It's time to start nominations for January's Avatar Theme of the Month! Post below if you have an idea for what it should be. The winning theme will be adopted by people into their avatars for the month. Nominations will last until Monday, January 1, and then voting will start and occur in a poll in this thread.

With The Last Jedi having been released a couple weeks ago, I will nominate Sequel Memes (https://www.reddit.com/r/SequelMemes/).

I actually nominate Disasters (natural or manmade), in honor of the other movie that just released, The Disaster Artist.
Is it the same kind of disaster? Technically, yes, because I included manmade disasters (even if that generally involves things like Bhopal or Deepwater Horizon), but also because it also leaves room for me to just have my avatar for the month to be Johnny shrieking (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptmM-m7Cl8U).

I like both ways. Themed avatars are nice, but it's fun to play around with photoshop (or in my case, paint.net) for a bit.
