OOC: Have you read through the Oh, The Places You'll Go In Wintreath thread? You seem like you like constructing worlds, building locations and creatures you might face in that world etc as much as I do, so I'd advise taking a look through and seeing if you like what's there :) It'd be great to have someone else adding to that thread as well; I've got some images saved on the last page that can be used, though it is sort of IC for the upcoming Houses RP.

Yes, I have read through, and even posted some things in Oh, The Places You'll Go In Wintreath, but i wanted this to be like the frostbite tavern, you know, like a role-playing area.
Yeah, that's why I put OOC :) means out of context, so not related to the RP, just in case you didn't know.
The quiet and darkness deep within the Caverns is shattered in a thunderclap of light, startling the many creatures that live nearby. A startled looking man appears, already in the process of casting away an amulet of some kind and drawing a wicked looking poleaxe from over one shoulder. As bats and other flying things screech and flap through the air above, seeking refuge from the swiftly fading light of his arrival, the man hefts his weapon in both hands and looks about.
"This," Klause grumbles, "Is not Frostlake City."
The lingering glow dies, plunging him into darkness.
"Great."

A scrawny hobgoblin steps from the gloom, and speaks in a way that makes you think that he has drunk a thousand coffees;
"Great, great, great, great, great, mm!" He moves in a jittery manner towards Klause, " It is great, b-b-b-b-be-becaauuse... I, yes I, me, the little foul beast you are talking to, well not talking, listeningg... to... " His voice slows down, and deepens, " Can take you to wh- wh- wh- where... you are looking to travel." He smirks a vicious smirk.

"Why should I trust you?" Klause asks, tapping his weapon against the ground to ignite a small crystal at its tip that cast a softly crackling purple light into the gloom. He takes in the hobgoblin properly in the glow, and purses his lips.

The hobgoblin lurches quickly towards Klause, and his uncertain face. "Just... h-h-h-hmm..."
The putrid pixie develops an idea in his primitive brain. "W-w-w-well, who else c-ca-can you trust?" He gestures into the dark cavern behind him. "I don-don't see anybody around. Do you?"

Then a loud crash came from the ceiling of the cave and a gallant King swiftly decapitated the hobgoblin and deeply announced ''you should never trust hobgoblins''

Klause takes a long look around the caverns now that his eyes have adapted to the gloom and sighs. Before he can do anything else a large creature falls from the ceiling and lands in front of him, prompting him to heft his poleaxe and take a step back.
"Who... or what... are you?" He asks the new arrival guardedly.

The Adventurer Named Sioldir Fidaud was on his travels to the city of Kort but half way through the adventure he saw a little Impasse so he decided that he had a couple hours of sunlight left. So he followed the impasse and came to a cave entrance he tied his horse to the tree out side of the cavern and adventured in side. when he arrived at an opening in the cave it didn't look like any normal cave. He then realised that it was no normal cave it was misty pearl cavern he had stepped foot into so he decided to carry on through the cave until he heard footsteps around him so he decided to say''Show your self''.

A pale-skinned character stepped from the gloom, wielding a rusted flail in one hand, and a pocket watch in the other. His eyes were purple-red.
"I", he spoke in a rough, yet posh sounding accent," Am Indosyl... What business do you have here?" His voice was monotonous and dull.
"If you're looking for the relic, then back off!", his voice now full of anger," I was here first - so it's mine. MINE!"
He was now swinging his flail left to right with force and effort, and his eyes were full of firey aggression. >:D

Sioldir Fidaud replied with persuasive meaning in his voice '' there is a relic here I didn't realise maybe we could find it together I'm Sioldir Fidaud at your services a sell sword if you must.and if we work together we could find it twice as fast but if you do decide to hire me you will have to pay.

"Hire you?!" Cried Indosyl as if Sioldir was the most disgusting creature he had yet laid eyes
upon, "I'll have you know, I can function very well alone! Well... you can tag along, if you wish, but I shall not fork over my hard-earned cash! Now if you are not following...
Good day to you, 'sir'! Now leave me be!"
Indosyl poured a bottle of gasoline over his flail, and held a lit lighter to it. The flail burst into flames. This was his torch. Indosyl nodded, and silently stepped into the dark mist of Misty Pearl Caverns...

Sioldir followed the strange man as he drew his expensive looking native steel wintrean sword and oak shield. Sioldir asked the man ''how did you happen across this place I see no horse and there's no civilization for miles.

