Conclusion of N-Day Event

Ending the event in 11th place and as one of only 39 factions to survive with positive points counts as a success in my book, what about yours? Not to mention that absolutely heroic final-hour defense against the largest faction in the game, which has to have been one of the most intense moments in our history in NationStates.

I didn't expect much from this event. It was announced in the middle of Wintreath's Summersend Festival and scheduled to take place between that event and another scheduled for this weekend. Suffice to say the Monarchy and the Cabinet were more than a bit stretched and couldn't devote the planning and effort to this event that we perhaps wish we could have.

But at least in my book, we had a fantastic showing, and it was thanks to the people who stepped up and hit the ground running when the event started. Gerrick, Pengu, taulover, BraveSirRobin, and Larthinia really took leadership in this: choosing targets, conducting diplomacy, and doing their best to coordinate and keep everyone on the same page. Many others took on the task of building and using the weapons and defenses that would build our lead and secure it, especially in that final hour. Finally, our alliance with the faction of UPPERCUT was invaluable, both in providing opportunities to collaborate offensively and assistance in that final hour that probably secured our survival.

Wintreath does not forget those who labor for its successes, nor does it forget its friends who allow those successes to blossom, and for good reason: while we may not be among the largest or most prominent regions in NationStates, it has been proven once again that when dedicated and committed to a cause, Wintreans and Hyperians always punch above their weight.

It was an honour and a pleasure taking part in this event with you, and I hope for even greater success in future NationStates events!
