the field.

Lower queens are those who survive for more than 10 years or achieve greatly at their tasks, in turn they are given a colonization force and are sent to some random world in the multiverse  to establish a successful hive of their own.

If they accomplish this task they are given the title of queen and are given tasks to be carried out by the higher ups.

The most successful queen to exist in the realm becomes a duchess and is given authority of all queens in the realm.

Then those duchesses to prove themselves to be exceptional are elevated to grand duchesses that are in control of all duchesses that operate in that sector.

And then the best of those pose a chance to become elder queens when the position opens up within a council of 20.

And then those 20 are advisors to the high queen which is a whole other level of confusion...

So in short the number of queens and command is extremely large only working so effectively through the hive mind. the changeling stops before getting back on topic.

*her men help the remaining awakened insects up and through the warp-gate*

Now i am certain you have heard the conditions of being a member race to the horde, and if so ask any questions for i really want to put this document away for once. hemlock complains a bit before getting a nice cup of mint tea to relax herself from a nearby guard.

"I have none. I'm sure you remember the traits of my people, how each excels, and what they can offer in trade or in service. Anything you need of the people, or are interested in learning about, feel free to ask. We do not use technology as other species do. We manipulate and control biology to get what we need." High Queen Else replied.

A keening wail came from the ship, as both of Else's antennae shot up and the insect swarms became visibly agitated.

"Just one question, how strong are your ships?" Else asked quietly.

Well that depends we are a scouting force...

*the changeling ships begin arm their wide arsenal of weapons scavenged from conquered races, those created by member races, and created by the hive themselves. They power up their shields and release all matter of mines, anti-material droids, and short range craft also varied ready to engage*

But usually that is enough to conquer a race, quell a rebellion, and then glass a planet 3x over. the queen remarks before she tells everyone to move through the rift connecting the 2 ships.

For the brief moment that Colberius has Deep Blue's attention, he projects as many images of Wintreath and feelings of friendship as he can.  He hopes he can offer them a chance to make a home in Wintreath without becoming just another piece of the horde. Suddenly, he feels the mind turn away from him, its focus elsewhere.

Colberius X sighs and refocuses on the queen. When she hands him his knife, his jaw drops a little.  The he gingerly takes his knife from the Queen.

"It seems that you are High Queen Chrysalis.  My apologies for doubting you, my friend, but I hope you can understand my skepticism."

He sits, and motions Halvard to do the same. They begin eating the food laid out for them, but the Inquisitor still isn't focused. At least, not on the food.  His mind is almost entirely focused on reconnecting with the entity he had reached before.

High Queen Else's voice fills his thoughts instead.

"Deep Blue slumbers, and this agreement suits us considerably well. Fear not, for we will not lose ourselves to the Horde. Now ready yourself for battle." Else warned.

Then physically to Hemlock....

"Prepare for battle, The Gods come!" Else said, panicking.

Space visibly began stretching, and all contained within it stretched along with it, appearing to morph into an infinite hallway, down which great rolls of thunder echoed. Space began retracting, but with something new approaching. A small scout ship, made of unknown materials, and carrying unknown armaments. It was brown, and clearly a very fast maneuverable ship.

An alien mind was practically salivating over the hive mind of The Changling Horde, Colberius could feel the very predatory nature of this mind, and it was feeling his mind too.

"Behold we are they who dwell beyond all Time and Space, know our name so that your children may be terrified of it, we are the Pandor, Masters over All Creation. You have five seconds to surrender the insectoids you have taken aboard your craft, or I will destroy you all for sheltering them. We made them, we own them. They are ours to destroy as we please. Malfunctioning toys do not need any further courtesy." Came a transmission from the ship, the voice dripping with the sort of arrogance that could only come from a species that truly thought itself superior in all ways to all other creatures without exception.

*High queen chrysalis blocks the hive mind from all but the queen of the insect people*

Now my dear Let's give you a demonstration of what us changelings are known for. the queens voice echos in her mind.

Colberius projected a thought of his own back to High Queen Else.  "As long as you are aware of the alternatives available to you. And I am always ready for battle. But why-?"

Suddenly, he felt another mind collide with his.  Feeling the malice and arrogance emanating from it, he heard its warning in his mind as clearly as if he were listening to the transmission. He realigned his mind to Else once more.

"How may I be of service? I have no spacecraft on hand, and my specialty is close combat, but my mind is at your disposal.  And the changelings are certainly competent fighters."

As an afterthought, he added, "Could you tell me anything about this enemy?  It would be easiest if you simply allowed me access to certain memories. Then it would be instantaneous, and I'd be able to see what you've seen."

*The battle has not yet begun but the half that has been sent to engage the enemy has shields at the maximum power as they ready themselves for the first attack*

"Then your fate is sealed." The scout said. At that, the alien mind began eating the changling Hive Mind, an action that could in theory cause multiple forms of insanity and other mental illness including Amnesia.

The ship itself opened fire with a single disruptor cannon, but this cannon shot distorted time and space around it, like a large rock disrupting the waters of a pond as it fell in, or someone using a tank to get through traffic easily. Visually it was yellow with blue swirls around it, and headed for the nearest ship.

The insectum ship grew what appeared to be a large tongue, balled the end of it up, and punched the Pandorian Scout Ship, only to be met with shields. Sacks on the sides of the tongue began filling with a thick acid.

*the changelings seem to panic as their hive mind is seemingly being consumed by this enemy and several ships are destroyed jettisoning civilian crafts toward the scout vessel*

O NOOOOOO THE HIVE MIND HAS FALLEN WE ARE DOOMED!!!! Hemlock overacts the next sequence before drifting into laughter as mad as the most evil of villains.

*The High queen on the ground takes a sip before sending a message at the scout craft*

Hello now you might be wondering how this message is getting to you right now you know with the hive mind being consumed and such, now i am not going to give you a answer but i will give you a message to tell your superiors...or not because when we are done with you you'd  better hope it is the insects who finish you off for us changelings react very diversely...For example this low queen Hemlocks hive has been known to have warriors whose usual way of dealing with hostiles is boarding their ships skinning them alive, rapping every single individual on board to death, eating their flesh, and sewing said skins into a nice blanket in that order...

*the Hemlock seemingly interrupts the message to the SPOOKY SCARY ENEMY*

And thats just when we are feeling kind AM I RIGHT MY TROOPS...

*shouts and hollers go through the message to the evil entity*

Now Before such pleasant festivities can occur I have seemed to have forgotten my message...I am trying to remember it was really insightful and deep you know something that just works...Ahhh Now I remember in the words of Friedrich Nietzsche "Whoever fights monsters blah blah blah. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss...the abyss will gaze back into you."...

*with that final word the changeling hive Grew to proportions beyond imagination and whose unity and strength dominated the will of the entity, For as it consumed it realized it was in the belly of the beast, In essence the changeling hive mind not only absorbed the enemy mind eater but also began to chops, fillet and displace the mental threat into thousands of pieces at once and the process continued over and over and over causing pain beyond imagination*

Now know this, The insects will be uplifted to fit their roles in MY HORDE, WE will change them to fit their roles in OUR INTERESTS, and anyone who steps in MY PLAN for greater PERFECTION WILL. BE. DAMMED. the high queen says as the following action below occurs Punctuating key words  in a voice that can only be described as the sound of legion.

*the time and space begin distorting around all changeling crafts as they seemingly exist and yet not exist floating between the plains of reality, Other holes tear causing massive singularities ripping the enemies ships shields to shreds like ribbon paper, Even stranger the ships that had been destroyed by the initial volley seem to reform as if time have rewinded in certain sectors of space and then continue to engage the enemy, and reality itself rips as all major attacks on all changeling vessels pass through portals before reemerging at key points turning the very firepower against their masters*

WE ARE RETRIBUTION, WE ARE EVOLUTION, WE ARE THE HORDE SO PRAY FOR YOUR ABSOLUTION!!! the voices unnumbered shout at the mind dweller across the stars and plains of existence bringing a chill to all who hear the blood curdling shouts.

*The queen begins to eat a nice on wintreath while speaking to colbe about the weather who is likely shocked with what just occurred*

and before you flee know that THIS is only a microscopic spec of our leviathan of power, so I personally want to say on behalf of the insects, wintreath, 10K , and the horde....

*the changeling translates the following message across the cosmos to all who can hear it*

DON"T. #@$^. WITH. US the high queens final comment rings as a shockwave of pure emotional energy spreads throughout the cosmos as the battle continues with the changelings winning seemingly unmatched in strength.

*the high queen then relaxes as she watches the pretty colors of the sky above and smiles*

"You will regret this." The alien managed, before it died, overwhelmed by the power of the changeling horde.

As the alien died, its ship de-atomized on the spot in response.

"Wow." High Queen Else managed, stunned at the changling's strength.

"Maybe they weren't gods after all." Ico pondered.

Then reality rippled around Chrysalis, at all points in her personal timeline.

Chysalis was surrounded by planets, a great many of them, all made of organs and tissue, and thus were in truth creatures so large they rivaled planets in size.

"We are the Pandorian Worlds, children of Pandor the Ancient. Be grateful then, we have learned from our father's error. If you want the insects so bad, then you may have them. Cross us again, and we will unmake you. One scout is one thing, the combined armies of Pandor are quite another. Pick your battles wisely, you have been warned." One Pandorian world boomed at her, a face appearing on its surface.

Then with a snap, she was back to normal, and it was as if a great impenetrable barrier had arisen between Pandor and The Changling Horde.

*High queen chrysalis appears in front of the group*

I see things have gone well with negotiations, but off of that topic I would advise you to travel to your home world while us changelings make are campaign against these pandorian worlds...

*she yells to a random scribe in the corner to get over here*

Now listen i will need you to command the fleet from 3874 to get ready for we are facing a problem similar to the brethren moons again....

Yes my laACKK. he is choked up high as the queen glares.

WHAT ARE MY RULES FOR INTERRUPTING MY COMMANDS!!! she yells as she moves for a dagger on a belt.

*she then looks to the nearby queen Else and moves her hand away from the dagger and proceeds to drop the scared servant to the ground*

I am feeling generous today so you will go...But make sure that my battle armor is ready...

*the changeling sends him off*

I Plan to kill me a planet. she mumbles before waiting to make arrangements with the queen.

Else's eyes glow blue as Deep Blue awakens within her.

"If you fight them, you will have to destroy even yourself after battle. The Pandor reproduce via their enemies. Their children incubate quickly, and use the properties of the host body to adapt into new forms as they consume the host body. Further, you will have to achieve the impossible, and find The Pandorian Worlds, they move very quickly. The outermost layer does not conform to known science, thus you will have to abandon everything you know, to achieve what you do not know how to do." Deep Blue said.

Deep Blue, turned golden white briefly then returned normal blue.

"Angels and Ministers of Grace preserve us, the beings who destroyed Pandor the Ancient, their here! If you want to take out a Pandorian World, or even several, their the ones you need to see. In a place you've never been before, is a land known as The Bureaucracy. Officially it's known as The Imperial Bureaucracy of Warhaven. There find the one known as Samuel Ares Miller. If you can prove your strength to him, he'll tell you all you need to know, to fight The Pandor." Deep Blue said.

"I'll go, I want to meet the ones who destroyed the High God-Emperor himself. Even we've heard of Pandor the Ancient's strength." Else said, curious to learn more.

"What of us?" Ico asked.

"You don't really need me to tell everyone what to do, you and the others already know what to do. Besides, I might be able to make trade contacts get resources flowing in." Else said.

While Marchosias was flipping through the pages in a tome, he was, without warning, possessed by the very divine being that he worshipped, Crystallis. Knowledge from the forgotten tomes began to pour into his mind as turquoise-colored fog swirled around his body. The transition from a follower to a host was clearly not a pleasant experience as he fell to the ground, pulling his hair in agony. The crippling pain was so unbearable that he tried to pierce his flesh with his fingernails, which of course only served to increase and prolong his suffering. A combination of sweat and blood stained his robe and at last, the pain subsided.

A voice in his head spoke, "Apologies for the pain I have inflicted upon you by entering your body, especially without consent. Marchosias, my faithful follower, I am Crystallis, God of Arcane Knowledge. I have observed your desperation in your search for an answer to the falling blue celestial object and have decided to intervene to provide you with an answer. Allow me to take control of your body."

At the snap of a finger, literally, Marchosias appeared before Colberius and the rest.

OOC: Fun fact: I never played the Dead Space series, yet managed to neatly come up with a similar concept entirely on my own.

IC:

"The Pandorian worlds are much larger, and a separate unique strain of Pandor. The Worlds are quite literally world sized, and boast tremendous power. Each one hosts Pandor upon their surface. The space they dwell in, is not normal." Deep Blue replied.

High Queen Else took over her body again.

"Of course you can come Colberius. The newcomer can come to Warhaven too, as I suspect this entre incident drew his attention." Else said.

Deep Blue meanwhile began opening a Dimensional Nexus to Warhaven.

"Have Identification ready. The Bureaucracy is strict when it comes to these sorts of things." Deep Blue warned.

.....

Meanwhile, The Four Peoples broke off eating, enthralled by something they'd never seen before. A door. Then, a changling opened it, and that totally amazed them. Once said changling walked through the open door, the four peoples minds were totally blown.

So it was, construction was delayed, as the Four People amused themselves with doors.

"And who might you be?"

While waiting for the man's response, Colberius, heeding Deep Blue's warning to have identification ready, slipped a hand in his pocket and wrapped his fingers around his rosette.

"I came with him." Halvard said defensively, pointing at Colberius.

Deep Blue flashed, and there on the bridge was a swirling dimensional gateway.

"You will find yourself in a place known as Skywatch, it is the central travel hub of The Bureaucracy. I'm not sure where Sam's at, but as he's the second born son of The Emperor, he's not hard to find. The most likely places are The Arena of Kessingale, and The Imperial Palace of Warhaven. Though he might be at his Aunt's house in Amazonia, or at home in a place called Sanctuary." Deep Blue cautioned.

"See you on the other side!" Else said, and darted through the nexus.

"Aww what the heck." Halvard said, and ran through.

As Marchosias took a brief look at the portal, his eyes sparkled with curiosity, albeit involuntarily. The presence of Crystallis had began to affect his perception of the world, morphing his personality to one of inquisitiveness. The joy of witnessing the existence of a nation excelling in an area of technology was instilled into him. This was evidenced by his delightful facial expression after observing the creation of a dimensional rift that resulted in a small tear in the fabric of reality. While the divine part of him was happily appreciating the beauty of the Dimensional Nexus, the mortal part of him had fortunately possessed the situational awareness necessary to understand that this was not the time or place to be doing that and to retake control of his physical body. Following tightly behind the man who was wielding a gun, Marchosias replied, "How rude of me not to introduce myself. I am Marchosias, Overseer of the Floating Isles of Sapphiron. It is a pleasure to meet you, and how should I address you?"

The blue Nexus seems to press in upon them, before a feeling of gentle descent takes over. The Light fades away to reveal the group in a great glass Space Elevator, descending from an orbital platform. From this height, they can see they're descending towards a city so massive it spans an entire continent, a large one at that. Vehicles are buzzing around in the sky, as are planes and assorted creatures.

Space itself is filled with beautiful crystal asteroids that put on a magnificent light display, among the heavily armed and armored warships, and an intimidating Star Fortress. A band of white light surrounds them.

It passes in seconds, and now their descending through the atmosphere. Birds of every color frolic with a creature that strongly resembles a Gryphon, except she's humanoid, and has a lovely band of lavender across her wings. Dragons of multiple varieties wing through the air around them further down, going in for their own landing. The Vehicles seen earlier, are all clearly kept in a complex series of transit tubes that control and regulate the flow of traffic, so as to minimize accidents.

As they get closer to a very large building on the ground, they can see the city covered in wall to wall art, utilizing statues, painted buildings, Water, and even gardens. The Building they descend into in particular however is pure utilitarian, dull grey and covered in assorted antennae and blinking lights. Distantly, a massive pillar of light can be seen in the few mountains still remaining in the continent sized city.

Else, so taken in and enamored of the sights, completely fails to notice the colossal network of minds, equal in power and strength to the Hive Mind of The Changling Horde, at the very least. Halvard meanwhile is simply stunned silent.

The Elevator slowed to a stop, and opened to a sight that made Else and Halvard both gasp in wonder and surprise.

A nine foot male Alicorn, bearing strong powerful muscles stands before them. His body is purest white, his mane and tail are as spun gold like his horn, his eyes, untapped pools of cerulean hosting the wisdom gained from having lived a very long time.

For Chrysalis, contrary to the history of her people, this Alicorn bears no hate, no malice, no ill will. Instead a strong aura of Peace seems to exude from the creature.

