It feels so weird, in that map topic, seeing a map with all these different nations on it, and not being able to recognize any of them, even though supposedly that's a Wintreath map.
Then I realized that that may be the answer to why it looked like some random new people had an opinion on it for no reason.
It's like there's two different Wintreath groups then? One that is on the "RMB", which I'm guessing means Regional Message Bulletins, from the NS site, and the other is this forum? Not sure if anyone on the forum also uses the RMB, I ignore it because it's basically chaos and every time I look the subject is changed and there's no easy way to keep track of who is who, but apparently there's a large group on there who don't use the forum?
Seems weird to me, last two regions I had that had activity, it was the same group on both, this is new, getting the impression that it's two separate communities in one region.
Probably also explains why when I tried out the Wintreath chat room earlier, I left immediately because I thought maybe the link was wrong and I was in the wrong place, because I didn't recognize any of the names there as anyone on this forum. Probably just the RMB Wintreath group in that?

I guess so. Personally, I find the RMB hard to "navigate" (to borrow a word I've seen those folks say about these forums, because symmetry! =D). And by "navigate" I mean it is hard to use thanks to the things you mentioned.

Yeah, internal recruitment, ie getting RMB folks to join the forums, is often quite hard. Especially since they often see the RMB as perfectly fine.

Nah. It's just that many of the IRC/Discord regulars are more active there than here, or used to be more active on the forums but aren't anymore. They generally overlap more with the forums than the RMB though. Also, some of them go by different names.

Who knows, maybe the folks discussing their maps may stay.