Indosyl was looking at some strange carvings in the ground.
"Hmm?",he inquired.
"Oh... sorry I was just observing these carvi-
never mind, you asked about my horse, did you not...
It's by the River Hercke, near the main entrance.
And I didn't happen across it, i'll have you know!
It took me some time to find this disgusting hole of filth!
But err... why did you wish to-"
But then Indosyl was cut off by the cave wall being broken by a great werewolf-resembling beast - a hybrid.
Indosyl panicked, and bopped the beast atop its head with his flail, leaving an indent in its skull, and angering the creature.
Indosyl hopped behind a rock while he figured out what to do, but no plan was forming...
It was down to Sioldir!

Sioldir faced the beast with courage revelling his sword and slicing it directly in the throat it bent over dyeing. To finish it off he he poured wolfs bane on its wound so it would die a less painful death. Sioldir glanced at his accomplice trembling behind a rock and Sioldir stated''its ok to come out now anyway it was only a first bred not even a threat to a rabbit.

Indosyl replied angrily,
"Not even a threat to a rabbit!? That's utter sh*t! That thing was bigger than me!
Don't get all full of yourself now, whatever your name is... I just panicked... I actually am an experienced fighter! Who do you think you are - Don Bambo... or whatever he's called." >:( Indosyl took a long sigh and stared at the ground for a moment.
"Look, i'm sorry, I just- It's-...
Hmmph... never mind, erm... what is your name? Sea-old-deer? In case I have not told you, my name is Indosyl. I come from the far North, just outside of Wintreath, but I live in Kort now. So, what about you, hmm? Where do you come from?

''Me I hail from the city of Castahal'' answered Sioldir.'' Now you said you are a skilled fighter where did you learn to fight'' asked Sioldir.

Indosyl smiled and looked at nowhere in particular, as if remembering something (Which indeed he was).
"I was quite the adventurer back in my day... Learnt how to fight... heck I was once put in an arena and pit-fought a troll! Ha ha ha... But around 30 years ago, well, I just stopped.
You know, adventuring.
Although, I thought I'd just try to find this 'unicorn horn' or whatever it is, you know... some extra cash in my pockets, and to remind me of my golden age... Now *Ahem* Lets" Began Indosyl, with a new-found confidence in his speech,"Find that Artefact!"
Indosyl smashed what he thought was a rock (But was actually the giant lesser-spotted five-shelled wintrean cave armadillo) into peices using his flail, and crawled down a small passageway behind it, and into the depths of Misty Pearl Caverns...

Sioldir followed the man that he thought was nice enough. But he did think he was a bit crazy to just give up adventuring all of a sudden. I wonder what made him stop. Sioldir followed him until they heard a noise and all of a sudden a mighty botchling came out of no where Sioldir shouted to his accomplice its time to show me your fighting skills.

Indosyl flipped around the botchling with great acrobatic skills, whilst swinging his fiery flail about in all directions. Eventually, after lots of spinning and flipping and jumping and hopping and bounding and back-flipping... Indosyl landed neatly on the cave floor, and the botchling simply stood there, with a dazed expression, before closing it's eyes, and exploding into botchling spawn, which covered the cave, and every object inside (Including Indosyl and Sioldir). Indosyl smirked and said to Sioldir,"There's my fighting skills. Now come, make haste! We need to find the Inner Sanctum of Misty Pearl Caverns! That Is where our fortune lies."
Indosyl checked his Brass Edition Co-ordinate Calculating Pocket Watch. He clicked one of the ten buttons on the side, and the numbers and dials on the front spun and rotated. It read X:784, Y:112
"We need to be at X:793, Y:310. So lets go."
Indosyl looked up above his head, and saw a crevice in the ceiling, which lead to another section of the cave. "And", he began,"If my pocket watch is correct", he pushed another button, "then we need to be up there."
Indosyl pulled out his grappling hook, and grabbed Sioldir. Then he used the hook and made sure that it was securely attached to the roof of the cavern, before grappling to the crack, and crawling through. "Come on!" He gestured to Sioldir, "This way"

have read about these doors there aren't to many of them through out Wintreath but that's all I know about them wait I still have the book with information on these ancient doors'' Sioldir hands Inydosil the old tattered book...

Out of nowhere Sit Jammy Bob II crawls in through some holes, he feels hungry and scared.

Indosyl stared at the old man for a second or two.
"Erm... tag along with us, if you wish... My my, you look hungry, here have this bread, you dirty old man." Indosyl handed the strange man a moldy stale piece of bread.
Then he turned to Sioldir and took the book. He studied it for about three minutes, and took some notes into his journal. "We must decode the door. It has a very specific code. I have an idea." Indosyl then took out a book with a cover so worn, it was now white rather than brown, and flipped to page 433. "Wintrean Sealed Doors... Hmm..." He studied the page carefully, and made more notes.