"Pardon, I seem to be in your way, my apologies. If this is your first time visiting Warhaven, you'll need to visit the registration desk. All things run on The Network, ID checks are automatic you see. So we input your ID into the system, along with other information, and then you don't have to worry about it later. Trust me it'll save a lot of hassle, and a hefty fine, if you simply go there first." The Alicorn said, then trotted off to another spot, where he seemed to be waiting for someone.

The Lord Inquisitor took several steps towards the Alicorn and lowered his voice. "Please excuse my companion.  She means well.  Could you direct us to the registration desk, please?"

"Across the room. I know, you can't see it for all the people, but it's there." The Alicorn said.

Then he looked at Chrysalis briefly.

"I wonder if she realizes I was born long before those silly marks came into being." He pondered quietly.

The building meanwhile was chock full of people going every which way. Humanoids, Elvenoids, Dwarvenoids, Giants, other species, some exotic and strange. For a brief second, a registration desk set into the wall with an aquatic creature sitting on it could be seen. The creature was wearing a suit filled with water.

*the queen looks back at him menacingly*

Not from my realm you are not...

*his mind flashes with images of horrifying tortures afflicted on the alicorns*

Or any of the hundreds of thousands of realms I have conquered...

*the images stop leaving the alicorn in a daze*

I have enslaved races for less than a insult to those i took under my wing when there gods grew to powerful, Pray you don't think about making a quip or even a thought insulting us...

*as he tries to get to his feet the images flood his brain of his homeland enslaved and every alicorns flank branded with marks searing the flesh*

Or you will wish  you were born with those stupid marks. the queens voice leaves his head as she turns away.

*the queen then patiently waits for everyone to be finished with getting registered.*

Marchosias was momentarily blinded by the brilliant light but he regained his vision after rubbing and allowing his eyes to rest for a while. When he headed towards the registration desk, he stretched out his hand and opened his palm as his identity card materialized. After which he passed it over to the receptionist, patiently waiting to be registered.

Starfire, contrary to perception, was not dazed, and unaffected by the imagery. He'd seen plenty like it before, and had endured attacks that bore a similar nature to the torrential psychic feed, enough so that he was no longer dazed by such things.

"Good thing that's not his brother, Hellfire. You'd be dead by now." The creature at the registration desk said, using telepathy to be heard clearly outside his suit. The simple matter of fact way he said it made it clear he was so certain of this, that only seeing Chrysalis emerge victorious from a fight to the death against the aforementioned Hellfire could possibly change his mind, and even then it'd be a hard sell to get the creature to recognize what had happened.

Strong Psychic defenses were raised in this creature's mind, after having witnessed what a passing comment caused her to do.

Having processed everyone in, Else braved the question.

"Where might we find Samuel Ares Miller?" she asked.

Silence filled the room, and everyone stared at them.

"Not popular is he?" Halvard asked, amused.

"One does not simply stroll into The Bureaucracy and demand to see a Prince of The Imperial House. The Second Son of The Emperor is at the Kessingale Arena, but unless you have an appointment, or do something impressive, I sincerely doubt he'll make time to see you." The creature said.

"I'll make him take time to see me, even if I have to beat it into him." Else declared, causing the room to burst into laughter.

"Take transit tube 32 from the Lobby." The creature said, clutching the desk for support, amused.

A guard at the door stopped them.

"If you have any Arcane or Psionic Power, you are ordered by law to restrain it to half of what you normally use, and carry. This is due to the Hyper-dense energy field of The Bureaucracy. You may have noticed coming in, there are no power production facilities anywhere. Not on the planet, not in the solar system. The Zohar Reactor's location is known only to one man, not even The Emperor knows Zohar's location. Yet Zohar is so powerful, it powers all of Warhaven, an causes the Hyper-dense energy field I mentioned. As a result, all powers exhibit higher than normal levels, thus the law." The guard explained.

Else lead the way through, and staggered as the energy field flowed into, through, and around her once she entered it.

Transit Tube 32, which was clearly marked, sucked Else up and shot her through the city to a massive round structure visible from space. The Kessingale Arena...

I understand the idea of limiting my power level...

*steps through the field unfazed and nearly gets in the tube before stoping and informing the guard*

But know this if this is a ruse or if the emperor dose not agree to help us on our quest the gloves are off...

*she steps into the tube*

and when that happens pray you are the last one. she finishes her sentence before being sucked up and taken with the queen.

The tube took them into the arena 15 minutes later, and dropped them off in a lobby. Normally it was filled with a number of lines for contestants registering for various arenas, challenges, and other events. At the moment, it was jam-packed with contenders trying for one event.

Else pondered what it was, Halvard pointed it out. On a monitor was Else's declaration of forcing Sam to take time to see her.

"Word travels fast." Else said.

"Yes, this declaration, delivered moments ago at Skywatch by unknown foreign visitors and shared by The Aquamarinian Hive Mind has brought this response from Prince Sam." A TV reporter was saying.

The screens switched to a black cloud with scary red glowing eyes. Worse yet, it was chuckling.

"One insectoid, one Royal Changling, and a few misfits, think their going to force me? DO THEY NOT KNOW WHAT I AM? No, don't tell them. I will tell them this though. I know why you're here. Prove to me you are worthy of these secrets. Show me you are strong of Mind, Body, and Spirit, and I will reveal all." Sam said.

The screen pulled back to reveal it had been focused on a dark section of the Arena seating.

"Come my champions and contenders, fill this Arena to its limit that our guests may be properly, challenged." Sam called, his voice echoing around them all.

The screens switched back to the reporter.

"Rumors are circulating that The Emperor himself may take part in these events, but there has not been any confirmation from The Palace thus far. Stay tuned to Arena TV for all the exciting details." The reporter urged. Then it all switched to a car commercial.

"Ahem, we're the challengers where do we sign up?" Else declared confidently.

"I'm actually not a fighter, more of a scholar really. Could I maybe just sit it all out and watch?" Halvard asked, nervous.

The crowd parted like a sea before the group. Eager grins following Else all the way to the desk.

"All battles are to the death, no exceptions, no matter what. Resurrection is free as always, but if there is a particular spiritual component to your resurrection, you must inform medical prior to engagement, or be able to attend to it yourself." The clerk said, remaining neutral.

Ok you guys this is the plan i have thought of....

*a random man bumps into her in the main hall, in this quick period of time the man gives her a layout of the arena*

My agents have given me a layout of the facility, and left some supplies at key points to allow me to infiltrate the royal box for the game, i will be disguised a a servant who went to the restroom, during which time i will slip a cocktail of suggestive drugs and amnesia inducing chemicals which will weaken him to my seductive and hypnotic ways allowing us to pretty much give us all we need...

*she points to the coliseum on the layout*

All i need you guys to do is provide a good distraction to keep his attention occupied while i perform the operation. the changeling says as she sustains a muffle spell around the group.

The Colleseum attendant grinned at Chrysalis.

"Poisoning Prince Sam are we? Fastest route, up the stairs to your right, no distractions needed. In the Arena, it is perfectly legal to, at any time, attempt to poison or perform any other action against any member of The Imperial Family, at any location within Arena walls, per Bureaucratic Law, NOT Imperial Law. Basically, it means you can try whatever you like without fear of legal reprisal, just very direct, very personal reprisal.

Of course, you'd better have a solid Duranium goblet for prince Sam, anything less will simply shatter or crush in his grip, OH! and you're going to need wings, he actually sits on the ledge outside the box, it's not really dark up there, it's just Prince Sam, blacker than night he is.

Meanwhile, we'll have, Else is it? yes, we'll have her go first, prep time is 20 minutes in a specialized room, that'll allow her to get all she can bring to bear ready.

Before I forget, don't actually go in the Royal Box." The attendant said.

Doors slid open, one for Chrysalis to go attempt to poison Sam, the other for Else. Halvard meanwhile got a seat in the stands to sit and watch.

After hearing about the inevitable situation he would be placed in soon, Marchosias sighed as he gave permission for Crystallis to take control of his physical body.

Crystallis spoke with much enthusiasm, "At last, fresh air. You know, ever since my arrival here, I started to regret not researching more about this nation. Just imagine how interesting it would be to live here. Thanks to their culture of forcing visitors to engage in gladiator-style fights, their residents actually get live entertainment! That's what I call priceless. It's so much better than watching humans kill each other and seeing their mutilated corpses litter the bloodstained battlefield. I mean, Gaia doesn’t enjoy having her skin coated with a layer of paint so stop doing it. When mortals stop committing such foolish actions, I get to see more of her smiles … wait a second, why am I telling you this?  Anyhow, their amphitheatre seems to be made of state-of-the-art materials. It certainly does justice to the entertainment provided.”

“Colosseum attendant, please inform me when it’s my turn to enter the arena. I just can’t wait!”

After his final remark, he yawned and landed his body on the glowing makeshift sofa he had created just a moment ago, slipping into unconsciousness.

*chrysalis looks at the attendant with a awkward expression*

Ok then i can handle both of those ummm....

*looks for the name tag on the attendants clothes before giving up and going back to the group*

Now listen he is likely to expect a changeling to be present on the battlefield, so i will need a volunteer to pose as me...

*she pulls out a syringe of ominous neon green liquid*

This mutagen has my changeling DNA as a catalyst so it should allow you to assume my form and some of my abilities...

*she looks at the group*

So who wants to be queen of the changeling horde for a day? she asks the group only to bust out laughing  remembering everyone here is a dude...besides the queen who he expects.

Colberius X glanced at those assembled around him and sighed. "I'd be much more comfortable entering the arena in my own form, but... I'll do it...if no one else wants to volunteer."

Then he shook his head and sighed once more. "Actually, I'm probably the best choice, given how you can just allow me to access memories in order to gain familiarity with your form."

Under his breath, he grumbled, "Why does this always happen to me?"

An ancient and withered old man leaned over to Crystallis.

"I'm afraid you've got the wrong impression old boy. You aren't actually registered to fight, it's only Else and Chrysallis he expects, and then, only because Else openly challenged him in public, and Chrysalis has displayed high aggression over little things. You for example are quite free to leave and explore the rest of the nation, such as investigating their various schools of magic, their institutions of higher learning, all sorts of possibilities. After all, that Halvard fellow took a seat to simply watch." The old man said.

Else meanwhile retreated to her preparation room, and could audibly be heard buzzing in surprise and excitement.

Meanwhile, out in the arena, a knight and a boxer were fighting each other.

Ok colbe now listen there is somethings I should tell you about this procedure before I give you the injection...

*she puts on some glasses as she preps the injection point and reads the medical data*

Now it will cause you to be pretty much identical to me in every way besides you will have your free will and personality and your powers will be 1/5th of what i can do...at least to some degree, now the good things being you will be able to change your form to suit the situation, your endurance and regeneration are practically unlimited,  and mental capacity going through the roof allowing your mind powers to amplify....

*she then prepares to read the negatives*

However you will be fully connected as the nexus of the hive mind which will drive you insane if you focus on it to much so try to push back the voices with any mental strength not in use, your bloodlust will also go through the roof so make sure you warn Else before the battle to stay away from you...I swear if you kill her I will enslave your realm like i did to the other Warhammer sub-universes...and finally You will need to feed as a changeling on emotion to sustain yourself or you will get weaker as the fight progresses, in which case i would recommend you feed on the ambient emotions of the arena but i must warn you will feel the full effect of it...

*she then before he could possibly protest warps besides him and jabs the needle into his neck as the fluid is introduced to his body*

Now it should only last 24hrs, go out there, have fun, and play your role so i can play mine. she pushes him into the preparation room before the transformation hits him.

Muttering several expletives in regards to the changeling Queen, horde, and species in general, the Lord Inquisitor straightened himself in the preparation room.  And then promptly doubled over as the transformation began.  He maintained his composure long enough to pull off his coat, belt, shoulder rig, and hat, and then fell to his knees.

After several minutes, the Lord Inquisitor was nowhere to be found. There was, however, a new changeling Queen.

At that point, beams of energy passively scanned him, then they turned off. Else however was being hit by them still.

"It's like I've had a full year of preparation for this." Else said, her voice audibly changed. It was now fuller, more powerful, far more naturally commanding than before, and her body had filled out rather nicely as far as insectoids went. She seemed strong, muscular, and ready for anything.

The beams took Else away, but Colberius was allowed to watch.

"Else, High Queen of Insectum, Versus, a Hellifino." came the announcement. On screen was Else coming out of a set of doors. She walked to the far end of the arena, and turned around to see a Rhino that looked made of molten magma come charging at her. Its horns were twice as large, and twice as deadly as a traditional rhino. Hellifinos were infact close cousins of the East African Black Rhinoceros.

Else took to the air to dodge, and to her surprise the Hellifino stomped on the ground, sending a wave of fire shooting up at her.

Sam was in his spot watching the proceedings.

For Chrysalis, the difficulty wasn't in getting to Sam, it was the fact that servants served the ENTIRE Imperial Family. Each had their own distinctive ways with the servants, each had to be followed, and each order had to be correct. Further, some family members overrode others.

Chrysalis's first hurdle was Lady Cara Lightbringer, Matriarch of The Imperial Family, former Empress. One word from her, and her entire mission was doomed to failure to the point armed guards would actively prevent anyone from gaining access to the family.

Beside her was the biggest challenge of them all, Cara's husband, Tajen Darkson, Patriarch of the family, and former Emperor. Tajen and Cara both had simply retired from ruling, being immortal and boasting no further interest in ruling. Cara was usually sweet and nice, to the point not even malevolent gods could bear to harm her.

Tajen meanwhile was the polar opposite. By himself, he was one to avoid, stories of his rage still circulated among the populace. Only Cara could tame him, keep him calm.

"You, new girl. I have been waiting ten minutes for tea." Tajen said, stopping Chrysalis.

He leaned forward.

"Where is it? Or should I simply fire the staff?" he asked, his breath literally tearing at her soul. It wasn't imaginary, it wasn't figurative, his very breath was directly tearing at her soul, in the exact same manner most Black Holes tended to draw in everything around them. Physically however, he was fine.

The entire family turned and stared at Chrysalis, as did the guards.

"Who are you again?" A man with a glowing red outline asked, suspiciously.

"Hey son, when did you hire a French maid?" Cara asked The Emperor.

"I didn't, that's why I have a wife." A blond man said, his arm around a female humanoid gryphon.

"Mr. Howard, how many Castle Staff actively speak French?" a little humanoid Gryphon girl asked the giant purple aquatic creature sitting with them.

"None. Further, exactly three residents of The Bureaucracy speak French, and they live in a small hamlet on Ephseus. Visitors aren't counted, and non-residents can't get a job serving The Emperor." Howard said.

Sam stood up, reaching a full nine feet in height, and bore a muscular physique that could match Hercules. He was indeed blacker than the night. He was cracking his knuckles dangerously.

Crystallis's eyes fluttered open as he sat up, a frown of disappointment embedded in his face. Before his eyes was an old man, a peculiar-looking wrinkly ancient spoilsport with a body structure comparable to that of a dilapidated statue. He certainly seemed like an individual with a high risk of suffering from osteoporosis, having lost all his sense of adventure with the passing of time. There was something he must admit, however, which was that the old man’s eyes were overflowing with wisdom like that of a sagacious saint who had witnessed countless events throughout his life. The old man definitely appeared to possess all the necessary qualities to be an ideal intellectual companion.

Putting on a façade of politeness and friendliness, Crystallis enquired, “Would a venerable figure like yourself be watching the events taking place in the Colosseum? I had been debating with myself whether I should go ahead and explore the nation or observe the proceedings. "

Sapphiron/Crystallis: "Actually, I was checking that the energies were flowing properly, before going off on other things. Feel free to come along, you'll see a lot of the nation that way. My friends and I are the 12 oldest magic users in The Bureaucracy, and the 12 oldest scientists. My name is Dr. Xos Xilanthese." The old man said.

....

The Changling Horde:

Else had been constantly dodging the Hellifino, and when Chrysalis faked her own demise, that was the same moment Else pierced the beast through the heart with her stinger.

A seven foot white humanoid Gryphon woman kneels next to Chrysalis.

"Local Death, you can't fool me, Chrysalis." She said.

"Oho! Trying to do things your way are you? Good thing you failed, or you would've been pissed you'd missed out on exactly what you wanted to obtain. See, after three preliminary rounds, for warm-up purposes, your opponents are all going to contain exactly what you need to know to find, and defeat a Pandorian World. Any of them. They all have their unique qualities of course, but generally speaking, this will let you hunt and kill them. This means by the end of the day, not only will you know what you came to learn, but you'll have first hand experience with it, so you can better use it with your hordes to hunt down Pandorian Worlds." Sam explained.

I wanted to get to know you all better, to taste who you really are with my empathic feeding...

