    I thought this was a really interesting article, which touches on how some of the families of the victims responded to the Pulse shooting, particularly in the Hispanic community, where LGBTQ acceptance lags...turns out some of the families didn't even know that the victims were LGBT to begin with, and were shocked to even discover they had been at a gay nightclub. In at least one case, the father of one victim refused to even accept his body.

    It just goes to show that for all the progress that has been made in the last few decades, there are still tough obstacles to overcome as a community, and that even today there are plenty of people who struggle to be accepted or feel they have to hide who they are.