"Well, I may have cracked the code!" He cried, triumphantly, and with that began repeatedly hitting the door with his flaming flail, but to no avail.
"This is absolute bullsh*t! We came THIS far for a ghastly old man to crawl through the wall like Gollum, and be met with an forever locked door! We'll never crack the code!" Said Indosyl, "Sioldir, or... you", he gestured to Sir Jammy Bob II "Any ideas? This is rather difficult to figure out, my dear fellows!". Indosyl sighed heavily, and threw the books at Sioldir.

Sioldir takes the snatches the bread from the strange man and says'' share the bread I'm hungry Sioldir breaks the bread in half and he see's there is at least twenty maggots nestled inside the stale old bread so Sioldir throws the stale bread at the old man it thumps him on the head Sioldir says to inydosil ''i have it i know how to crack the code we just need to hit it 5 times with a sword and it says here it shall open''.

"I have got an idea" said Sir Jammy Bob II with a mouth full of bread "Next time bring some better bread you ret*rd!"
After eating the bread Sir Jammy Bob II says "I'm still hungry", and starts munching on a rock he found.
Suddenly he hears a loud noise and starts panicking so he runs back through the hole screaming "I'm not going to die!"
It turns out the noise was just a rock falling.

Indosyl had on his face the most confused expression he had in his life.
He shook his head and blinked before remarking, "Okay, that was weird..."
"Now give me your damn sword, before I pull it from your waist and stab you with it!"
Indosyl then began swinging his flail again.

Sioldir says'' to inydosil no your not touching my blade i will do any way i seem to be the most intellectual out of us'' Sioldir resumes to unlock the door. He does it right and the door opens slowly but in-between the smoke and the dust he hears a loud roar. ''oh it seems we have a hybrid on our hands.

"Another!? Ahem... apologies for the death threat, I just... I-" Indosyl attempted to explain, but was cut off by the hybrid trying to tear the skin from his face. "Auugh!" Screamed Indosyl as his arm skin was shredded. He lit the hybrid on fire with his flail (Now running out of gasoline) and it screamed in agony as its fur burnt away. Indosyl turned to Sioldir, as if it was his turn to battle with the disgusting creature.

Sioldir turned to the hybrid and pulled out his blade that looked more shiny than ever and he sliced him right in half. But before they set of through the door Sioldir pulled out one of the hybrids teeth inydoril looked at Sioldir with a confused expression on his face Sioldir turned to him and stated ''its for alchemical purposes'.'

Indosyl walked through the door and told Sioldir to follow. "You know..." ,declared Indosyl loudly, as the two adventurers walked through a moss-covered corridor ,"You seem like alright... and to me, not many people do! So... I shall tell you my story...
jk lol ahahhahahh" Indosyl's eyes widened slightly.

They awoke to the sound of Trema The Earth Lord [Backstory on Trema. Trema tunnels through misty pearl caverns using his sharp claws and jagged teeth to defeat enemies.his muscular body is covered in thick black armour tough enough to withstand the strongest of sword slashes.] Sioldir shouted loudly with a bit of fear in his eyes. ''Inydosil WAKE UP NOW!!.
Inydosil awoke, And grabbed his flail. And they both prepare to fight the terrible beast.

Indosyl lit his flail and spoke to Trema.
"What do you want with us?"
Trema replied," YoU aRE TreSspaSSINg mY pROPERty anD TryING TO stEAl My arteFACT!"
Trema's voice was croaky and she sounded like he had asthma and bronchitis all at the same time.
Indosyl replied to him,"The artefact is not yours! The Grey Horse Courier said it was there for the taking."

"iT liES! LIES!", cried Trema
Indosyl looked over at Sioldir, unsure of who to believe, or what to do.

Sioldir said to Trema'' you do not have to do this, kill us we can just go by you with out hurting you let us leave and we shall take your artefact and leave with no harm done'' Sioldir stared into Trema's eyes something like magic or a power came over her and she became passive and let the adventures by.

Indosyl told Sioldir that they were ever nearing the co-ordinates of X:793 Y:310, and he pushed a black-painted ivory button, which turned the watch into a projector, and it projected an image of the Inner Sanctum on the cavern wall. "This", remarked Indosyl,"Is where we need to be!"