But what i found in everyone here both gives me hope in your realm and disgusts me, for I can see you are all not as you seem...

And by the way I am not the snake in the grass you should be worried about...

one of your deaths, I know this because the glass was laced with a synthetic toxin made to cause what appears to be a brain hemorrhaging within 6hrs allowing the individual to escape, the snake however I have no clue what breed but from the fangs it possesses I can guess a genetically modded viper of some kind....

*she stops at the door*

Now I am not here for conflict, nor am I here to save your lives gratis, but rather I want you to rethink your decision of sending me to fight for your entertainment as the noose gets tighter without your very knowledge...

*she then stops exhaling as she finishes*

A Chrysalis will fight in the arena, but if you know what is best for your health it will be my associate, in the meantime i will be here negotiating over how much support you will give my interests in their upcoming fight against pandoria....

*she then notices a glint on the other side of the arena before knocking the gryphon woman out of the way as a beam of plasma burns through the glass and into the dinner table*

And in turn I will save your royal !@#s as this continues. she says as she shuts the curtains as the glint disappears.

"Don't bother with the assassin, it's legal here in the arena, don't you remember?" Pondera asked.

Someone else fired a bigger, stronger phasor blast. Susan simply caught it and held the energy in her hands.

"We have our own suitable defenses, thank you very much." Susan grumbled.

"It is illegal for The Imperial Office to decide such matters as you are requesting, only The Central Bureaucracy can decide that at this time. Taking your arrogant egocentric attitude into account, you're wasting your time." Howard sniffed dismissively.

Second. Nothing can contain me nor block me...for within the countless versions of this realm created this very second one or more of you DID let your guards down and in that realm I did penetrate your thoughts and broadcasted them to all other versions of chrysalises throughout the multiverse...

*the tone causes the guards around her to be in some sort of mental pain*

Third. what is a emperor who can't command his forces into war without question...you claim to be all powerful yet let pawns decide the fate of your nation in what you could solve by your blade...

I hope you enjoy the blood sport, But know this another insult at me and I will paint the stands crimson with the blood of your innocents, your men will be given fates worse than death, I WILL BURN YOUR EMPIRE TO CINDERS AND ASH....

*Her voice shifts from one of escalating anger back to the cold tone*

and I will take away and mutilate everything you have love in front of you, no reprieve, no mercy, Their perverted image of of everything i will do to them will be burned into your minds as i sit back and enjoy my mid-day tea. the changelings hair blocks her eyes but the grin she has is just as insane as how she must had been coming off.

*before she leaves she clicks her fingers and if for one moment every single mental barrier ever constructed to protect the minds of every citizen of Warhaven collapses and hundreds of thousands of images of there very empire collapsing appear to them, the cries of their loved ones helpless to cruel fates echo in each and every citizens minds, and just to prove a point a rift opens above the arena showing the arena inverted with the changeling seal scorched into the earth as the ashen ruins ablaze*

Don't test me for I have already done it hundreds of thousands of times before to your empire...How did you think I got my ID if it wasn't from your groveling hands as you gave into MY demands to spare your wife and mother (who was already spared because she was the only truly kind person to offer Aid in most realms) Emperor...

*the arena seems to heat up as it seems to vent from the other side from the rifts, sounds of what can only be described as the dammed emanate from every signal one*

In fact I think you have a gift. the queen says as she walks out of the room madly laughing ready to kill for fun.

*all of the rifts seemingly close but one above the punch bowl in the corner, and out from said portal falls the decapitated head of Haverd face in anguish, eyes ripped out of their sockets, tongue removed, hair singed, and coated in runic marks carved into his very flesh...And the punch grew bloody as it mixed with the fluids that came from the former emperors skull*

Sad news guys My hypnotic abilities did not work on them, I swear If i just had not been so stressed out my efforts would have made them my #@$#@4s...

*she begins to revert colbe back to his normal state before spiting out some oddly colored gum she was chewing before hand*

I swear the guys in R&D said this gum would cause the air to be filled with a certain fungus spores bred to cause hallucinations for everyone within a room, I mean it worked but not towards breaking the wills of others...

*she looks back at else*

I mean it did prove a awesome trip for everyone in the room, I swear when i was leaving before anyone really noticed me all i heard were people talking about snakes in the salad and assassins which I have already handled  on my way there , I am pretty sure they hyped themselves up a bit, but i am glad i escaped by projecting a image of myself through the confusion to buy me some time (you know the Blah Blah burn blah blah Rape Blah blah ruin speech) I swear if i wanted that really i would have already done it (she proabbly did but once you do something over and over you grow tired of it and try to use it in a new way...like a CD you don't use anymore and instead make it into a nice platform for your drink)....

*she gets herself ready to fight as she speaks with else*

I swear This place is seeming more like Oz (fun to conquer but boring after a few times) I mean everyone here is hiding something from each other, I obviously could not take on a entire family of god's (plural you know because conquering the multiverse @$#@ a few people off) at least on my own especially while not trying to bring this world to ruin from me showing my full power level,  I also swear that heverd guy...i don't know i just feel some bad juju off of him.....

*the queen mumbles a bit*

And don't get me started on the royal family I swear they can be more rude than I am...Innocent french maid whose sister is sick and you don't show a hint of sympathy, I mean draw your blade but at least put in a tip or something...and I swear their arrogance is even worse than mine...or at least is not much of a improvement from mine...I swear something is going on in the royal family that is boiling the pot over but we will have to see what goes on in the future. she smiles as she awaits a response from her new soul sister practically.

(sorry i was trying to get a certain response to show it was all a illusion (Why else would some one be hyperventilating unless they ACTUALLY had a reason too, she was not tired by any case, nor was she stressed out,) I know bit of a unexpected move but just enough to grind your gears...well it was fun, time for the battle insectum...and I would beg for you to  write that the royal family had awoken minutes later from a hangover that would make me laugh my !@@ off)

OOC: Ok then. Perhaps next time, make it a little clearer? BTW, it didn't have to be battling in the arena. I'm a multiple avenues sort, it just went that way, partly out of a strong desire to see some of my own sorts matched up against Chrysals. The Damnedifino is a gag, as I was grasping at straws for opening rounds. "What's Chrysalis going to spar?" "Damned if I know." And humor took it from there.

....

In the ring, the Temperature had dropped to 50 below 0, Celsius. Some folks shivered, until the Temperature shields realigned, keeping the cold in the ring.

A snow white Rhino seemingly made of ice trotted around in the ring. It was a genuine Damnedifino.

...

Up in the royal box...

The Family seemed slightly dazed.

"Alright, who released Draconus's Breath into the box?" Tajen demanded. Draconus was a Dragon God, infact, he was The Dragon God of Magic, Guardian of The Deep Magic. Unfortunatly, touching him tended to provide very hallucinogenic experiences. For that reason alone, Draconus's breath was a controlled substance, to prevent abuse.

*before the queen could get a answer from Else she had been teleported into the arena and then began to glare down the ice rhino*

Hey I am not sure if you are sentient or not but can you understand what I am saying....

*she dose not draw a weapon but seemingly walks toward it not even trying to raise any defenses looking as vulnerable as ever*

(Sorry my friend I should probably explain how chrysalis operates before I go on along with a simple intro to changeling biology)

(although changelings are very different from each other they tend to have several principles that apply to them)

(-changelings can Adapt both physically and mentally to survive (however it might be noted some posses this more than others) )

(- changelings due to the former are difficult to kill, although the higher up the ladder in the hierarchy tend to posses near mythical skills to survive)

(-changelings tend to feed off the emotions of those nearest to them (it is not even telepathic rather it is a whole other spectrum of energy that changelings can sense and use to fuel themselves) although some changelings are able to survive through normal and abnormal consumption of material)

(- All changelings posses a odd blood, it varies between social class but commonly tends to be a very destructive fluid if spilled, all tend to be acidic, toxic, and very damaging to a degree (Ex. some can iritate flesh, others can melt through planets, some can leave water undrinakble, others leave a land barren for half-lifes) )

(-changelings all poses some access to the hive mind, but the more important thing is to remember is that changelings depending on class have varying ability to operate independently from it and others tend to not even be phased by a attack on the hive mind itself)

(- Changelings tend to be more and more powerful with wider ranges of abilities the higher rank they are)

(I want to say chyrsalis Has the power to do practically anything with the total sum of her ability if backed up by her swarm...However she rather likes not to use her power as much as she like...Not because of any moral or ethical reasons or anything but rather she has already probably done it in another slightly different version of that realm...So rather it is not the reason why she can't do it but rather it would bore her to death if she did go through with it.)

(that is honestly why the horde tends to sponsor species now because they have already destroyed them thousands of times over...So instead they do it for entertainment and for study into seeing if that particular race can strengthen the horde as a whole)

(chyrsalis was one of 51 sisters (she was the ##@$@ of the bunch) being the odd number off she was hated by a majority of her family, so much in fact that she was exiled at a young age into the wilderness left to fend for herself)

(unlike all the other children she was more clever than most, but disagreed with her families and many of the old regime)

(However she was a natural at manipulation and shapeshifting and using it she was able to kill one of her sisters and claim her hive for herself...without them even knowing until after she had consolidated her rule)

(however she was set up by the others for ruin after she was given a assignment which they purposely sabotaged with the dispatching of several commanding officials leaving the horde unorganized for the invasion of canterlot)

(with her hive left splintered she left with a small force into the sandy wastes in despair, But what she found there would change everything)

(Not only did she find the ruins of her once proud people thousands of years ago but also she found a machine which practically made her god, bending reality to her will, and with it she overthrew her mother and became high queen of the horde)

(She would lead into a new era of expansion but her constant victory made her bored so she seemed to loosen up her sadistic tendencies over the years going from slaughtering every soul in the realm, to enslaving all survivors, to then offering worthy races to be sponsored by the horde and inducting them officially into the empire.)

(she now tends to be more involved with other groups trying to find some fun while she has the time)

(So in retrospect Few can match chrysalises power...yet She simply is tired of destroying everything, I mean she still takes pleasure in fighting but tends to limit herself...hell even DIE to see what would be the results of her actions)

(so in essence she views the multiverse not as infinite conquest but rather her playground/test tube)

OOC: Now, I'm assuming you only use a singular multi-verse. I use Creation, a Multi-verse of Multi-verses. Warhaven, over the course of many years of RP, has connections to three, and destroyed a fourth. One opponent, won't be from THIS Multi-verse. Each Multi-verse carries with it, it's own special uniqueness. To a certain degree, that carries over in cross-Multi-versal interaction. As for this first one, a magic ice rhino, regardless of name, isn't that hard. I didn't design it to be tough. Heck, if she went fire breathing dragon on it, it'd be over in a snap.

IC:

The Ice Rhino wasn't sentient, just ice based. It sneezed a sharp pointy blade of ice at her, sharp enough to kill most normal creatures. Even dragons would get lightly wounded, such was its sharpness. Right behind it, the Ice Rhino came charging.

(OOC: Ok now it is getting confusing so multi-mutiverses? I mean i am no quantum physicist but I think it goes a bit far there....I mean Warhaven could easily be explained as a multiversal faction...for the multiverse is pretty huge i mean you take the universe that is unimaginably vast and then say that is but a grain of sand in a desert....I mean it could work even if the horde is friggin huge because multiverses pretty much are defined by choice and even the interaction from another universe creates more multiverses....So in theory the multiverse alone is practically big enough to support a unimaginable amount of realms  just saying it is a multiversal empire as well would work just fine for in comparison the total sum of universes using the desert example would probably equal a sandbox worth of sand... I mean saying multiverses of multiverse is just a bit to far...Not that i am complaining it is just unneeded you can easily claim hey this empire spans about as many as the horde or possibly bigger (I would not go that far however...mainly due to scale of scope I mean in all honesty the only reason queen chrysalis is able to sustain a empire that large is that somewhere she has versions of that particular realms chrysalis in a comatose state and using them to process info from their realm...So the larger the empire gets the more strain it would have on its leaders and government.) So in essence possibly the maximum of universes and realms within the multiverse would equal in comparison not really that much to the grand whole...Which in essence would be impossible to Achieve )

(Sorry for my 2-cents but it $@$$ just thinking about how big the multiverse is so difficult, i mean our universe seems practically infinite so a infinite number of infinites  just @$@ hurts me a bit. Adding more infinites to the equation is a bit much)

*the blade goes right through her abdomen and then she takes the force of the elephant impaleing her on its horn head-on yet she is unfazed*

Ok so you are just a beast...time to teach a pet some manners. the queen says unaffected by the gaping wound in her stomach.

*she then seems to pull herself off the horn of the beast as it thrashes and then her body regenerates, it changes and armors itself in thick plates of chitin, tendrils form on her wrists which she then clasps in her hands and then grow to be extremely long*

Hey Hevald....hevard...uhhh guy who is the emperors father...you may want to send some more men into the arena. she makes out as she proceeds to coil and wrap her tendrils around the mighty beast.

*the tendrils are covered in thick Crystal preventing snapping, but seemed moveable like whips and rope. the bottoms where coated in what appeared to be prong like suckers that dig into the beasts hide allowing the queen to keep her grasp and stay on the bucking beast, Unknown to the audience small needle like structures on the tendrils worked incredibly fast to pump chemicals to sedate and attempt to bring the beast under her control*

You know Emperor can i keep him/her i have no clue, but i swear i will take care of it. she mockingly whimpers as she tries to break the mount who at this point seem to do fairly well in said task keeping on the beasts back and holding on to it with great skill.

(OOC: Don't worry about Multi-versal theory. In essence, All possibilities are true, even the ones we can't think of.)

"It's Tajen, not Hevard. As for keeping that beast as a pet, let me check." Tajen replied, magic making him heard.

Seconds pass.

"You're in luck, you can keep it. Ice Rhinos are Herbivores, preferring short grains. They also need frigid cold environments." Tajen replied.

"Winner by Friendship, Queen Chrysalis!"

Chrysalis and the Ice Rhino were transported out.

In recovery, a strange old man was waiting for her. He was well muscled, and well armored. Beside him was Starfire, the same Alicorn from Earlier.

"Sir Rahegalhoff, The Paladin. One of the 12 Ancient Masters of Warhaven. I'd heard a genuine changling had come to the nation, and I just couldn't resist coming to meet you in person. I've always admired Changlings, and sometimes wished I had the same ability. My opposite, the other Sir Rahegalhoff and his steed, Hellfire wanted to meet you as well, but I'm afraid they've got a different sort of meeting in mind." The old man warned.

It is a pleasure to meet you...

*looks at the probably angry  alicorns than back at the old man*

Uhh at least some of you, you also know you could convert into a changeling of decent rank if you wished. I mean We have developed ways to well "change" individuals DNA to match that of changelings, however It tends to getting used to...well losing a small part of your free will but the rest is practically sunshine and rainbows, That is unless you are working as a guard to any queen....

*the changeling cringes at the thought even displeased by the things she has been known to do on occasion*

If you have any questions just ask no....

*she looks at the alicorns who in her guesses is growing impatient*

You know what let me see what these scrubs want before that...I hate being interrupted. the changeling then waits for the alicorns to say their piece.

"Oh, no thank you. I am devoted to the highest of all powers, the original source of Creation itself. Known of course by many names in many places, bearing many different forms, sometimes none at all. That gives me all the power I've ever really needed." Rahegalhoff said, politely turning her down.

"Good luck. There's only two of us, no dimensional alternates, or differing possibilities. Exactly two of us, and not one number more. We only exist in this possibility, and as this is your first time visiting this iteration, then you've not yet met our opposites. Just be warned, there are stories of Demons, whether they come from Hell, or The Warp, or other places. They all give this man a wide berth. It will take all you've got as a lone entity to defeat them." Starfire warned, not in the slightest bit angry. He did after all practice what he preached, which was forgive and forget. He'd already done exactly that between when they parted ways and now.

Else meanwhile, was fighting a professional exterminator, and he was fully armed with all his pest extermination tools.

"Perhaps that Ice Rhino messed with your vision, there is only Starfire and I, not two horses. I am very clearly not an Equine of any sort. I think a sip from the Wellspring of Rejuvination might help you out." Rahegalhoff said, gesturing to a large fountain nearby, full of clean, pure, magical waters known to aid in healing and recovery.

"Also, it's not us you're fighting next, but the alternate versions of us. Look in the stands after they appear, you'll understand." Starfire promised.

"KALIA!" Rahegalhoff called.

An elderly woman, revered for her healing prowess teleported in.

While it was true the pair didn't know what was wrong with her, Kalia was among the 12 ancients of Warhaven. In particular, she was the Ancient Master of Spirit, which was better known by its sub-domains of Healing and Necromancy. Kalia had studied both since the Ancient Times, and even studied non-magical medicines.

