Hi there! :)
I noticed in a recent post, that none of you know anything about me. :) That combined with the facts that I like answering questions, and that there is already a massive board to AMAs anyway, made me think to start this :).

It's pretty cool :) As I said in my citizenship application I have never really used forums before :-\ , my limit has been Facebook and Youtube comments :s and even then I never really posted anything 8) , so I am not the best to judge. But personally it seems great :)

Perhaps not gripping, but one learns a lot from routine things...for example, that you either couldn't or wouldn't sleep in today!

Definitely a night owl :) I do most of my work at night and am much more chatty and lively, plus I can be pretty grumpy and groggy in the morning :( , for no definable reason :) So very much a night person :)

I am currently a Student studying "Nuclear Power Engineering" :) not the coolest or most interesting thing for most people I think... and it can annoy some people :s I hope I don't regret posting that :). But I really enjoy doing all the work and for me it is the most interesting and cool thing I've ever done =D
Also I am 1 in only 3 girls on my course which is a little sad :( , but I don't mind too much :s
I also work at as a supermarket cashier but that's only part time to pay the bills :)

I don't see why people would think that's annoying...that's actually pretty cool, and it's awesome that there are girls that are getting into things like that. Reminds me of our previous Queen...she was studying to be an engineer. I just think it's awesome. :P

Energy and engineering can be pretty controversial for some people these days :-\ Thanks for the reassurance though :) it is much appreciated!
Not sure if your kidding or not :s either way this is kind of a cop out answer :-\ but it is something I have never told anyone before and thus is much more secret than a lot of what I could say that would be much darker:
Back when I was in High School I cheated in numerous of my final exams, see I hadn't studied and so, on the night before, I devised several ways to cheat through each of them, for example I put all my maths equations in my calculator before maths and brought an empty pen to my English exam that had loads of notes rolled up inside. :(
Yeah I know it's probably the first worldiest of secrets 8) but it's true, not depressing, and I have legitimately not told anyone before :)

I never had the nerve to try cheating in school...I was way too much of a goody-goody, and I guess that I'm still am in many ways...and I was very shy. That doesn't help either. I'm going to guess your method worked though, since you're studying nuclear power. engineering. :P

It might sound wired but I am unsure :-\ , I have never had a boyfriend or girlfriend, and I am still a virgin, I don't mind that too much though :) . And no that is not an invitation for anyone :)
Although all the people I have ever asked out have been pretty androgynous, so maybe it's that :)

I am in the UK :)
I thought about military service a few years ago but decided it wouldn't be for me :-\ , but never the submarine service, I am a little bit claustrophobic :( only very slightly but I could imagine a submarine bringing that out :) . It would be interesting though...
But I already have a industrial work placement lined up as a monitoring technition, next year :) so for now at least I won't be thinking about military service :)

I really wish I did :-\ , but can't say I know anything all that well :( , I know enough French and German to get by if I went on holiday there and I know some basic Japanese, but I keep meaning to learn more :)

Er glaubt, daß ist er speziell, weil kann er Deutsch sprechen.
Deutsch ist die häßlichste Sprache der Welt. Deshalb will niemand Deutsch lernen.
Französisch klingt eigentlich gut, deshalb will jeder Französisch lernen.
(Man, it's been a long time since I've used my German. It's probably terrible, I learned that stuff like 6 years ago, never used it since >_>)

I did French in school for a bit as it was mandatory but I don't remember much from that, rather my parents taught me a lot of what I know of French and German :) , they thought it was important to learn the skills involved in learning a language, I wish I had paid more attention to them back then maybe I would still know more :) but it has been years since I have used either language at all. :(
And I looked up stuff online to teach myself the basics of Japanese when I was in high school :) , because I was heavy into Japan back then; I watched loads of anime; got nendoroid figures; posters; and stuff, yeah I was one of those people in highschool :-\ it's pretty embarrassing actually :s

Not at all, actually. Neon Genesis Evangelion, Elfen Lied and (I blush) Dragon Ball Z are just about the best things out there. I also got deep into the Japanese culture in high school. I didn't go so far as to try and learn the language, though if time permitted me to do so, I'd probably do that in a second.

