Title: Chanku's Project
Post by: Chanku on January 01, 2016, 06:18:35 AM
So here we go. I will probably use this thread to document my project, along with other things, such as announcing the Livestreaming my development of the project. Basically think of this as a way to follow my development. I hope the other contestants follow this as well, and when I name the project I will probably rename the thread's name.

Work Log
January 1st, 2015
So far my project is off to a great start! The main logic part of the program is done! I still have a bit to do, but not too much more to do for 'Snowflake' (The working name). Apart from that I implemented most of the IRC protocol that it needs at this time.

January 2nd, 2015
So far I have done rather well, I added proper logging, along with a few more commands to allow the bot to be more Bot-y.

January 6th, 2015
Welp I am done, I am tired and happy. I finally got the GUI to work, after a lot of issues with development. It should work fine. The GUI was downsized a bit, due to me having to rush and test. I changed some things up though. Its a bit smaller than I wanted, but in the fact that it ends in about an hour and thirty minutes (at the time of writing) I need to sleep as well.

So here it is: Project Snowflake (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2ilXPB-_PFNSWRsNmotQkpvWGM/view?usp=sharing)! It could use a bit more refinement, but I think I did good enough all in all. The source is also there, and is apart of it due to me using Python. I'll update this better tomorrow.

Hey! I'm about to go live streaming my development!

You can watch it on Twitch  (http://www.twitch.tv/chancraft) or on Watch People Code (http://www.watchpeoplecode.com/streamer/Chanku).

I will try and get a recording of it so it can be watched after the fact.

That's all folks!

The Streams are officially over. I did loose some footage due to my screen-capture apparently having a limit of some sort on live-streaming. Thanks to everyone that participated and I will be doing this tomorrow for those interested. (I will try and live-stream development as much as I can.)

Welp I am now done! It's a bit different than my initial design, however I am rather tired, and haven't gotten any sleep for about twenty-four hours....so I'm turning it in.

FIXED! (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2ilXPB-_PFNaWlMbXBmU3c3dGc/view?usp=sharing)

The zip thing on Linux doesn't compress all files within a directory unless you say that's what you want. So here it is...