Kalia used a spell she devised known as scan on Chrysalis.

"Hmm. Lessee here, Changling, Acidic blood, and a DNA splitting toxin. She wasn't supposed to fight The Shapeshifter until later. Yes, the young loudmouth with the claws she obtained from The Priests of Nurgle. Damned deadly things those claws. Well, let's get started then." Kalia said, and promptly began using her knowledge of the healing arts to carefully remove the toxin and repair Chrysalis's DNA.

Crystallis chuckled, “With all due respect, Dr. Xos, my method of classification has never been captivating, even for individuals with an obsessive desire to research on the different forms of magic. I am to be blamed for such an occurrence, for despite the fact that I have been worshipped as a deity of knowledge, I simplistically classify magic into two categories, namely Known Magic and Arcane Magic. The former comprises of all the types of magic that have been acknowledged and made known to the general public while the latter comprises of magic that only a rare few are aware of as well as undiscovered magic. However, for the sake of maintaining an interesting conversation, I shall give a brief sharing as to how the residents of the Floating Isles of Sapphiron group the different domains of magic.”

A leather-bound, antique-looking book appeared on his hand as Crystallis flipped to the facing pages. The rising column of dust accumulated throughout the years took advantage of its few seconds of freedom to cause a sneeze, a cough and a generally displeased immortal. “I knew I should have brought my respirator along,” Crystallis muttered under his breath before returning to the discussion, “Anyhow, I will now describe the social hierarchical structure.”

Celestials – This is an honorary category for the three major deities responsible for the existence of the nation, namely Genesis the Creator, Exodus the Destroyer and Enlightenment the Tutor. They are basically the ones at the very top.

Ethereals – This is the category for the rest of the deities who managed to stay popular or relevant enough to have enough worshippers. They are only answerable to the Celestials and have complete control over one specific aspect.

Transcendents – This is the category for mortals who have ascended to godhood. Accomplished scholars have attempted to explain such a phenomenon by claiming that it is through the discovery of a new domain of magic but there has been insufficient substantiation to prove their claim.

Primordials – This is the category for mortals who are believed to have “mastered” a particular type of magic. Individuals belonging to this category are at the top of the social pyramid, being highly respected and wielding an immense amount of influence. Their words are often taken as the truth.

Casters – This is the category for the rest of the mortals who have the potential or the ability to use magic.

Peasants – This is the category for mortals who lack the potential or the ability to use magic.”

Scratching his head, Crystallis said, “Wait a second, you asked for the categorization of different forms of magic. My apologies, I have just thrown out facts that you most probably couldn't care less. Allow me to proceed to answer your question.”

Embodimentalism – Individuals specialized in this domain of magic are referred to as Embodiments, being actual physical manifestations of a particular power or concept. Most of them are also Primordials.

Summonerism – Individuals specialized in this domain of magic are referred to as Summoners, with expertises varying from summoning celestial and demonic beings, invoking spirits and conjuring creatures from the abyss.

Elementalism – Individuals specialized in this domain of magic are referred to as Elementalists, with control over the classical five elements, namely Fire, Water, Nature, Earth and Metal.

Physicalism – Individuals specialized in this domain of magic are referred to as Physicalites, with the focus on physical enhancements such as Strength, Agility, Stamina, Endurance and Perception.

Intellectualism – Individuals specialized in this domain of magic are referred to as Intellects, with the focus on mental abilities such as Illusion, Memory, Emotion, Dream and Telepathy.”

TCH:

"A toxin was splitting your DNA. I removed it and healed you." Kalia said, helping Chrysalis to her feet.

......

Sapphiron:

"That is quite a difference. Here, Intellectualisim is categorized as Psionic power, divided between Telepathy, and Telekinesis, all powers therefore being a form of one or the other, if not a Hybrid of the two. Except for illusions, Magic users share that much.

As for magic users, we have four levels:

Mages are the weakest, usually their untrained, barely trained, or possess low levels of magic.

Witches and Warlocks are stronger, usually filled with students. Otherwise this category is the most common for magic users. They have some far ability, but usually don't do anything major.

Sorcerers and Sorceresses are next. Their usually very strong, and very talented. It's not uncommon to find them in charge of something.

Wizards and Wizardesses are the strongest of all, but very rare. They tend to have very high ranking positions, either in government or with major corporations.

The Appelation of Arch, or Master can be applied to any level, and signifies a person with extraordinary experience and skill.

Above the Wizards come the gods.

First there's the Demi-Gods. Half-Mortal, half-Divine. They tend to be notable for one thing, and that's it.

Lesser Gods are stronger, and tend to govern one or two domains they watch over carefully.

Elder Gods  are strongest, and govern either very powerful domains, entire species, or wide areas of Creation.

Then there are The Eternal Powers. Omnisource, The Eternal Creator, Kajeenith, The Eternal Destroyer.

My friends and I have existed in spirit for as long as they have, tasked with researching everything, and teaching those who need to be taught. There seems to be a bit of correlation between your celestials and us.

But while I am eternal in spirit, I cannot match The Eternal Powers in strength.

Then there are the 12 Dominions of magic, ahh, but first a quick check of Palace Energies." Xos said.

With that, he stopped and concentrated. They'd been walking through gates and archways, having never once stepped foot outside, yet had traveled across half of Kessingale in a short amount of time. Clearly magic had been at play somehow.

OOC: I'm assuming it's open direction on whodunit, so taking from things you've said earlier, I present, the following solution.

IC:

"Well, as for a good drink, have a pint of Dwarven Ale. It'll knock you flat on your ass and blast your sense of taste straight into oblivion for a few hours.

To the Toxin, it's chemical structure is unique to The Bureaucracy. To find out who did it, we'll turn to the Massive Omniscient Mega-computer." Kalia said.

She turned to the panel displaying the match on the wall, Else and the Exterminator seemed dead even.

"M.O.M. Who poisoned Chrysalis?" Kalia asked sweetly.

A computer generated face of a motherly woman appeared.

"No one my dear, I've been watching. M.O.M. watches over all who enter The Bureaucracy. No one's had the chance, the motive, or the ready access to appropriate chemicals during the times Chrysalis has been in the locations she's been in. I'm sorry." M.O.M. apologized.

"It's ok M.O.M. we love you goodbye." Kalia said, and the woman disappeared, bringing the match back.

She paced and thought.

"AHA! Assuming you have the power to cross dimensions, you and your hordes must have conquered an Alternate Warhaven. That means I know EXACTLY who poisoned you. Nightstalker. The greatest of all Ninja. No one knows who Nightstalke is, except Nightstalker. Nightstalker must've poisoned you after your conquest, incase you ever encountered another Warhaven, and here you are. You entered, the toxin activated, and you started dying. Clever plan to save what to Nightstalker would've been another Warhaven." Kalia revealed.

Rahegalhoff meanwhile advanced upon Pengu.

"Show me your Censorship License, as granted by The Department of Communications, and stamped by The Department of Hypernet Affairs, signed off on by M.O.M. Otherwise, stop it. You may not censor others without a properly obtained license, not even for fun. Especially not for fun. As clearly stated by Bureaucratic Law, Fun is especially prohibited and against the Law in all its forms. Even children require a license to have fun." Rahegalhoff growled.

He appeared serious, but that's because he was, Rahegalhoff did not possess a sense of humor.

Tell me will I have the pleasure of peeling his skin from his shaking form and sew a nice blanket as i drink his blood and use his skull to beat him to death.her voice is just eerily sounding like she is describing a work of art

*a random citizen barges in*

sorry miss but how is that even possible? he asks inquisitively.

*she turns to him with the most serious stare*

That's what the last guy said as I beat him to death with his own skull...

*she then opens a rift showing the queen griping a bloodied skull as she beats a man to death with it*

HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE!? the man screams as his buddy is pumping tons of ammo into chrysalis with no effect.

*the queen then shuts the rift and the random citizen walks away disturbed by what he saw*

Starfire I want your approval to act so brutal on your clone that the images of what I do have to be censored to the point another clip of whats going on has to be present to cover up how terrible in what had occurred. the changelings tranquil rage is a bit unsettling but it is valid considering how painful that prior experience was.

"If you can find that Nightstalker, by all means, do as you will. Our version of Nighstalker is innocent." Kalia said.

Starfire chuckled.

"You've just made Hellfire's day. To him, Pain is another name for Pleasure." Starfire said, grinning.

"Chrysalis, one thing you absolutely HAVE to understand before going in. My alternate bears a legendary blade. It is blood red in color, and has the ghostly image of a baby in the blade. The hilt is as black as night. The sword's name is Innocence. Innocence can and has cut through Starship materials. Your hide doesn't stand a chance. ANY WOUND MADE WITH INNOCENCE WILL NOT HEAL, NO MATTER WHAT FORM YOU TAKE. THE WOUNDS WILL STILL BE THERE IN YOUR MANY FORMS. Only a handful of people can heal the wounds made with Innocence. I am one of them. Starfire is another, Kalia is a third." Rahegalhoff warned.

In the ring, the Exterminator threw a Bug Bomb, and got Else with it. Choking and confused, Else began slowing down, landing, falling to her knees, and slowly dying, not understanding how the gas and powder was killing her. The look of confusion on her face after she died was pitiful and heartrending for those in the crowd who like her. Even the Exterminator took off his cap in a moment of quiet respect for the biggest bug kill of his career.

Pengu grinned at the request.  "Sure, hang on" he said simply as he dug into his pockets.  "Let's see...cooking license, dog license, knitting license...ah!" He said as he pulled out a unique paper with censored writing on it.

He then handed his paper over.  "There you are, my Censorship license.  It took me a few classes before I was able to get that one, but I'd say it was worth it." he said with a smile.

Don't worry I should be just fine...

*the changeling seems to vibrate and then in her hand is a syringe filled with what can be assumed is alicorn blood, The only reason why this assumption can be drawn is a tiny puncture wound at the neck of Starfire*

With this blood I can absorb some of your DNA at least for the battle boosting my resistance to the blade...It should level the playing field making his blade not fatal and allowing regeneration, however with the genetic hardening I will be left without natural body armor nor able to dissipate molecularly to pratically allow attacks to phase through me, Alteast all of my dimensional tearing powers will still work, time however will not. the changeling says as she preps a site for the needle around her wrist.

*she jabs it in and her form reverts to her more equine natural changeling form in presence of the alicorn blood*

Ok now i feel as i should offer some compensation...I guess money, women, and land are out of the question so....

*the most pained expression lights up her face*

I guess a compliment to such a NICE FREIND. She clenches her teeth like she was the one who just got injected.

*The painful expression seems to make her shake like she is holding so much back*

YOU STARFIRE ARE THE MOST GREATEST PERSON I KNOW AND I SHALL REMEMBER YOU AS THE *cough only* ALICORN I TRUST AND RESPECT TO BE SUCH A NICE FREIND. the painful expression nearly draws her to tears.

*After she stops she begins gasping for air like that was the most strenuous activity imaginable*

"Thank you. With my blood at full strength, wounds heal slowly, but they do heal." Starfire said.

Else meanwhile was carried out by medics. Kalia washed her off with water from the fountain, then tapped a brick in the wall. Else started glowing, and coughed her way back to life.

"I lost." she said sadly.

"It is proof that the four people are not fit for any war. you were the most dangerous among them, and you lost to a fat old man armed with gas." Deep Blue said.

The crowd waited for Chrysalis to appear.

"In this instance, you must go out first." Rahegalhoff told Chrysalis, satisfied with Pengu's license.

*Before she leaves she kneels down in front of the queen*

Your strength matters not... your war is not your own now...it is my peoples and i promise you this...

*she moves into whisper*

your people will build on the bones of their race, be fueled by their blood, and strengthened by their agonizing deaths . she lovingly whispers to the sleeping queen.

*she then walks to the arena gate being the first to enter she wishes to have a word*

know this all who watch...What you shall see in what I inflict upon my foe will be quite graphic...so graphic your mind will likely be censored with images to help make sense of the carnage, the gore, and the destruction you are about to witness....

*she turns to where her enemy will appear*

And know this my enemy...I will take great sexual pleasure as I do things indescribable to what will be at the end of the day piles of various bodily fluids, some unknown substances, and strange meat. she says as she prepares herself for battle a exotic pullarm/gunblade in her hand and champions armor she scavenged off of a woman who's name rhythms with squawk.

OOC: The following entrance inspired by my own hellish night-terrors and Kane's Burned Entrance them from the WWE Attitude Era.

IC:

"Then that makes two of us." A malevolent voice said.
"If not three."" A voice born of purest Wrath added.

Storm clouds filled the sky, and a storm broke out over the open air arena. But what fell was not rain, but Blood, and wherever the blood struck, fire did burn. The Audience screamed and ran for cover, knowing who was coming. Sir Rahegalhoff sat unconcerned in the front row in his gleaming white armor, Starfire next to him. Both had umbrellas that were proof against the rain.

A bolt of Red lightning struck the ground before Chrysalis, and where it struck came not just fire, but the unending fires of Hell. Black as night, tinged with blood they did burn, and they spread forth, unstoppable, unopposable save by purest Holy. The wailing screams of the damned and tormented could be heard as a pool of liquid brimstone formed in the center of the great lake of Hellfire, hands, faces desperate for salvation gripped in futility at the edges of the lake.

In the center of the Brimstone, a pair of glowing red eyes emerged, and began to risee, bringing with it a steed born of terror and nightmare. It was Equine in form, but not in nature. Its teeth were not those of an herbivore, but the sharpened carnivorous fangs of a predator, its feet were not hooves, but sharpened deadly claws. It had wings, but they were not soft and feathery, rather they were the leathery wings of a Demon. Its mane and tail were made of Hellfire that did not spread. As the brimstone washed off the beast, Armor Plating was revealed, a saddle on its back. This, this was no Alicorn like Starfire. This ancient beast was the father of The Nightmares, he was the first Nightmare Stallion, the first born son of The Deadly Sin of Wrath. This was The Demon Horse known only as Hellfire.

A bolt of Red Lightning struck Hellfire's back directly on the saddle, and the creature was encaged in a storm of Red Electricity as all the Hellfire and Brimstone surged up the beast and around it, leaving only its face to grin at Chrysalis in anticipation of devouring her flesh and rending her muscles from her bone in a gory display that would sicken all future changlings who knew of this day. The Hellfire and Brimstone, yea, even the damneded souls wailing in their torments began to take shape, first into a pair of armor shod feet that sat in the stirrups at Hellfire's side, the storm of Red Electricity lost in the nightmarish blaze, which coalesced further into a fully armored man, wearing the darkest of black sitting astride Hellfire's back. He looked identical to Rahegalhoff in every way, except in the eyes. Where as one held purity and peace, this one astride Hellfire, held only Malevolence born from millennia of unchecked Evil.

She could feel his presence, even without looking, a revolting feeling in the pit of her stomach that sickened her. Else shed a tear, certain Chrysalis was about to be destroyed.

Dark Rahegalhoff brought out a blade, his legendary sword, innocence. It was just as described. The blade was blood red, the hilt was black, and the ghostly image of an innocent newborn baby could be seen. It was written that the forging of the blade had required the sacrifice of purest innocence, unspoiled by the world. As Chrysalis looked, the more she looked, the more it seemed that baby, was a baby changling....

Hellfire and Rahegalhoff strode forward through the burning battlefield, unspeakable levels of Violence clear in their intent. A bolt of regular lightning flashed down, and up went Innocence. Starfire stood upon his hind legs, and clawed the air with his forelegs screaming a demonic scream as twin jets of fire shot out of his nostrils, his wings beating a war march as Dark Rahegalhoff cleaved the lightning in half with his sword. Hellfire came down with a heavy thud so great it shook the storm from the sky sending a great wave of Lightning and rain around them as they resumed marching on Chrysalis.

"This shall be a glorious kill. I am the Judge, Jury, and Executioner of your injustice and sins. The Penalty is Death. Now come, for my blade hungers, and we mustn't starve the baby." Dark Rahegalhoff growled.

With another Demon Scream from Hellfire, the pair charged Chrysalis, Rahegalhoff swinging to cleave her in half, Hellfire moving to bite her head off!

