Hayo everyone, I'm just posting this so that we can get started with the Wintreath IRL meetup!

According to the census, we did a while back (it was a couple months ago, damn I've been around that long?) many of you were interested in coming together for said meetup. So it's time to start planning.

Some important topics of discussion are:

Location
Time/Date
Events or attractions
Duration

We'll most likely work off of a points system for location voting on a location.

For location, I'm voting for Toronto, Canada because of its close proximity to the border and many nice locations in the surrounding area.

I'd participate, but as far as Canada goes, I don't even have my passport.   

Flying across the Atlantic is quite expensive... But flying to Canada is more expensive; looking at a £500 drop for a one-way...

I doubt in my current financial situation would permit such an expense. 

Too bad cause I'd really have liked to meet you guys.

Suffice to say something like a meet-up would take a lot of time and planning...it's not something that's going to happen a week from now.

That being said, any future meet-up should probably be somewhere near to the person organizing it since they'll have to do a lot of the said planning...but at the same time, the more active Wintreans are close to the location, the better the odds for success.

I was hoping that our meetup be sometime in August, so we've got a little over 6 months to plan this thing.

That's much more feasible since there's also people's jobs/school schedules to consider.  August would be a much more realistic type of expectation, and would give plenty of time for people to save up and figure out a game plan.

Toronto is like a day/two day trip for me. I can get behind that. After I get my license, and a passport.
