You’re sitting on the couch with your group of friends, flipping channels. “Folks, have we got a treat for you!” the voice on the television shouts out as you set down the remote. “For the next 24 hours, we’ll be showing all of your favorite horror movies nonstop to celebrate the upcoming horrorfest at the end of the month.” the voice continues, as you and your friends seem interested in the lineup. “This will be a lineup that you’ll almost feel like you were there to experience. In fact, why don’t we make that happen?” the voice in the television states as the announcer reaches a hand out. Before you can fathom what’s happening, a giant hand reaches out of the television and grabs each of you, pulling each of you inside of it.
In what feels like an instant, you’re suddenly on a dark street. You look around, and see that you’re not alone; your friends have also seemed to have arrived on this ominous road, each one as equally confused as you. You can only wonder what the announcer meant by making you experience the horror lineup, but you can only imagine that it’s not something you want to wonder for too long. Your friends seem to agree with your way of thinking, as each of you seem eager to get back to the comfort of the real world.
This eagerness becomes heightened when you hear a collection of laughs, followed by the sounds of various weapons. You each turn to see a line of some of the most notorious horror creatures/monsters: Pennywise, Michael Meyers, Chucky, Ghostface, and countless others. As you hesitate to breathe at the sight of these horror titans, you hear the sound of music followed by a laugh-box. You and your friends look to see what looks to be a creepy, yet familiar doll on a red tricycle riding through the horror icons and making its way to you. “Greetings, we’d like to play a little game with each of you. Make it through our world alive, and you’ll win. Fail, and each of you will die one by one. And if you die in our world, you’ll die in yours as well.” the doll says as Pennywise forms a large, unnerving grin on his face. “Let the games begin!” he shouts as the lets out a laugh. His laugh echoes as the monsters seem to disappear in a mysterious approaching fog. And no sooner do they disappear does the very scene itself seem to disappear, as does everyone except for you. But what will happen next?
Welcome, players, to Choose Your Own Wintreath Adventure: Survive the Night!
In this game, you will be broken up into 3 teams, made up of the following:
In the end, this means nothing, as well as everything. While the goal in this game is purely individual survival, it's also always wise to see your team through so that all/most of you can survive till the end.
But of course, be aware: there may be some routes that may isolate players from their teams, switch teams around, alter scenarios, or time itself.
While there will be no time limit to each round, the longer turns take, the more it will alter the outcome of each scenario in your team's story, so it's encouraged to answer with your choice within a timely
24 hour period from when they're posted. And each scenario will only be updated once all teams have made their choice.
When each scenario for your team's story appears, you're highly encouraged to discuss with your teammates the best choice to make. Could there be any hidden meanings behind each choice? Will one lead to potential death? While this is a game of survival, it's also meant to keep you on your toes and wondering what impact your choices will have. So discussing with your teammates the possibility of those choices becomes possibly essential to yours, and even your own team's continued survival.
And while each team is discussing their choices in their team PM, you're welcome to talk in the thread as a whole.
If you're the person making the choice for the team that turn, it's highly encouraged to give a mention to me in the thread, along with your choice in bold.
PMs have been sent out. When each team has made their decision, the game will officially begin. If you have any questions, now is the time to ask.