*Chyrsalis seemingly glows red empowered by the rage of her enemies, Glowing so bright It seems as if the sun itself crashed on the field, she was still trying to limit her power but the pure emotional energy she was absorbing was overloading her limiters and in result she seemed to switch into a purely demonic form anger and rage incarnate, she then drew blood from herself turning her blade acidic and made her charge at the 2 breaking the sound barrier in the process*

*at that moment when the 2 collided the arena grew far bigger but no one really notices for in everyones mind the images were replaced with Hellsing ultimate Abridged which in comparison was not even crass in the slightest*

*what seemed like mins were days as time itself in that arena bended to accommodate the great battle*

*at the end of the battle it was practically a draw for it appears the changeling changed into some great beast was bleeding, Dark Rahegalhoff was impaled in his own blade still alive but stuck, and the alicorn hellfire was in bed with what appeared to be rasafarian asian prostitutes but had all of his legs removed?*

*the battle was truly one big mind eff and had to be stopped before the very realm collapsed in on itself*

*They all simply collapsed from exhaustion and in result all disqualified from the games*

(OOC:seriously I think this battle should be as vague as possible, nor should it have a true victor rather it should simply end, chyrsalis is out but never truly died nor did the enemy but rather they could not continue to fight with the condition they were all in and in result did not get the crowds approval to move on)

OOC: I can handle that.

IC:

The trio were carried out by medics, and tended to.

Else was playing with a hundred gold pieces she'd been given as earnings for lasting two rounds in the Arena.

Chrysalis, having gone three rounds was given two hundred gold pieces.

"Earnings from fighting in the Arena." Kalia explained after Chrysalis had been healed.

"Well, since we can't continue, I hear they have a super-massive mall we can spend these at." Else said, excitedly.

*she then slowly gets up and notices the other 2 combatants in bed in slightly a worse shape than herself*

At least it was not hell just for me. the changeling remarks grabbing her gold.

*she then realizes what she was doing in the first place*

HOLY @!#@ ELSE, WHAT ABOUT THE PANDORIAN WORLDS!!! she shouts concerned as hell.

*she then begins to grip her shoulders and shakes Else*

We were suposed to learn how to fight them better, or Get some allies or something...Actually I don't know what we were doing, But I swear that deep blue voice told us to do something. she shouts.

*she then composes herself and realizes who she really is*

"The Arena was one possibility. The Pandorian worlds will not attack, unless you attack them first, and having investigated Else's timeline, they did infact decide to give up Insectum, which means you have until Time itself ends to figure out what you want to know about them. Theoretically, you could just leave them alone and never think about them again. There are other places in Warhaven that hold knowledge." An old man said next to Kalia. His suit was decorated with Time Symbolism.

"You have GOT to try his tea, it's beyond belief!" Else enthused, sipping a cup.

I've leant a hand on occasion, my wife and I with the circumstances of your existence when you needed it most, and even when you didn't. Those iterations of me you've met, all came after this particular point in Time and Space. We spoke only briefly, brief lessons and concise pointers, with only the promise that we'd already met in the future, you see, The Future is now. They were, Kalia working on them with a number of assistants.

"Oh, we're not Gods dear, we turned Godhood down, it would be too limiting an experience. Thus it is that I can assure you, what you have said is true, but it is only part of a greater truth. There are sides to the Multi-verse that are so alien and foreign to all that you know and understand, that you cannot conceive of them. This is true for you, and all beings connected to you, even those beyond the fourth wall. The Multi-verse is infinite you see, with just as many time streams as there are spaces. Space Time Continuums so numerous, your disruption of a few one is fully irrelevant.

Especially since your very existence could be viewed in a different non-disruptive manner." Chron pointed out.

Crystallis queried, "Teleportation magic?"
Title: They fell from the sky
Post by: Insectum on April 07, 2015, 03:42:42 PM
"Indeed, a popular set of spells in the dominions of Dimensional Magic. Dimensional Magic is better categorized by its component aspects, Time, and Space. Both are powerful alone, but their greater when they combine. My dear friends Chron and Stella Jugis research the two. Their husband and wife you see.

Of course, we have the four basics, Fire, Water, Sky, and Earth. Sky holds wind and Lightning, Earth covers Animals, Plants, Rocks, Metals. The Fifth Dominion is Spirit, from which all Healers and Necromancers derive their powers.

Beyond those we also have the power of Creation and Destruction, bound to a single shared domain. Summoning Is its own category. Written Magic grew exponentially once my good friend Scria discovered any language can be used for magic, not just certain ones or certain symbols. Sir Rahegalhoff Mesquchoku, both of them as there are exactly two versions of the man, cover the dominion of Vice and Virtue, and that domain can be very religious, very fast.

That leaves me. I'm the most dangerous of them all, for my domain is Omnimancy, the magic of Energy, or as some schools put it, the magic of magic. I can use any spell ever conceived of, and can even blend and combine spells in new ways.

I suppose it can be found in our own studies. My friends and I purport that it is not the learning of spells that matters, rather it is how magic itself functions that matters when teaching students. After all, everyone thinks differently, has their own imagination, their bound to create their own spells. Better that they understand how it all functions so they don't blow themselves to smithereens trying to get creative." Xos said conversationally.

He'd turned and walked again, now leading Crystallis through a garden full of exotic and rare magical plants.

"We never passed out." Dark Rahegalhoff pointed out.

"Sure would've been nice though." Hellfire said longingly.

"It's been ages since we've had a fight that good." Dark Rahegalhoff complimented.

"Regardless, if you seek to learn of The Pandorian Worlds, there's two spots you could visit. Kessingale University, and The Bureaucratic Archive. Kessingale University is by leaps and bounds Warhaven's greatest University, with a connection to The Scientific Collective of Dr. Yamato Nasagori. Both have information on The Pandorian Worlds.

The Bureaucratic Archive is the largest museum and Library around.

Alternatively, if you feel like relaxing and having fun before resuming the search, Princess Sara, Warhaven Goddess of Love and Beauty is in town holding a social gathering, or you can visit our best Club, The Seven Sins, and really have fun." Kalia said.

The attendant was about to speak, when she looked at Else, eyes widened with shock and curiosity. Else was glowing blue across her entire body, walking as if in a trance. Deep Blue had awakened within her suddenly.

"You left me behind." Deep Blue said.

"I left you to care for them. I left half of myself, a half that became you. I left you to care for a species on the verge of gaining sentience, of becoming sapient. I left you to defend them from their cruel masters, methodically killing off those they suspected of having a mind, of being self-aware, those who were no longer the mindless thoughtless drones they once were." Came a different voice within the library that matched Deep Blue's exactly.

Every psion in the area watched Else with a mixture of awe and curiosity, as Deep Blue manifested within her.

"I grew, became separate, but not whole." Deep Blue said.

"Never whole." The other voice agreed.

"My task is finished." Deep Blue replied.

"Then come home, my child." the other voice said warmly.

Deep Blue left Else.

"No, don't go!" Else cried, reaching out in futility.

Deep Blue vanished. Energy thundered and crackled along the walls, physically shaking the archives and all within as it moved and concentrated before Else, coalescing into the form of a ghostly Aquamarinian. This one solid blue, and with innumerable tentacles, instead of the conventional 8.

"Do not cry, my child. I will still be with you when you need me, indeed, The Four Peoples need me still awhile longer. But Else, the time has come for Insectum to grow up, to advance and grow. I left half of myself, the half you know as Deep Blue behind, to watch and care for you, while I returned home. By the time I had arrived, I knew there was no need for me to return, for I could feel, Deep Blue was going to bring you with him. Your journey was always to here, to me. You came as far as you could, and the powers that be knew where to rest you, so that you could grow strong and proud.

That's why Deep Blue agreed to let you dwell with Chrysalis. We both will make you strong. I, in my way, her in hers. It is no longer enough to simply farm, and marvel at the rest of existence. You must evolve, advance, and prosper. Now is the time for you to declare your independence from the Pandorian Worlds." The true form of Deep Blue said.

"They already agreed to let us be." Else pointed out.

"They lied child. Can you not feel? Time is distorting, and not because of Chrysalis. It distorts and wavers, the fabric of Time and Space unravels. The Pandorian Worlds gather their strength, and prepare to strike. Come, it is time you learned the art of warring against Pandor. You and Chrysalis both, for when they strike, they shall strike all points in her hordes simultaneously, and without mercy." He said, looking directly at Chrysalis so she knew he was warning her.

"By the way, my real name is not Deep Blue. I am Ultimus, The Unifier. Grandfather of all Aquamarinia. No, I don't have a body somewhere. I grew so strong Psionically, I lost the need for one. It vaporized in a surge of Psychic Energy. I am a pure mind. I am not a ghost." Ultimus revealed, leading the way through the Archives.

Ultimus lead them to a secured door that opened easily at the command of Ultimus, it lead to a series of labs. In one, a dark haired man in a white lab coat sporting glasses could be seen watching a plant in a cage.

"Drones?" Else asked, for across the hall was an identical man shocking a piece of metal with tiny amounts of electricity, and further down was a third aiming a gun at a plain undressed wooden dummy. He pulled the trigger and a black gooey substance shot onto the dummy. It began expanding to cover the dummy, but then lost cohesion and fell to the floor.

"Nasagori Clones, so you're almost correct, but there is no hive mind. Each is a separate individual. The Nasagori collective is scientifically driven, to the point of religious fanaticism." Ultimus replied.

"Wait, so they fanatically pursue Logic and Reason dosed with a healthy amount of skepticism? Is that bad?" Else asked, uncertain.

"Depends on individual viewpoint, and circumstances. Allow me to introduce you to their leader, Director Zeta." Ultimus said, gesturing at another clone, except this one wore all black.

"Oohhhh look at you! So exotic, so mysterious and fascinating." Zeta marveled, circling Else. Else herself actually managed a blush.

"We came for the data on The Pandorian worlds." Ultimus said.

"Just yesterday we discovered Pandorian Slugs dissolve in alkaline." Zeta murmured absentmindedly, going to a nearby console in an empty lab.

"Pandor reproduce by implanting a slug in a host body. It grows and adapts to the host, taking on the host's properties, until finally transforming into a Pandorian regular at adulthood, having fully consumed the host body." Ultimus explained.

"Meanwhile over in the realm of reality, Alkaline does nothing to adult Pandor. In fact, despite exhaustive research, they only have one weakness, and its one your hordes cannot use. Unless, you specifically are willing to prove you have a strong enough spirit to weld it." Director Zeta said.

Ultimus shivered.

"When you speak of The Void, to what are you referring? The space between worlds? Stars? Galaxies? Universes and Dimensions?" Director Zeta asked Chrysalis, all business.

The feeling had become one of such seriousness, of such gravity, that over 300 clones had stopped their experiments just to bear witness to Chrysalis's reply. Else was unnerved, and wondered what weakness would require such a significant response.
Title: They fell from the sky
Post by: the changeling horde on April 12, 2015, 04:38:23 AM
*the changeling tries to find words to describe the void yet comes up with probably the most base description of its nature*

It can only be described as space...no no no it is more than that for it stretches and weaves between dimensions and time...no past that into confusing territory no being was ever to truly comprehend but it exists still...it is order in the form of endless chaos....like a flame that leaves your hand soaking wet and then causes it to turn into watermelon before you are turned into a inside out salamander coursing with nanomachines only to be punched right in the #$%# if body horror salamanders have those....

*she then scratches her head*

So basically even I have no friggin clue how it works, how powerful it is, how powerful it can be , and how far i can push myself until nothing of me...neigh the very universe can use before it is left in a purple smoking goo or pile of sediment. the changeling decides to just try to hear from the rest of them if they can offer up any advice.
Title: They fell from the sky
Post by: Insectum on April 12, 2015, 02:35:54 PM
"That which you have described, we know as Chaos, and we know it to be separate from what we know as The Void.

What we know as The Void, is The Place that is not, the Place that does not exist. Nothingness, pure, and absolute. Everything you can think of no matter what it is, no matter how great, or how minor, even natural and physical law, these things do not exist in The Void.

It is the total cessation of all existence, and if you enter uninvited, it will be as if you never existed in the first place, for all traces of your existence will be destroyed, even the memory and all alternate variations of you. There is no coming back from The Void uninvited, unless you've tapped into Original Creation." Director Zeta explained.

Else shivered at the thought of it all.

"Original Creation is the opposite. It is the original energy, it existed before time, before all universes, before all planes, dimensions, stars, and cosmic eggs. It was before the gods. It is the only energy the Void cannot destroy and consume. Everything else, The Void can destroy and consume, even The Pandorian Worlds, and their children, The Pandor.

Warhaven knows these two great opposing forces as The Eternal Powers. Eternal Creation, named Omnisource, and Eternal Destruction, named Kajeenith. Their known by other names in other places of course, that's just local flavor." Ultimus explained

"The point being, if you want to defeat The Pandorian worlds, I have secured an invitation to The Void. It will not destroy you. Your objective is to find The Spirit of Nothingess, Kajeenith himself, and secure his consent to use The Void. How you do that, I do not know, no being does. If you do this, then I will tell you more of The Pandorian worlds, how the worlds themselves act, the forces of the Pandorian people, everything, as with The Void, you will have a chance." Zeta said.

"I will go." Else said, shaking, terrified, but determined.

Zeta grouped those going together, and threw a switch. The last thing any would remember, is everything going dark.

One by one, senses fell away. First to vanish were the classic five senses. There was no sight, no sound. There was neither sensation of being on firm ground, nor sensation of floating. There was no air to breath, nor was there the need to breath.

Time, Else suddenly appreciated its presence, and the dull sensation of its passage. How long had she been in this empty place, a second, an eternity? A century perhaps? She did not know, all she had was a sense of self, that is, she was now more aware of herself more than ever, and with only her own thoughts for company, it was frightening.

As it was for her, so it was for the others. None could detect each other in any fashion, not even by thought. There was no Hive Mind, only a lonely emptiness that was overpowering for social creatures, as much as it was for solitary loners. Was it as frightening for them as it was for Else? She didn't know, but wherever they were in this place, she hoped they were ok.

In nature, alone in the woods, in the desert, in the open sea, even drifting among the stars, there is a sense of other creatures, somewhere. A knowledge that you are not truly alone. There are after all the presence of creatures, wild though they might be. In desperation, even eldritch monsters can be preferable company sometimes.

With a shrill laugh, Else realized that though they desired to kill her, she would've given anything to have the Pandor with her. Colberius, Halvard, Chrysallis, Hemlock, anyone.

"Is anyone there at all? Am I there?"

Else realized with horror she was losing even herself. She could feel herself fading into The Void, becoming Nothing, becoming empty, vanishing.

"Do I exist?

I think, therefore I am, but is it me thinking, or is my thought an echo of what was? If it is an echo, do I exist still?"

Else realized she was screaming, and that too was fading as The Void consumed her, consumed them all.

"I am gone."

........

Zeta threw the switch, and closed the dark portal that had taken the travelers away.

"They'll be back. They'll probably never volunteer to travel to The Void again, but they'll be back." Zeta promised.

Title: They fell from the sky
Post by: Colberius X on April 13, 2015, 05:43:32 PM
Colberius X—at least, he thought that was his name—was fighting for his existence.  The Void clawed at his very essence, tearing him apart.  The Inquisitor was fighting for all he was worth, but he was succumbing to the abyss. The Void was trying to consume him, and it seemed bound to succeed.

Either a Moment or an Eternity Earlier
Colberius had steeled himself to face the vast emptiness, standing dispassionately with the others as Zeta flipped a switch.  But the Void had still overwhelmed him.  So used to relying on his honed and sharpened senses, he nearly had a moment of panic when his sight abandoned him, followed in short order by his hearing, smell, taste, and touch.  He reassured himself with a psychic sweep.

At least I can still sense the others. No sooner had that thought flickered across his mind than his psychic sense deserted him as well.  Colberius would have sighed, had he been able to.  His innate human sense of the presence of others also failed him. As bad as this is for me, it has to be unfathomably worse for Hemlock.  Cut off from the hive mind... She'll be lucky to be sane after this, much less alive.

On his own, with nothing but his own thoughts, Colberius kept himself occupied with mental exercises.  He was reciting the elements of the periodic table in order of atomic number when he realized that he had no idea how long he had spent in the Void.  He had just reached Palladium, and couldn't remember what came after.

It took him some thought to remember, Silver.  Silver comes after Palladium. He hesitated. Or is it Cadmium? After thinking about it for a time, he was certain.  It's silver, of course.  How could I have forgotten–? Wait... How long did it take me to think of that? And why? His internal clock, typically flawless, seemed to have run down.

Suddenly, it struck him that he couldn't immediately remember where he was from, why he was here, or even who he was.  It took intense concentration to remember, My name is...Colberius X.  I am the Lord Inquisitor of...New Hyperion...and an Ambassador of Wintreath. Together with...Else and...Hemlock, I am seeking...a way to destroy the Pandorian Worlds. Having solidified this in his mind, it became his mantra.

My name is Colberius X. I am the Lord Inquisitor of New Hyperion and an Ambassador of Wintreath.  Together with Else and Hemlock, I am seeking a way to destroy the Pandorian Worlds. He repeated this to himself, but after a time—what may have been a moment, or what may have been an eternity—most of the meaning was lost to him.  Eventually, one thought was all that held the Inquisitor together in the Void.

