My extended family celebrate Christmas, and ever since I was a kid I did artsy stuff in my family's cards. I'm about halfway through for this year. Have a looksie, if you like. =D (Apologies for the smudges and the blurry photos)

Completed thingys.

Deer

The dark brown was a bit darker than I expected.

Santa

Whoops, the pencil in his hat looks really obvious. I should erase that.

Penguin

I really wish their stomach was a light blue, but I accidentally used my lightest blue for their main colour.

Snowman

I only noticed as I was colouring this fella in that it looks like they are dancing. I should erase the pencil on this one too.

Nutcracker

I can't draw hands, so I went styley as heck to distract from the lack of them.

Elf

I'm going for a "the hat's too big!" look. The card's writing is in the way, however, so the hat can't dip down and look heavy. Ah well.

Gingerbread Man

Gee, I wonder what reference image I used for this fella's design?

And the brief bit of practice I did before starting.

Lots of different things, along with my tests to see what colour my pens were

I initially thought of making a plushy-deer, but I couldn't draw the horns nor make it not look like a bear. So I went and made the final version look thin and pokey instead of cuddly.

Anyone else do art for their cards (if you celebrate Christmas and make cards)?

Edit: darn it, now they are sideways for some reason. Ah well. If they still aren't showing up, the url should work now.

Edit 2: I forgot to add the completed Nutcracker, Elf, and Gingerbread Man. No idea why they are upside-down, but they're there.

I got fingerprints on the Gingerbread Man, noooo. I tried colouring over, but failed. Curse you, fingers.

You might try using imgur if you can't get it to work.

I made card at some point, but now I don't, well it's the second time the end of the year is really not happy. And christmas nearly always been a sad time for me.

Aw, thanks! My family tend to give them in person, and it's always a treat to see them smile.

It used to be that me and my sibling both drew things all over the place, but they started writing nice messages instead while I kept on drawing. I guess the practice has helped! =D