For me it has to be cats, I love cats :) I have owned 2 cats one called Felix (who died a few years ago :( ) and the other Kimmy who is 5 and I've had since she was a kitten :)
I have never had a dog, and (controversy) I don't like them that much :o ... at least not compared to other animals :)
But my favourite pet (and possibly animal has to be... bunnies :D ! *cough* Or rabbits if you prefer... They are the most adorable things ever... at least if you ask me :)

All joking aside, yes, you can't have The Beatles without every single member of the band.
I love some of their songs (like Hey Jude and While My Guitar Gently Weeps), but generally, I also just respect them as legendary predecessors to the music that came after them.
And with that, my curiosity is satisfied for the moment. I'll probably have a few more questions at some point in the future.

I really think it is great here: the involvement is perfect, there are no sad topics left to stagnate unanswered, everyone here seems to really like being here, and the founder works tirelessly to keep everything running in top notch condition :)
It's really hard to think of something that could be done better... but maybe, and this is really nitpicking but, in the short time I have been here there really hasn't been much actual NS discussion :) now I imagine this is pretty common as there isn't really very much you can do with NS, but you asked for something and I delivered :)

I sort of dabble in a lot of things :) : I do gardening from time to time (is that the right way to say that :-/ ) ; I make models and nick-naks which clutter up my flat :) ; I play tennis sometimes (if the weather permits it :) ) and of course I scour around the internet watching youtube, gaming or generally procrastinating (but that's not really a hobby).
It's safe to say I don't do as much as I'd like :-\ but there never seems to be enough time in the day or money in the bank. But I do my best, and have fun while doing it :D

It's electro-house music so if you like listening to that sort of thing :) then definitely, but if it isn't your style then you probably won't enjoy it, at least not as much as me :D
I listen to a lot of EDM and house while writing reports it helps me concentrate :)

OK, lets see, hmmm... :-\
I probably wouldn't want it to be like a big deal with whomever I was with...
That being said, this is the perfect ideal scenario, so:
It would have to be after a nice dinner at a nice restaurant (I hopefully wouldn't mind the food breath :-\ might want to add mints to that :) ) , we would have been talking and joking around for a while and be in great spirits :) a little alcohol involved but not very much. Then it would have to open with a hug (I love hugs :) although the logistics of this are questionable), after that or possibly during the hug (as I say questionable logistics :) ) a small yet definitely noticeable kiss, that doesn't last long, and would hopefully be the first of many :D
Fantasies are fun :) oh and I am a hopeless romantic by the way (if you hadn't noticed from that) :D and this is like fanfic of my life :)

While I am not a vegetarian I try to eat meats as little as possible but I do still have my preferences; so Hamburgers, and beef definitely. :)
Not sure if chocolate or vanilla means something else, but my favourite flavour of ice-cream is vanilla. :D
"Men or Women" hmm, I really can't decide :P I am into both and normally like people on a case by case basis :) but generally I have been attracted to more men in the past...

Weirdest moment hmm... that's tricky... The only one I can think of just now, is when a rube goldberg machine of stuff falling over occurred in my back garden once after trying to set up a weather station on a stick, it was pretty hilarious although hard to describe...
My most Awkward moment would defiantly be coming out to my family, doesn't help that I am the eldest child of 4 :P yup that was extremely awkward :-[

I am MtF, I have never had any surgery of any type :P I am on hormones though, I take estrogen tablets :D
I would really like lower surgery as I am extremely uncomfortable with myself down there :-\ , while I am not a fan of the idea surgery. I can't bring myself to "do anything" with my current equipment, and I never have :-\ (if you want I can repost this without my crap euphemisms :) )
... but there is only 1 specialist in the whole UK for the NHS and I can't afford to go abroad to get it done, so I must wait :( Which sucks...

I was very glad to hear about it :D I think it's great to see more countries allowing marriage equality. I didn't really follow it, but it was all over social media and everywhere really so I couldn't really miss it :P Basically Kudos to the USA :)

Hmm, I don't really know, really as long as someone likes me then I am pretty happy. But everyone does have preferences I suppose: I would like someone who gets my lame humor but that I can also have serious discussions with easily :)
Anyway, the more interesting part: for men I tend to like medium builds, not that thin, fat or muscley just sort of average, I like softer features as well and they would have to be cuddly :)
For women I am not a fan of T&A or whatever you call it, I don't like big boobs :-\ yeah I prefer women that are thiner more lean, :)
These are merely preferences I have asked people out that are way off on these and I can imagine they change depending on what mood I am in, but you asked for ideals :D