I am Lord Inquisitor Colberius X, and I will not be consumed.

Black....white....black....white....

Else, what was it she was trying to do? Comprehend, remember. Sight, she was seeing things, yet there was no light. To her right, Colberius seemed determined to maintain some vestige of himself, to her left, Hemlock seemed to be enjoying the thrill ride to nowhere, while her minions seemed terrified.

It was at precisely that moment that Else realized she could see everyone.

"Oh thank the gods, I'm not alone!" Else cried, tears in her many eyes.

She turned back to the visual static before her, and realized she was eye to eye with an entity that had chosen to take on human proportions for its own unknown reasons.

"Not just any god, me. This is my home after all." The entity said.

Its voice seemed to come from everywhere around them, and nowhere at all.

"Your home is terrifying." Else said plainly.

"No, I simply ate you. You were rather delicious. Colberius was a bit tough, but Hemlock, I like her, few embrace The Void so totally. She was best of all. Her minions, not so much." The entity said.

"You, ate us?" Else asked, confused as to how she was still in one piece.

"Not in the same fashion you think of eating, but close enough." The entity replied.

"We've come for the power of The Void." Else demanded.

"Then take it, but leave something of equal power in return. For example, all your people." The Entity replied.

"My, people?" Else asked.

"Of course, I'm giving you the power to shatter worlds and universes with impunity. It's an equal trade. Everything, for Nothing. Besides, you'll be doing them a favor. Behold." The entity said.

The Void twitched, and all could see Else's people, freezing to death on Wintreath.

"They cannot survive on a frozen planet. You've condemned them to an early grave. The Ants will never be able to dig through frozen stone, the bees will never be able to morph the plants into the massive feeders your people require, your flies will die within days, unable to bear the cold, leading your spiders to starve. Since their all going to die, you may as well get something in return for your efforts. What would you do otherwise, leech off of Chrysalis's generosity? How long do you expect that to last if your people can never get on their feet?" The Entity asked.

He turned to Colberius and Hemlock.

"What are you willing to surrender, for the power to destroy, EVERYTHING! Even Matter and Energy." The entity asked.

OOC: I apologize for disappearing. I needed, time, with old memories, old faces, and old friends.

*Hemlock moves over and covers Elses mouth before she can speak*

Uhhhhmmm sorry mr. uhhhhh void I need to have a moment of privacy to discuss somethings with my hordes co-partners leader if you mind.  She grabs Else by the hand and pulls her into a team talk with colberius.

*she begins to weight options in front of her*

Listen Else I think we should ask a few more questions before we make a deal with whatever this thing is before we make a deal, for all we know this could be temporarily, drive you insane, kill you and/ or bring upon the end of days killing millions in the process....

*Her men had calmed down and begin to embrace the abyss*

If chrysalis was here she would urge you to take the deal saying the truth being the horde could open a rift into another realm with your people in which you could kill another version of yourself taking her peoples for yourself....

*she glances over at the void man*

But I personally find this a bit fishy, very cool, but fishy all the same...

*she looks into the nothing*

Think about it this is a Realm. Of. Nothing. wouldn't it get lonely, depressing, and boring real quick for any entity living here. This empty infinite blackness either could be just that....

*she gulps*

Or the perfect prison with no need of guards, no need of walls, no possibility of escape for whoever is placed in it. If the second is true I have 5 things to ask.....

*her eyes are quite serious*

How powerful is this being really?, What did he do to get a fate worse than death?, can we really trust someone who is willing to give away the powers of a god with no gain to himself?, who the hell placed him here?, and what are the repercussions of letting this entity possibly allowing this being to escape?. she says a bit chilled yet calm.

"It doesn't matter. I won't take it. Even alternate versions of my people, it still wouldn't quite be, my people. I desire no power that would cost so many something so precious. All the points you've raised tell me this power is, unbalanced, wrong. I deny The Void." Else declared firmly.

"And that's exactly why you're getting it. You passed the test of Body, when not even I could easily consume Colberius. You passed the test of mind, when Hemlock not only embraced The Void, but could see through its darkness to see certain truths, but not even she has seen the full illumination. You passed the test of Spirit, when you decided to side with your people, and turn away a freely offered power that would take them." The Void said.

"You heard Hemlock?" Else asked.

"This entity you see before you is a simulacrum made for your benefit. I am The Spirit of Nothingness, I am The Void itself, I am all around you, there is no part of me you can go to, that I am not already there. I am, Omnipresent within myself.

Now, back to the points Hemlock raised. Insanity is a matter of perspective, and mental strength. Certainly if you dabble in things of the darkness too long, it will break you. This is pure destruction after all. But The Void, if used properly, will do none of the things Hemlock fears. Case in point, Warhaven. The entire nation utilizes my power daily, and they have yet to cause any sort of an end of days scenario.

Secondly, this place, me. I like nothing. I like the emptiness, the infinite blackness. There's points I've skipped in both cases, but that's because there's a lot I'm saving for the final point, which I feel will answer Hemlock's five questions. The story of me.  Regardless, she's also correct, this is the perfect prison, and you're on the inside of it. You cannot leave, unless I let you, or, you call upon my opposite to save you.

Now, those five questions. How powerful am I really? Child, there are Demi-gods, Gods, and Elder Gods. I am as far beyond the most powerful of Elder Gods, as the most powerful of Elder Gods is beyond the weakest of mortal men. I am eternal, and I was, before everything, without exception, existed.

In the beginning, there was nothingness, pure and absolute. Not anything existed, and because of this, there also did not exist anything to mar the total perfection of Emptiness. Then, there was Omnisource. Omnisource is known to all beings, by different names, by different forms, by different genders even. Sometimes Omnisource is one, sometimes Omnisource is many. Suffice to say, all religions are true. For our purposes, Omnisource is a singular he. It's, simpler that way. To date, Omni and I cannot agree on whether I created him by pondering the concept of possibility, or if Omnisource created himself, and thus always just simply was and I came into being in direct response to his existence.

Suffice to say, I hated him at first, and spent the first eternity trying to kill him." The entity said.

"Ahh, you failed and that's what got you locked in here." Else said knowingly.

"To the contrary, I succeeded. I destroyed The Creator. What I didn't expect was that he could just simply recreate himself on the spot. In turn, he destroyed me, to prove a point, which was proven when despite all my efforts to resist it, I came back into being, right here in The Void, which has always been here, surrounding The Multi-verse and its farthest reaches. I realized I could never be rid of Omnisource and The Multi-verse, and neither could they be rid of me. In despair I wandered the multi-verse, not locked up in the slightest, causing trouble here and there.

Eventually, experimenting with my powers, I made myself a partner, an, equal. I named her Jiralyn, and took her for wife. She gave me my son. You remember him, Tajen, former Emperor of Warhaven. Around that time, Omnisource decided he'd had enough of my depression and antics, and so cleverly defeated me, by creating himself a daughter, and introducing her to me. Such, innocence, such purity. I found no matter how hard I tried, I could not hate her, and found, because of her, I no longer hated the Multi-verse, for it was her home. Her and my son fell in love, I'm sure you remember Cara, former Empress of Warhaven.

And that, answers your questions. Or perhaps more directly, my power is Eternal, I'm here because I live here and am in no fashion trapped, you are overestimating just what exactly I'd let you do with The Void, powers of a God my foot. Only my son has that much power. As for benefit to me, what precisely could you give me, that I cannot simply create for myself out of the decayed bits of Multi-verse that fall into my Void? I get all the positive emotion I need from my family, and materialisim simply isn't my thing. I believe the fact I can come and go as I please answers your last question.

As for why? Well, why not? So many claim to have prowess over the forces of destruction, but not many can claim they've traveled to utter nothingness, stared Eternal Destruction in the face, and walked away sanity intact.

One last item before I let you speak again, you were worried about the effects of my power on you the user, and I mentioned proper usage? These days, Omni and I, especially since I mellowed, work as a pair. Straight from me, once I fill you with the darkness of The Void, I will send you to Omni, and he'll strengthen you in turn with his Light. His Light, protects against my Darkness. My Darkness, puts a lid on his non-stop Creationisim. So balanced and effectively canceled out, you in turn hold balance between Creation and Destruction, and can sway that balance one way or the other to achieve desired effects. Practice yields mastery and better results. We do this, because he delights in helping everyone and everything, and I, simply like terrifying people with The Void. Especially those who think they've got all the answers." The entity said.

He paused.

"You changlings feed on Love, don't you? You're just going to delight in Omni then." The entity promised.

The Darkness seemed to flow into the group.

"I will allow any children born of you from this moment forth to inherit the power of The Void genetically. In strength, I will allow you to open a Void Nexus, which is a portal leading directly to The Void. It looks like a black hole, acts like one too, except not even X-rays escape a Void Nexus. Their very damaging, but I'll only let you keep one open a few seconds at most. Otherwise, you can channel Void Energy into weapons, making them far more damaging than normal, as each attack will sever the molecular bonds between atoms, meaning you can, with enough effort and time, cut through literally anything.

If you practice, you can even use The Void to travel, via a Void Nexus, as those who master my gifts can in fact escape a Void Nexus." The entity said.

"One question before I go, what's your name?" Else asked.

"I have many. Warhavenites know me by the name Kajeenith." The entity replied.

He waved a hand, and with a jolt, the group was back on Wintreath of all places, but they didn't have time to notice the cold, as the light began to grow, and grow, until it grow to such luminous strength that all was white, not just white, Golden White.

Else gasped, it was, warm, and comforting in this place. She could feel a single overriding emotion, unconditional love. She imagined it to being like a warm pie, she'd heard of pies. To Else's utter astonishment, a pie manifested before her, and it was warm.

If the changlings chose to feed on the love, they would find after they'd consumed their fill, that there was even more love present than when they'd started. The entirety of The Changling Horde could eat its fill, to gluttonous amounts even, and there would be more than when they'd started.

The light parted, as a new universe was born, and drifted off into The Multi-verse.

With a start, Else realized, the light itself, was alive, and sentient. Further, because they themselves were in the light, they were Omnipresent throughout the Multi-verse, so long as they remained in the light. She wondered how she knew these things, then realized, the Light had told them.

"Welcome." The Light said, more directly, its voice sounding like many voices, male and female, from many species.

Colberius listened with rapt attention, not saying a word, as the Void entity gave his explanation.  He even remained silent as the darkness flowed through him and the others.  The last thing he did in the Void, as Kajeenith waved his hand, was to send a telepathic message to the entity.  Thank you.

The Inquisitor was surprised when they appeared in Wintreath, but didn't have time to wonder about it. Light washed over them, warm and bright. The Inquisitor squinted in the light, being much more comfortable when cloaked in shadow.

Then he noticed the overwhelming emotion surrounding them.  It had been a long time since he had allowed himself to feel it, but it was familiar to him.  Love. Colberius shivered and pulled his cloak more tightly around him. Between the light and the love, he hoped that they wouldn't be spending too much time with Omni.  It was making him nervous.

"My light protects from the darkness, thus the powers will not drive you mad. The Darkness puts a lid on my light so you will not suffer from over-abundance. My Light shall allow you to create. Food for the hungry, shelter for the homeless, water for the thirsty. Clothes for the unclothed. These kinds of things I delight in, for I prefer to empower the individual to stand on their own, instead of causing dependence. Teach, instead of simply giving.

But still, I must admit, you can create anything you can imagine, even monsters and new life forms. But you are also responsible for what you create. Oh, you can't create planets, not individually, but something as big as you are, now that'd be possible. Practice yields greater limits." Omni said, as his light poured into them.

Chrysalis is stopped by a pair of clones. They didn't care if she looked, only if she took.

"We're glad you're interested in science, but before you enjoy your treasures, you should take the time to read the accompanying details about each, so you know where the flaws are. All are still under research by The Collective, which is why none of that, absolutely none of that is in use by Warhaven. The network tap you installed has been upgraded to a stable Network link, and as such we will share our science with you from time to time. Now, if you wanted to know what Warhaven uses, you would have to contact The Central Bureaucracy about gaining access to The Bureaucratic Archives." One clone said.

"I wouldn't do that though, the archives, they move around you." The other sad, unnerved by the subject of The Bureaucratic Archives.

It was at that precise moment that Hemlock and the rest appeared next to Chrysalis, Omni having moved them.

"Chrysalis, I give you, the channeler class." Omni's voice said, echoing around them.

Once inside, they found themselves surrounded by 3-D models, all holographic projections. Pandor seemed a cross between Else's insectoid people, but with more humanoid aspects thrown in. Some were in armor.

"These are the ones encountered in the fight with Pandor, The Ancient. That's him above us, at his fullest size, he rivaled the galaxy itself in circumference, but kept to a massive planetoid shape during most of the fight. The power he used was terrifying. But he's gone now.

His children, have never been witnessed in battle. Presumably, they use less power than their father. However, as children can and do differ from their parents, No one has any clue what the child worlds and their troops are capable of, hence getting you The Void, so as to insure if nothing else you have a weapon. I can however, tell you what their father and his troops were capable of, so as to give you a base idea. Some things are still universal as a species after all." Zeta said.

He turned to an image of a slug.

"They reproduce by implanting these in the bodies of their enemies. It is theorized the worlds themselves have an alternate incubation method, but the worlds haven't exactly allowed exploration. Lab Scanners show that yes, they can even successfully incubate in a changling, which would result in Changling Pandor, meaning your hive mind would begin to eat itself from the inside out, if you allowed these ones to connect to it. Pandor eat minds. So never, EVER let an enemy touch you, and don't go thinking you can just take their form, they identify by thought, and your minds are not carnivorous, especially in the same way theirs are." Zeta warned.

As for detecting The Void, surely their at least aware of it, living so close to it, as for being able to detect it and things in it, that would most likely vary by child." Zeta replied.

1. We move in and out of the void phasing in and out of reality hitting fast and hard with minimal casualties, possibly taking out the leadership...hell if we could get close enough we may be able to destroy them from within somehow.

2. We could use the void to displace the worlds across the literal infinite universe...to prevent reformation we will displace them atom by atom through space...I am just not certain the amount of effort needed to achieve such an effect.

3. We conjure forth ANTI-pandorian moons from another realm which must exist considering multiverse or conjure forth a totally friendly predator of the moons that is immune to their effects.

4. We find someway to make them turn against each other consuming each other in the process and kill off the last one...somehow.

*the room returns to normal*

I never said any of the plans are any good nor if they were possible I am just doing my job and pitching in. she says before sending hemlock off.

"And now the pleasant part, poking holes in your theories." Zeta smiled.

"Pleasant, you like telling people their wrong?" Else asked.

"I can't sleep properly otherwise. Besides, Science is a process of getting an idea, testing it, and finding out what's wrong with it, until you stumble across something that can't immediately be disproven. In the case of Chrysalis's ideas we have some knowledge thanks to Prince Sam. He has mechanized troopers known as Wolf Troops. Their little more than a pratfall in terms of effectiveness, but some snippets of information have been found, and they present difficulties to the four proposed plans." Zeta said.

"I have much to learn." Else admitted.

"And thus you begin to grow wiser." Zeta replied.

He waved a hand, and the room replayed Chrysalis's montage.

"Point one, Aware of The Void or not, The Worlds themselves have very acute senses, it's very likely that you won't be able to get to them this way, but I see no reason why you couldn't take out the first few waves like this." Zeta said.

It moved on to point two.

"It would require more energy than the Multi-verse generates to accomplish this. The only way it could be done is if the eternal powers themselves took sides and did it. A lovely idea, but it cannot be done on the entire world, their own will is as much a defense as the computational power required, in addition to the physical power already mentioned. Now, if we could get ahold of something reasonably smaller and central to each world, like their heart, then maybe."

Point three.

"We haven't found such in either case. That doesn't mean it doesn't exist, only that we are presently unaware of where they are. There is a theory that we might be able to use A.R.G.H.! creatures against them, but we can't tame them, or herd them. If you have any ideas where to find Anti-Pandorian Worlds or natural predators, by all means let me know, I'd be delighted to point The Adventure's Guild in that direction." Zeta said.

Point four.
"This, I don't know. There appears to be total solidarity, they are all siblings, but that could be a front too. Consider, if two of your hives were deadly rivals, but presented a united front against an enemy to insure victory, it might be similar. However, getting them to turn on each other is going to take espionage, and a silver tongue. None of our skilled agents can exist in the Pandorian environment however, so we've not been able to try this option ourselves. If you can adapt, and slip an agent in, feel free to try, you might succeed in starting the Pandorian civil war." Zeta said.

*the changeling take the knowledge into account*

Time to see what works..

*she runs a simulation of the following events*

Ok So we know big militaries are out of the question...

