1) Why are you running for this position?

RP has become somewhat stagnant. I want to see what can be done to restore it to activity. I don't have any clear plans for it quite yet, though.

2) What do you aim to accomplish as thane?

Maybe launch 3 more RPs, see what can be done to make existing RPs as accessible as possible to newcomers, and find some sort of mechanism to prevent inactivity.

3) What qualifications or experience do you have in the area that you are running in?

I pretty much started the guild, and ushered in a massively active period in our region's history, despite it being the winter vacation, which has historically been one of the most inactive periods of the year. This is also why I received my noble title. EDIT: Should probably mention my efforts also brought RP back after it had been missing for an extended period.

4) How do you plan to have the time to fulfill the duties of the position until the next election in June?

Oh, I'll make do. I don't plan on doing everything myself. As with Werewolf, a community effort makes everything a lot easier.

The RP community is the only part of Wintreath that has its own mini-government in the form of the RP Guild, which is lead by the RP Thane. We had a discussion in December that made it clear that the guild as an institution isn't doing what it should be, and I don't think anything has changed since then. What do you think is the root cause of the guild's inability or unwillingness to promote and improve roleplaying in Wintreath, and do you have any thoughts on how you'll go about improving the RP Guild as a government institution?

I think it was partly my fault, as a failure of communication back when I was still the guild patriarch. I set up a bunch of different stuff the guild was supposed to be doing, but then most of it became forgotten after awhile, like people not doing enough to promote RPs, make them more accessible for new people with brief summaries, etc.

I think people became too comfortable with the status quo, too. An if-it-ain't-broke-don't-fix-it attitude seems to have taken root.

I also want to see whether we can't come up with some sort of official mechanism to transfer control of an inactive RP to a more active host, since hosts becoming inactive leads to a lot of issues.