My accent is sadly not the standard English accent as my family is from all around the UK it's very mixxed and the isles part of it is the most noticeable :-\

Yes I love cuddling! :D While I've never had "romantic" cuddles, like what some of my friends describe, I do like cuddling up to people a lot ^-^

I would say that I am hardworking, what ever task I put my mind to I won't be satisfied until it is complete :)... But I have to put my mind to it in the first place :))

My anxiousness, in my mind at least, I have trouble talking to people :( and try to avoid it a lot... Even people who I would get along with and to talk to I would still just not approach them out of fear of rejection... I am also similarly anxious about lots of other things in the same way...

I would say I am very close :D although the relationship has been a little strained recently, not through decisions I made but the fact that I didn't talk to them about it... But I love my parents a lot :) and I know they love me back.

Oooh truffles! They are quite good. Also, i dont think i would let you be anxious. If i knew you and you looked standoffish then i would run up and hug you and pull you over to where i was or i would just stay where you were of you didnt want to go anywhere.

Well it is really hard to pick one thing in particular that has been a specific "favourite memory"... :P Plus I have only been around about 2 months so there isn't too much to go on. As such I am going to say a few things that I have enjoyed and that come to mind :)
So saying this first might sound a little self centred :-\ but I have really enjoyed having this AMA :D , as I have said before I really enjoy answering questions, and it has been fantastic to get loads of them :) . I only wish I could ask people as many with as good quality in return :-\ . Also going to tack on the end here that is has been awesome meeting and getting to know all you guys ^-^.
I might not have seemed it at the time, but I actually really enjoyed the Underhusen Elections, I actually didn't expect to get in, but I really liked reading everyone's campaign threads and seeing how everyone thought and reacted differently was very interesting :D, also trying to work out who would get in I found somewhat fun :).
Generally though I have just enjoyed being here :) it's been great watching everything happen all around the place, and it has been especially good to get involved here and there :D and I hope to continue this for as long as possible :)

Hmm, tricky as I get embarrassed a lot :) so let me think...
But I suppose I have never had anything that embarrassing happen to me ^-^ I have a lot of stories from people I know though.
Although I do have one or two memories, in particular just now on my mind is: when I was learning to drive (very early on) I messed up approaching a roundabout and ended up stuck in the middle of it for like 10 minutes for loads of people to see... :-[ it was very embarrassing to say the least. :P
I do have others of course but this one is pretty simple and easy to explain, the others are usually a little more loaded and don't concern as many people. :P

Yeah, I play a lot of video game :) mainly strategy games though, my favourite sub-genre being RTS, though I pretty much like all strategy ^-^ been playing a lot of Civ 5 and Crusader Kings 2 recently. :P
I also play other kinds of games, after strategy my favourite genres would probably go Sandbox games (Minecraft, GMod), RPGs, simulators (like Il2 Stunnovick) and FPS... :)
Though I am a strickly PC Gamer I'm afraid... :-\

That's a legitimately difficult question to answer, as we've not interacted all that much on here :-\ which is sad :(
But I will say you seem fun, light hearted and free spirited most of the time and I like those traits :) . And I'd say I like you :) I mean you've consistently asked me questions here that I enjoy answering! :D

I like to think I am interested in almost everything, but I think that, that might be a little over confident :P . I read a lot, right now (as I haven't bought a new book in about a month) it's mainly been non-fiction stuff online and creepypastas I'm afraid, though I plan to get some more actual books soon. ^-^
I sort of dabble in a lot of hobbies :) : I garden from time to time; I make models and nick-nacks which clutter up my flat ; I spend a lot of time fixing things for people; I play tennis and jog sometimes (if the weather permits it :) ) and of course I scour around the internet watching YouTube, gaming or generally procrastinating (but that's not really a hobby :)) ).

Not exactly sure what you mean :-\, but I'll do my best to answer anyways: :)
I knew I really wanted to do it... but I was really nervous about it and worried, but I came out to a few close friends I had made and with their help I gained a little more confidence in myself. :P
Around the end of my time at High School I started buying feminine clothes and stuff, I self referred myself to a specialist therapist who had to assess me this is a long process with a long waiting list, but it's necessary for me to get hormones and surgery over the NHS. :P
Near the end of the summer break between High School and University I started going out in public in "girlmode" for the first few times which was pretty nerve racking back then, to be honest. ^-^
During my first year of University I went full time and haven't gone back since :) . I have lost a few friends and some relatives have stopped talking to me, but despite that I think it's the best thing for me I have ever done for myself.