*she begins to revise and recompile a plan*

We send small demolition forces to phase to favorable positions within the very worlds themselves without de phase-cloaking until we can successfully eliminate a majority of them...These demolitions crews will travel inside these worlds and search for a heart or something to plant the explosives...These explosives will be void enhanced to displace the hearts across the multiverse... Whatever is left when we detnate and wipeout the majority either i negotiate to cause civil war or we get some giant beastly to eat it up.  The modified plan lights up the realm looking as if it was doodled on paper in spare time.

"That sounds workable. Just remember, as I myself pointed out moments ago, the worlds have highly acute senses." Zeta agreed.

At that point, a clone rushed in.

"Director, you've got to see this!" He exclaimed excitedly.

"What is it?" Zeta inquired as the clone changed feeds to sensors.

"We managed to get a small probe close to Pandor. We thought it was really well disguised, and had succeeded in figuring out how to sneak in undetected, but as it turns out their distracted!" The clone said.

Else shuddered in horror and gasped in fright at the sight of a monstrosity made of beaks and tentacles eating a Pandorian world, and the reality around it, dead pandor ships and troops drifting in the blackness of Pandorian territory.

"So the A.R.G.H.! monsters really are their predator. I assume the probe is bringing back samples." Zeta said.

"Yessir, immediately sir." The clone said, and rushed off.

"Why do you call it an argh?" Else inquired.

"It's an acronym. AEtherial Reality Guzzling Horror! Thus the letters A.R.G.H.! And yes, there is an exclamation point at the end.

Listen make sure that drone never gets back with samples taken from the A.R.G.H.!...

*hemlock nods as she listens to her queens whispers*

That DNA could allow us to breed a army of Beasts that can kill pretty much anything....

*She nods again to her queen*

Keep yourselves hidden, commandeer a warhaven ship with its crew and take their forms...

*Hemlock grins after the idea of piracy*

I don't want anything tying us to this so once the deed is done remove all evidence in our involvement and wipe the minds of every crew member on the ship any that resist kill them but make it look like a accident. she orders.

*hemlock salutes as she goes off to do her duties while the queen sulks back into the war room*

"So, you excited about studying an A.R.G.H!?" Else asks, unaware of the piracy plot.

"You think that's what's coming? Goodness no, we've faced A.R.G.H.!'s before. Their DNA is surprisingly complex, more so than I would've ventured for such a creature, yet, upon reading it, it does seem to be fairly sensible. What surprised me, is there is no such thing as male or female A.R.G.H.!'s, their entirely Asexual, save for the legendary Mother of all A.R.G.H!. She's completely destroyed though.

No, what's coming is samples of the Pandor, their records, weapons, a few ships. Unfortunately, previous attempts to collect data resulted in failure, something about Time instantly destroys unprotected Pandor. Attempts have been made at weaponizing Time against the Pandor, but no success. This probe, it is outfitted with special containment fields, to keep the Pandor samples free of Time and its effects." Zeta said.

"What about your Warhaven ships?" Else asked.

"Their Hardwired to not enter Pandor Space, they've been rendered completely incapable of such action, by order of The Central Bureaucracy. Only unmanned devices like my probe may enter. This is to protect against unnecessary loss of life, and the Pandor mostly ignore unmanned devices in the sense of they don't retaliate unless its a weapon." Zeta explained.

*the queen leaves the room and then uses her hive mind to communicate on a closed channel to hemlock*

Change of plans you are going to pilot remotely one of our USRGCs (Unmanned Space Research Gathering Craft) into  Pandorian space, try to gather some samples of the great beast, and plant a tracking device on it so we can monitor its movements. the queens voice echoes on the secure channel.

*cut to hemlock holding the warhaven ships crew hostage at gunpoint alongside her elite spec:ops team*

COME ON!!! I already commandeered the ship, plotted course for pandorian space, and am enjoying scaring the hell out of the hostages! she shouts to herself and on the call.

*the queen face palms but is impressed by her speed of getting things done*

Just do as I command I will make sure I will give you a bonus for your efforts. the queen sounds annoyed by this circumstance.

*She then begins loading her hand cannon*

What about these smucks  they know we are involved and we can't get away with the claim that scorch marks and bullet holes were caused by space debris...

*the queen thinks for a second*

*sigh* you got a point...dispose of them all and the ship somewhere to remove all of the evidence. she finishes before cutting the link and returning to her conference.

*Hemlock grins dastardly and then winks to her fellow sisters in arms*

You know girls we forgotten to make a good entrance here tonight....

*they all laugh at what their commander is implying*

So Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen Tonights Show Is Sponsored By RANDOM ACTS OF VIOLENCE. she then curtseys and takes off a hat she willed into existence as her team opens fire on all the hostages painting the ships cargo bay red.

*she then skips to the bridge before reseting the ships autopilot to a new destination*

Hmmmmm what doorstep should i deliver  this nicely wrapped present to? she ponders to herself on what location can cause someone to have a bad day.

*she has a Eureka moment and sets it and sets the ships hyperdrive to activate in 5:00 she then skips out of the room revealing she has locked onto the royal god families beach house that she had heard the royals were going to vacation after the games were over weeks from now*

I hope Hemlock is able to get the job done now. the queen worries.
Title: They fell from the sky
Post by: Insectum on May 10, 2015, 11:28:26 PM
In a twist of irony, Hemlock and the other changlings find they can't escape due to a massive gravity well overtaking the ship from within. All Bureaucratic Starships are powered by the Taijitu Engine Design, a Black Hole, and a White Hole counterbalancing each other, generating massive amounts of energy. With the crew locked away, the balance could not be maintained. This was not a design flaw, but a deliberate security measure to prevent piracy.

The ship, and all within were subsequently destroyed, first by being sucked into a Black Hole, then the energies and remains being scattered to the far distant corners of the universe by the White Hole, at which point the two gravitational anomalies balanced each other out of existence.

*she then proceeds to activate a beacon on her wrist to signal for the changeling Exploratory vessel to arrive.*

SERIOUSLY GIRLS THIS REALM JUST WANTS TO BE ONE BIG KILLJOY , NO HEMLOCK YOU CAN'T PIRATE A SHIP AND SEND IT FLYING LIGHT SPEED INTO A GOD KINGS RESORT HOME, NO HEMLOCK YOU CAN'T JUST SIMPLY PILOT A SHIP INTO DEADLY SPACE TO FIGHT ELDRITCH ABOMINATIONS, AND THE WORSE OUT OF IT ALL....

*her anger escalates into a roar that shakes this very universe*

I HAVE NO FRIGGIN CHOICE TO DO ANYTHING!!!!she shouts seemingly echoing across the far corners of the universe breaking it and going across the multiverse itself.

"Not really, someone made several bad assumptions. Investigating reality and asking what is, or is not possible yields more enjoyable results instead of assuming everyone falls into the same predictable cookie-cutter nonsense you've seen before." Zeta replied.

Else glared at Zeta for a moment.

"What? Every possibility that is, has already been displayed across the Multi-verse. There are very few truths that cannot be countered by an alternate viewpoint." Zeta explained.

Meanwhile, where Hemlock's craft came out at, depended on what happened next. If she came out near the dead Pandorian world, currently half-way devoured by the A.R.G.H.!, nothing, save for whatever she chose to do next, the probe was towing a ship away in a special containment field. Coming out near a live Pandorian world would result in her craft being swarmed by the Pandor, in exactly the same way that smacking a wasps nest inevitably results in many painful stings.

Else sensed a silence, one across multiple dimensions. It was a worrying sort of silence. It had been born out of one entity forgetting about something, but Else didn't know that. She did however, attempt to break the silence, by pointing at one holographic projection. It was humanoid, but more eldritch in design. It was also entirely encased in joint-less armor.

"I remember those, those are the Pandor that show up when they were really mad." Else said.

"The Pandorian Elite Troops. I've no clue how they manage that armor. It also does not lose Inertia, it simply seems to transfer it. They have a beam weapon that can somehow attune itself to different biologies, and different shield frequencies. Long story short, if you meet one, you have about 3 shots, before it, and all its fellow troopers, know how to get through your shields. Shapeshifters confuse the living daylights out of them though. Changlings might fare similarly." Zeta said.

Chrysalis I want to say the second we are done here that we go to another realm where things seem to run our way and not screw us over any other way. she says with a clear tone of frustration as she face palms hard.

*the queen moves to comfort her subject*

Don't worry I am sure once we eradicate the hell out of these moons we will return to a place where things seem to go our way. she tries to comfort the un-vented changeling.

*she then returns to the war table*

OK so The probe gathered some DATA, We have the weird powers which will likely allow us to pull some 11th hour superpower, and we surely have the men to out-number the moons considering the might of the changeling horde....

Post by: Insectum on May 26, 2015, 02:01:34 PM
The computer opened a random file, a lengthy letter, written from one Pandorian to another. Zeta began the universal translator, having it read the letter aloud.

"World Master Glennick, I write to you, both with an update, and a plea. First, the update.

As you are well aware, your fellow world masters are in disagreement over leadership following Grandfather Pandor's unfortunate demise. While we all weep for his loss, the resulting power vacuum has yet to be filled. I doubt events have reached you in your distant location, observing Chrysalis and her Changling hordes, so allow me to fill you in on the sides of the contested leadership.

First, there is Grandfather Pandor's first-born child, Panderia, Eldest daughter of Pandor. Panderia's much like her father in many ways, but I notice she has her hive masters studying the techniques of both the Tyranids, and the Zerg. I believe Panderia close to a mutation into an entirely new World Form. Of course, from my own observations, Zerg are nothing more than discount Tyranids. Panderia seeks to hold the World Family to the old ways established by Grandfather Pandor.

She is not alone in this, her general is World-Master Hyrg. Hyrg scares even the other World-Masters. He seems, genocidal, against anything that opposes his viewpoint. It could be that he's spent far too much time in Mechanus, the great cosmic machine of The Multi-verse. Hyrg and his Hive Masters march with a martial discipline that would put most War Gods to shame. Their totally mechanical, and I sincerely believe any of them capable of thinking outside their narrow viewpoints.

Panderia, with Hyrg, have many World-Masters behind them, almost 50% of the family. Victory seems certain, especially with Nelloth the unpredictable in their ranks. World-Master Nelloth, as you well know, consorts with the powers of Chaos, ruinous or otherwise.

But, not all side with Panderia and Hyrg. Xiscel, as all know, has totally embraced pacifisim, seeking simply to live and let live. To date, she has yet to produce any Hive-Masters. Zerbog remains the black sheep of the family, his actions continue to speak for themselves.

Like those two, many are, largely independent, ignoring the growing power of Panderia and Hyrg. Some wish to stay away, pointing out that the only reason Hyrg answers to Panderia, is that she is the eldest child, and utterly no other reason. With a good push, the largest faction could be divided.

It is such a division, that the relatively few smaller factions hope to employ in order to gain victory for themselves. The only one of note is the Tribunal. Twelve World-Masters, who have mastered and employed such stealth and secrecy, that their identities are unknown in totality. They might be just a rumor, however, there are Hive Masters adrift from their worlds that claim to work for the Tribunal

No one's made any direct action yet, afraid of setting off a civil war, however no one can honestly claim there hasn't been any indirect action either. There have been a number of mysterious cases of poisonings running amok. Some worlds have been weakened and left to the Great eaters. Hive Masters have disappeared without a trace after the meeting of two worlds. The situation has become tense, and I fear a strong spark is all that is needed to destroy Pandor Civilization.

This brings me to my request, let me come home. I feel I can no longer perform my assignment here effectively, or safely. I've begun to get strange looks when no one thinks I'm looking.

~ Hive Master Glennick-ur."

*she thinks methodically on how to cause a grand civil war*

Ok I have a plan involving this xisel and zerbog....

*she then looks back to The master Glennick mentioned*

However I don't like the Idea that I am just some science experiment for the intrest of some Eldritch Abomination...

"This is assuming Glennick isn't already dead. Further, we know Xiscel is supposedly pacifist, but all we know of Zerbog is that he's the black sheep of the family. This leads me to question what sort of plan you could possibly contrive on such scant information." Zeta pointed out whislt rifling through the data.

A great eater turned out to be an A.R.G.H.!, but that was the only other valid revalation. This didn't mean much, as there was still a great deal of data to comb through.

*she returns throwing a nearby glass into a wall*

ERGHHH I want to KILL or CONQUER one of these beings...GET SOMETHING DONE FOR ONCE INSTEAD OF SITTING HERE DOING NOTHING...

"I am not sitting here doing nothing, I'm combing through Pandorian data looking for information of a useful nature. It is a time-consuming process. you're the one that's just sitting around here doing nothing, when you could be off ruling your hives, getting them ready for war, doing research of your own, touring various nations. So don't stand here bitching at me for your mistakes.

Check back, or come back in a month, or do like we did, and brute force your way through a Pandorian World. You want a weakness, you wait for the month to pass. Hell, you exist outside of normal temporal continuity, you could just walk through time to the future, when I've finally gotten all the research done, but did you ever think of using your own powers to get things done. NOOOOOOO! You've got to bitch at everyone else first." Zeta snapped at Chrysalis.

"Don't you talk to her like that!" Else growled at Zeta.

"Oh, and what's she going to do about it, I'm as indestructible as she is, the loss of a single shell is meaningless to me. I might even be more indestructible than she is for all I know." Zeta said, firmly not moving.

"I guess we'll need to move to the empty lab across the hall." Else muttered.

That sounds lovely....

*the queen orders her elite to come with her to the other room before she shuts  the door, locks it, closes all the windows, motions to her men that set up several jammer and several small EMP devices and disable any other electronics immune, she then releases several magical pulses around her the first casting a sound tight spell on the room keeping the noise within, the second is a annihilation field destroying any unknown bio-matter  within the room and the final pulse seems to cause a pop in everyones heads as it disables the ability for any foreign presence to listen in or read the minds of all within*

Listen Else I have realized something that sounds idiotic, possibly insane, but so many things just don't add up and it has been getting under my skin for awhile....

*she then begins to pace back and forth*

The lack of actual action, the fact that everything seems to go wrong with changeling intervention I know my teams are pros and always end up getting the job done but the bad luck is just to high, The fact that we exist in one of the most technologically advanced civilizations in the known universe yet process data so slow, The fact that said civilization seems unwilling if not hesitant to eradicate  a civilization consuming indoctrinating eldritch abominations as a first issue, The fact that we journeyed to some location to harvest some 11th hour superpower to destroy the pandor...yet it has never been mentioned again if not used against our enemy, and finally the fact that zeta and his men appear to know everything and respond to my men sent on a secret mission to gather more info thousands of miles in space off the mental grid and away from all surveillance....What about the fact that the others have remained silent for so friggin long...

*Hemlock Seems to nod before chiming in*

You know this seems like distraction more than anything and the lack of progress either suggests sabotage or other intervention to another benefit...

*the queen hushes her to hemlocks to begrudging annoyance*

I was getting to that...So me and the girls have came to several conclusions that may make or break everything we have been working towards...

*she seemingly pulls out a white board putting suggestion by suggestion on what she is about to theorize*

1. That zeta and his men are not what they seem and are working to their own benefit in one shape or form

2. They could be along with a unknown percent of the population controlled or influenced by the pandor in a manner similar to the indoctrination effect of mass effect lore...or worse they could be Pandor or allied with them.

3. That this is all just a illusion spend to waste are time just like the matrix in a way while the pandor converge on us...This makes more sense considering we know one of them has been watching my race.

4. Warhaven is simply a place that is really crapy then what it really is, *hemlock interjects* or we are in a pretty $@#$$! college.

5. I am just going crazy from staying inside to long and not being able to kill off the thing that seems to bug me the most at this point in time

6. This realms bad luck is just far to large...

*she then stops and asks for Else opinion on things making sure that friggin clone doesn't pop up like a wack-mole to interject*

"Well, while you've been agonizing in one direction, I've had part of my mind working in another. Namely, reading through their systems. Appearently they have reams of it, just sitting in an archive waiting for anyone to read. I had to get in via some sort of a public information act for non-citizens, but still, I got in. So, in bullet point detail:

1) Those superpowers. They were given to Hemlock and her minions too, so, you'll have to ask them why or why not they haven't been using them. As for me, I used them to boost the signal gain for my own mind to further my own education, I just didn't think anyone was interested.

2) The bad luck, To a studied citizen of The bureaucracy, your luck has been phenominal, they haven't given you fines, citations, arrested you, or anything yet. They've been letting you get away with everything you've been doing all with 0 police intervention. But I know what you're really asking here, and Zeta's a bullet point all his own. The point is, your experience is normal for the average Warhaven citizen. No one likes it, everyone's frustrated by it. Their also convinced they can somehow control it. It's actually kind of amusing. It's like a flock of sheep being convinced they can control and tame the wolf.