Sioldir says to his accomplice ''we must head on now then we have had enough rest and food'' Sioldir looks at Inydosil and looks back.
Sioldir says to Inydosil '' hopefully we do not run in to any more spawn of hell or whatever they are.
Sioldir remembers that he had a book of drawings on the misty pearls so he checked to see which part of misty pearl caverns they are in.

Indosyl moved some stones which blocked the entrance to a thin cavity. Assorted insects poured out, along with some bats. Indosyl said to Sioldir,"Ladies first!", and Gestured to Sioldir.

Sioldir says to Inydosil ''I'm no lady sir I anything you are the more lady like with your thin twiggy arms and small stature''. Sioldir says sarcastically. he then began to walked through the door and he saw a massive brass door that looked like It needed some sort of ceremonial weapons to open the door Sioldir says to Inydosil.'' look I think we need to get some sort of ceremonial weapon they are hopefuly around here some were''.

Klause, who'd faded into the background with the emergence of the other characters, is wandering through another section of the caverns, weapon in hand. He pauses to examine a cluster of rocks, but after a moment jabs the haft of his poleaxe between two of them to use as leverage. A grinding sound is heard, then the larger slab of stone slowly rolls out of the way, revealing a tunnel.
"Interesting," he notes, reaching into one of the deep pockets on his coat and withdrawing several crystals that light up when he shakes them. Klause drops two down the tunnel, and starts after them.

"Well how do you know that-" Began Indosyl, in reply to Sioldir's claim, but was interrupted by Klause bursting down through a hole in the cave's roof.
"Aaugh!" Screamed Indosyl, staring at Klause as he was righting himself.
"Who are you? You're not that crazy old man again, are you? If you've come for the artefact, i'm afraid you're out of luck... The door's sealed."

"I might be crazy but I'm not that old," Klause grunts, dusting himself off with an annoyed look at the cavern's ceiling. "Who puts a tunnel like that in a place like this?"
He glances around, eyes coming to rest on the large door in front of the group he now finds himself with. A momentary inspection concludes that indeed, the elderly man is correct: the door is sealed. Several grooves inlaid into the surface indicate something - or somethings - need to be placed in the door for it to open.
"Well, we should probably try and get this open."

(OOC - Indosyl's not a small creature - Indosyl's a fully grown 111 year old man!)
"Here," Said Indosyl, giving Klause a book entitled 'A guide to Wintreath', by I. M. Arritore.
"This should tell us how to open this thing."
Indosyl fired his grappling hook at the door in an attempt to open it, but this obviously did not work. He then took out his pocket watch, and pushed a few buttons, and the interior of the watch rotated and changed again. He did this to see their co-ordinates. "Yep. Were almost exactly there. Worked anything out yet, Sioldir, or err... you?"
A strange silhouette was in the distant reaches of the Outer Sanctum, and Indosyl noticed this odd outline.
"Maybe we should try to find some ceremonial weapons as you suggested, Sioldir...", said Indosyl, in an attempt to give them an excuse to leave. (The silhouette worried him.)

Klause nods, hand falling to his belt and withdrawing several glimmersticks. He offers two to the others, then cracks the third against his thigh and tosses it into the shadows lurking at the edges of the room, waiting until it settles several metres off the ground before starting out.
"What would these weapons look like?" He calls back over his shoulder, eyes alert for any sign of danger. "And I propose we start in this room and work our way out. Sticking together in a place like this is a must, if my experiences of it thus far are representative of the rest of the caverns."

Sioldir replies to Klause'' From what I heard about these weapons they are a very dark dirty looking steel but have a distinct effect glowing around them.'' Sioldir looked at the ground were there seemed to a suspicious looking mound of dirt, so Sioldir started rummaging through the pile of dirt and who knows what. Until he came across a note that said 'look to the walls and thy shall find the Almeric Pass, that's were you will find the keys. Sioldir looked to both of the men and said ''lets look to the walls then.''

The walls of the caverns were mossy and damp. Ancient etchings lay between stony ridges atop natural pillars leaning against the rock face. A rock collapse was in the corner of the chamber, and Indosyl swiftly contradicted that with his flail.
"That ceremonial enough for you?", he rhetorically questioned. He looked at the flail's impact sight,"Looks Almeric-y to me.", announced he before stepping into a newly-opened passageway.

Sioldir then finds a stalactite piercing his skull, and drops to the floor, dead. Klause and Indosyl drag his body out, and the cave entrance collapses, shutting them off forever from returning to within, thus abruptly and anti-climatically ending the tale of Misty Pearl Cavern.