Hmm, I guess I don't really know, I'm not sure if I would want to be involved in one, not because I wouldn't like the person or not want to be involved with them but simply because I'd be worried that it wouldn't go well because of the distance :-\ .
That being said I have never had a proper "relationship" with anyone so I don't really know what I would say if someone asked me...
If you are looking for my general opinion, then I guess I'd say I don't mind them, or people in them, I would just be personally cautious getting involved in one myself.

I do toughly apologise for my late response, I have had some trouble getting on recently :o
Anyway, I can't quite remember if this was posted before or after out discussion on IRC, either way, for everyone else's sakes, I shall relate my opinion here. :)
To me the guilds seem like a good idea, on paper they should help boost activity and relieve strain on other area's of government while simultaneously promoting citizen's to be more active in said government, if they somehow (and I doubt it) don't succeed it won't be because it was a bad idea, it'll be because we didn't appreciate them somehow...
However, and this is purely subjective, I will be vocally against the guilds... purely because of their popularity and how good they seem... I am quite a contrary person you see... often if I hold no hard-line stance on a debate, I will side with the less popular opinion, merely to play devils advocate, but also because I believe that what makes the best ideas the best, is being able to stand up to the strongest opposition, it may sound selfish or self inflating, but I honestly believe it can help sometimes. :-\
Additionally I have had some, unfortunate run-ins with groups calling themselves guilds in other communities before... now this is an even more subjective point than my last one, but it does heavily bias me against them... for what is basically at best; a paranoid delusion and at worst; no reason at all... However, I can't change how I feel about things but I guess this will help with my vocal opposition of them. - Though I realise in the end, this is more to do with the name "Guilds" that I am not a fan of, they function differently from other organisations by that name I have encountered-
With all that being said I will not use any powers I may posses to prevent them or anything, I may even use them myself in my capacity, as I say, I think it is a good idea and should help out a lot... It's just bad experiences and my contrary nature that may sometimes make it seem like I am more against them than I actually are.

Thanks Lau ^-^ . I can post on the forum super easy, since it's nice and slow paced might try to keep up with it if I don't get too invested, but it won't be as much as before.
I graduated Uni, 1st class, with Merits, top of my class, (a little proud of myself sorry :-[ ) and am on a graduate programme with a company, don't know if I should say who since I needed a bunch of security clearance but eh... but they are big in the areospace and power industry and a very well known name in the uk. I've been living with Nargothond (that's his nation not his real name, he is still on NS at least once a week :)) ) who I met on here, for a while and we just recently had our 2 year anniversary in November.
Had way more self confidence in recent years (to which I attribute entirely to you guys here), but with that I have had so much to do IRL and so many places to be and all of my online stuff just sort of dropped off... when I come home I don't play much video games or comment on anything, mainly I'll just want to sorta chill out and relax instead of actively participating in stuff, but I still hop around everything and read stuff quite a bit, just don't want to say anything and get sucked in. :P

I am not sure if I've been asked these questions before and I like em' so I am going to answer them either way. :P
- My username is literally just my IRL first name and the first letter of my family name, it's really boring and uncreative, and I know it's generally not something people do, but I don't know I've always preferred people just using my real name.
I also go by HannahABee sometimes which is the same thing but with my middle name and the last letter making me a bee. :)) Tectal Tangent is my other common username, Tectal meaning the very tip/peak of the skull and a Tangent being a line that only touches a circle at a single point, so it's like a line "off the top of my head". It's dumb, but I like it cause it's silly and cryptic.
-I normally try really hard to not have far fetched life goals :-\ but ofcourse I still have them, most of them are pretty career based like one day I want to work on a nuclear fusion reactor, or work on something that's used on another planet, silly stuff like that :-[ . Though a bit dream of mine just now is to build my own semi-self-sufficient house on a cold cliffside coast, one with a workshop, a greenhouse, a library, an observation room/tower and lots of trees around. Something like that would be awesome and cost a fortune, as such, super far fetched and more than a little silly. :P