3) Zeta. The man's legacy is one of the oldest in Warhaven. Him and his clones have pursued the realms of science with as much fanaticism as a religious zealot might pursue faith in some god. Having studied anything and everything for several thousand years, plus access to the protected central archives makes Zeta a very hard opponent to outwit. It's why he appears to know everything, for him it's all just logic and reasoning.

4) The Central Bureaucracy is the worst and most intimidating part of Warhaven. As I mentioned, everyone's frustrated by it, but also convinced their on the verge of figuring out how to control it. They've grown up under its influence, and each has heard how some lucky individual has tricked a fortune out of The Central Bureaucracy. I've seen the actual records, it's happened, repeatedly, but differently each time.

5) Why not go to the world of Ephseus and slaughter a few Vizzerdrix? You've probably got cabin fever from anticipation. I got a peak at the volume of data Zeta's ship hauled in. Sure, this is advanced machinery, but it's an equally vast amount of data. I'm not talking Gigabytes or Terrabytes, I'm talking Exaquads. Not only do they have to translate the language, but they have to understand things from a Pandorian viewpoint, and that's never been done yet. Their not changlings who can simply change their mind. Their clones of other creatures.

6) This realm's bad luck is so incredible, it once converged upon itself and became the manifestation of Bad Luck, an entity named Murphy. He could be hanging around for all I know, I can't sense spirits. The easiest cure is to contact the god of Fortune, a man named Domino, and request Luck neutralization.

Heck, why not combine five and six. Go meet with Domino, then slaughter some Vizzerdrix to let off steam. You don't need a license. In fact Vizzerdrix hunting is encouraged. As for the others, well, I don't think the answer to that lies in our plane of existence, but with the cosmic writers." Else replied.

*she then looks at a tablet*

Shes currently 25% angry...but she is the highest queen in the changeling order so i guess collateral damage may be...

*the changeling calculates using the device and then drops it clears the data*

still way to high. the changeling elite lets out sheepishly.

"OH! You want a Pandorian Target? Well why didn't you say so? You made it sound as if you wanted the entire war to kick off right this very second. The fault isn't with us, it's with the cosmic fates. Mine wasn't understanding yours. Their territorial edge is ten light years to the west and four dimensions up. I can't promise it'll be Glennick, but they'll undoubtedly have sentries patrolling their borders. You just can't take a Warhaven ship, that's all. It's not considered right to kill a species just because it's hostile and willing to wipe out the rest of civilization. That Alicorn we met earlier, Starfire? Him and his human companion are the ones preventing it. They say it's no more correct to kill all Pandorians than it is to kill all wolves. A creature should not be slaughtered because of its nature. Those that prove themselves threats via actual invasion are deemed worthy targets, but none have invaded. Thus, the child worlds are left in peace.

Why, if you can secure a fast enough changling ship, we could be there in, an hour." Else said, finally understanding.

"Also, uh, this isn't a planet, it's a planet sized ship. There goes the enviro-Sim." Else sighs.

*Hemlock looks a tad bit confused if Else was speaking to her*

Ughhhhh... Queen Else you did  see the whole changeling hopping through the window, slamming the ground, and going off on a fury bout...Right? the changeling looks a tad bit confused.

"I saw that, that's why I mentioned it was an Enviro-Sim she'd crashed into, and that this was a planet-sized ship she was in." Else said.

Further on, Chrysalis would encounter two clones examining the foliage closely.

"Did you hear about the experimental ship Zeta's building?" one clone asked the other.

"The warship based off of all known Pandorian data?" The other asked.

"I hear it'll be ready for testing soon." The first one said.

*the changeling seems to pounce one of them ripping him into visera or really something similar before impaling the other on a sharp blade jagged wing that seems to form from nowhere*

OH EFF YESSSSSSSS!!!! she practically seems to disturbingly get off to the idea that finally she was going to kill something challenging for once...even better she was going to use take that annoying clones toy and breaking it in like the most wonderful pair of pants.

* the wing pulls him closer convulsing upon its blade to her menacing slasher smile on her face covered in the blood and guts of his friend that was there seconds ago*

Why hello there, your conversation piqued my interest...

*she looks at the horrible wound she has inflicted*

That and the copious amounts of blood leaving your body...

*she proceeds to lean in and lick some off with a long snake like tounge savoring it as the flavor explodes in her mouth her saliva irritates the skin causticly*

Mhmmmm I could do this all day...but i have bette things to do...

*she wipes off the blood on her lip*

Would you be a gentlemen and tell me about this wonderful device and where it is being housed. she asks in seemingly echo chamber, seductive voice as she looks into his eyes as he is slowly bleeding out on her sharp wing.

Colberius X recoalesces next to Else, having spent the past twenty minutes teleporting around, getting used to his newfound abilities.  Apologizing to Else for startling her, he then notices the Queen off in the distance, casually goring two clones.

"What in blazes is Chrysalis doing???"

*hemlock looks through a rangefinder at the queen only to be startled by colbe*

Oh lord colberius we were wondering where you have been, Chrysalis is a bit...

*notices the queen thrash the impaled clone around on the wing trying to get a response*

disgruntled is a really good word...

*she tries to keep colbe back from the window with else*

Listen I need you both to stay back...Let chrysalis do what she must and what she wants it is in the guard handbook on how to deal with queens...

*she gulps*

Make a queen angrier the more damage...chrysalis is a high queen so the potential damage is catastrophic. she informs while returning to watch if things progress.

"We're supposed to just let her rampage across this entire world? I think not."  Colberius took a minute to concentrate, and then closed his eyes, reaching out a hand towards Chrysalis.  "If she wants to go on a rampage, that's fine with me. But not here."

Out of all the powers he discovered in the twenty minutes after getting back, manipulation of Void Nexuses was his favorite.  Using the powers of the Void, Colberius created a portal right under Chrysalis.  Before she could even be surprised, the Queen found herself falling through the atmosphere of a Pandorian world.

"I hate to see unfocused anger." Colberius shrugged towards the others.  "I'm sure she'll be fine. I'll apologize to her later."

Unfocused no.... she appeared to have some goal in mind...

*hemlock notices the dying labtech on the ground with the range finder*

If this was truly unfocused she would have killed Else, Me, and everyone else she saw...Why would she interrogating someone?...

*before she can follow up her train of thought seemingly a shadow forms on the ground by the former scientists before chrysalis reappears warping back into existence*

COLBE YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS CONTROL OF THE VOID REMEMBER?! she looks towards him starring unamused.

*a sort of cloak appears around her masking her presence in the void leaving teleportation targeting rendered null, she then notices the dying lab tech on the ground a wound in his chest where his heart should be*

now now now...I need that information, I am going to say this might be painful, but if you look into your heart which is currently against that tree over there you will likely handle this better. she jokes before the following scene.

*she opens her mouth revealing a number of sharp teeth and proceeds to eat the lab tech alive very messily, when the deed is done she awaits a flow of information she had gathered from the recent Genetic memory encoded on the beings genetic material*

Chrysalis would find that all information was being deleted faster than she could learn it, and it was even being erased from her. All clones had swarms of secially designed Nanites inside them to carry out various functions, one of which was the prevention of data theft by genetics. In direct retaliation for Chrysalis's crime against The Collective, all leniency was now gone. The Nanites began to destroy Chrysalis from the inside out, starting with her genetics, and her vital organs, plus blocking her body's ability to use any and all supernatural power. Acidic blood was meaningless to these nanites, the material from which they were made came from the depths of the Mephidross on Mirroden, a very HIGHLY corrosive swamp.

The dead clone reappeared next to her in a minty fresh new body.

"I don't know. Zeta keeps his secrets well, all I know I learned via the grapevine. Ours just happens to be very precise. A shame you probably won't get to ask him where, as by now, the Nanites in my former body, will have now begun destroying you, in totality. Good luck getting them to stop, I can't do it, only Zeta can. Zeta is the only one with Master Control over all systems. Once my last body died, my control key died with it. I can only control the Nanites in this new body. Of course, if you look into what little remains of your heart, I'm sure you'd understand." The clone said, returning Chrysalis's own joke to her, before slapping her then teleporting away.

*The queen begins laughing maniacally*

YOU THINK SOME BITS AND BOBS WILL DESTROY ME!!!! the queen coughs up blood.

*She then uses the new void abilities to warp the nanites from within seemingly dissolving herself into a goo from displacement of bio-matter*

Colbe, Else I think we might want to get off world...

*hemlock and her guards motion to a nearby portal*

YOU THINK YOU CAN KILL A HIGH QUEEN!!! The stations speakers rang out.

*The queens body regenerates with a odd circuitry look to her veins*

FOOLS YOU HAVE GIVEN ME THE KEYS TO YOUR DEMISE!!! The queens voice gets more and more distorted.

*little did that clone know while she displaced the nanites her body was able to using synthetic materials that were warped within her bio-mass to create nanites of her own and after accessing the warhaven network had installed a rather crippling virus that went past all firewalls infecting all synthetics and those possessing nanites within warhaven*

Oh nononononononononono. hemlock says as she arms herself prepareing for whats about to occur.

*Within seconds the station was hers and chaos rang out, Riots stated as men and women went insane for the vast voices of the hive mind and experienced wicked hallucinations driveing them to uncontrollable violence, all manner of craft began to crash into buildings, and all security systems seemed to turn on their masters...the very world seemed to light aflame*

GET DOWN!!! Hemlock jumped to push ELSE out of the way as a transport craft smashed through the window separating Colbe and the 2 girls....

*The changeling queen looks around at the beauty of destruction*

The perfect distraction to get my hands on that ship...lets find it now that I have the whole network under my command and influence...

*she then notices she may have left a few holes open*

I better raise my own firewall on my control to the network...I don't want some hacking twit to possibly do anything. Her calculated mind balanced by her connection to the hive establishes a firewall across the network the vast amounts of information she has being spread out across the collective of both the changeling horde and the citizens of warhaven.

The Collective's network and The Hypernet were two distinct systems, and while The Collective's network was indeed taken over temporarily, The Hypernet was not, due in part to The Aquamarinian Hive-Mind, which was the under-laying super structure of The Hypernet. Better entities than Chrysalis had tried and failed to take over The Hypernet from Aquamarinian control and failed, she stood no chance.

The Nanites in the clones, and Alyssa, an A.I. made entirely of Nanites were enslaved. While the clones simply suicide into new bodies in other places, Alyssa purged herself of the Virus and continued on. Only Zeta and The Board of directors remained, for their Nanites could not receive any outside input at all.

"It would seem we've found the perfect test subject." One Board Member said.

"I concur, the final testing of Experiment 9 should commence immediately." Another said.

"All agreed?" A third asked, and indeed, all did agree.

"Then, release Omega Weapon." Zeta decreed.

Each board member teleported to a different spot throughout the collective, and produced a special key, using it in a normally unused key slot. Zeta used one in his office. From across 13 dimensions a signal came, and a signal went.

Klaxons on the wall began to sound a general alert.

"WARNING! TESTING OF OMEGA WEAPON HAS COMMENCED, ALL PERSONNEL ARE TO REPORT TO OBSERVATION STATIONS IMMEDIATLY. ALL E CLASS WEAPONRY AND ABOVE IS TO BE READIED AND EQUIPPED IMMEDIATLY. ALL X CLASS DEFENSES WILL BE RAISED, ALL ESCAPE WILL BE IMPOSSBLE ONCE THE DIMENSIONAL BARRIERS HAVE BEEN RAISED. I REPEAT, TESTING OF OMEGA WEAPON HAS COMMENCED!" came a pre-recorded alert that repeated itself endlessly across the system.

Dimensional barriers began to raise, as armored bulkheads began to replace the normal bulkheads. In terror, Else teleported away back to Warhaven, currently in a different dimension. The Void became sealed in totality against all usage, Colberius X would find himself safely transported away, leaving only Chrysalis and her changlings to face Omega Weapon.

After the barriers rose, a pocket dimension opened, and from it came a monster so powerful the only way to contain it was to seal it in a pocket dimension and scatter it across the Multi-verse. And so it had remained, until the signal across 13 dimensions brought it together again. Even with dimensions sealed, all in Warhaven, all in insectum, and people in other places beyond knew something, somewhere was amiss. A creature that was a crime against nature, an affront to the gods, and blasphemy against Creation itself bellowed its bloodthirst from the lower decks with such strength that the sound of its voice alone shook all decks of The X-2 research facility.

With a terrible screech, the armored bulkheads of X-2 proved meaningless to the creature as it burst through the floors and closed its massive jaws around Chrysalis, biting down to not only kill her, but grind her meat between its teeth, before disappearing again, and it was only a giant pair of jaws that could be seen thus far of the creature.

*before the changelings could meet a grizzly end a white light enveloped them seemingly teleporting them to a safe happy place...an Island floating in a vast blue sky like a ocean...A small beach house resided on it and their lay the queen dressed in white reclining relaxed on a lounge chair*

Welcome my children to The queens dream...very few changelings ever see this place...This place is one of peace and rest...one is created at the end of a high queens life. the high queen speaks not in a voice of anger or annoyance but a calming soothing voice.

*Hemlock can't seem to process what is going on around her bursting into tears at the death of her queen*

But you can...you could have used any of us to pass your consciousness...USE ME, BUT DON"T DIE!!! she snivels as she is tragically begging for her queen to save herself.

*the changeling queen embraces Hemlock*

Now now my child don't weep, I knew this day would come when I was to finally give in, I spent the rest of my energy to teleport you here to this place beyond time and space a pocket realm only accessible to our kind to save you all...

BUT WHYYYYYYYY. Hemlock weeps.

I am closing the bridge, ending the game for our race in the matters of those whose fate will not bend no matter how hard we pushed, I perish to save you and the swarm from living in this nightmare of only moving one way for likely a eternity for with all of my knowledge even in death I see no end in sight...

I love you mom. Hemlock gives in and accepts what is to come.

I know my dear, now be a brave girl and take responsibility for you will take up the mantle of High queen now i dub thee chrysalis the 5th...now go and lead are people to happiness.

*the changeling queen then waves her hand revealing a golden portal sparkling with the energy of light open to a realm on a new universe untouched by the pandorian threat but like their old one before all this madness*

Go through my child you will be safe, I will seal and remove all traces of the former realms from you...your powers, your possessions touched by entities of this realm...and your memories...

*the changeling leads her children through the gate stopping at it to give her blessing to each before closing the rift behind her*

*before the realm separates itself from the very multiverse becoming a pocket universe in a sea of black nothingness she sends a final message to Else*

This is the end...We can help you no longer, for fate seems to play its cards in such a manner that it is removed from our ability to change it, it is rigid like stone staying on one path unable to compromise and allow things to flow dynamically, as a result My story and my people story is incompatible...

*she looks on in her infinite gaze into something far off in the distance a number of clicks and swearing is heard*

We changelings never liked being pawns and such overthrew our masters long ago, we fight and fight it and some battles we win changing the grand motion of things, yet some we can't change no matter how hard we try.......I wish you luck in your quest...for it will be a long one with no end seemingly in sight,  but you have noble goals... and with that I leave you with my prayers...for in the hands of a cruel toying god I can only give you those...may fate cradle you unlike so many who fell. With those words the voice disappears with all trace of the queens precence leaving colbe and Else alone in the metaphorical prison of this realm.

OOC: I am done, the changelings have left the building...After growing bored from a very predictable and rigid path  I have decided it be for my better to leave the RP...At least with this note I can remove my presence in a more dignified manner than just never responding  and leaving my character standing around gathering dust... I hope progress can be made without my input and for others to find some enjoyment in the story.

It was bad enough being forcefully teleported to an unknown location.  But, then, to top it all off with feeling the psychic emanations of a monster that shouldn't exist, couldn't exist, coupled with the end of High Queen Chrysalis... It was too much.  Colberius surrendered to unconsciousness and toppled into blessed darkness.

He'd turned and walked again, now leading Crystallis through a garden full of exotic and rare magical plants.
With crystalline eyes gleaming with curiosity, Crystallis glanced inquisitively at the sparkling emeralds neatly positioned throughout the room. He was familiar with a significant proportion of the different species of plants in the garden thanks to the tiresome but surprisingly beneficial lectures from Mother Gaia. Grinning at a particular potted plant, he promptly rushed forward and began his attempt to pull it out of the soil, resulting in rather painful screams that thoroughly violated his organs of hearing, with blue mucus oozing out from his ears as part of the body’s defence mechanism.

Wiping his ears clean, he returned and spoke “Apologies, sir. I was instinctively reminded of my childhood when I saw the glorious Mandragora officinarum. Would it be possible for you to give me a quick tour around the garden?”

Edit: After reading through the last few posts, I have realised that I have rejoined this at a very bad timing. Apologies for that.
