It's another political quiz, yay!

This one asks 70 questions with answers from Strongly Agree to Strongly Disagree, and at the end it gives you a score on four scales, each one measuring four sets of values (equality vs markets, nation vs globe, liberty vs authority, and tradition vs progress). It's pretty quick, and I thought it'd be fun to compare.

I think it might be a little concerning that we're all pretty much in the same ballpark.
Of course, it might be at least partially to do with the fact that it's based on theoretical maximum scores, rather than comparison of scores with the totality of people who've taken it in the past. That might show some more major differences.

I think that taking it multiple times should probably produce some variation.  A lot of the stuff seemed common sense.  Though admittedly I think that I was a little more drastic on the quiz economically than I am in real life... but quizzes always get me carried away and thinking on purely ideological lines.

Eh, I don't think it's concerning.

I think Robin is right in that it's mostly ideological questions rather than practical policy positions like ISideWith uses. I'm sure that if we looked at actual policy, we might vary a bit more.

And Wintermoot is right in that we're all here because we're all somewhat similar. As we have a strong LGBT presence here, we're all mostly pretty progressive (vs. traditional), which correlates pretty well with libertarianism (vs. authoritarianism) -- if you want "progressive" social equality, then you'd want the freedom to perform it, which would be more likely with libertarianism. The fact that we're all more economically left wing is probably because of the ties of social equality to economic equality in Western politics.

I am interested in how Justinian and Aragonn score, though.
