Anyway, what happens if our capital sector is conquered?

You go on a quest to kill a god, manage to unite all conflicting factions of your race, and go chase a magical prophecy, and then reclaim your homeworld.

Okay, I think I'll go with the following as my capital:

X: +4 -> +5
Y: +17 -> +18

Going by the bottom right corner of the sector being the coordinate, (-22, 12) for my capitol.

What's the approximate size of the sectors? I don't need any actual measurements or anything, but I'm curious about what they hold. Are they large enough for a single system, a planet, multiple systems...?

Given the massive amount of space between systems, I'd say one system per sector.

I'll go ahead and claim (-39, -25) to (-36, -20). Capital sector being (-39, -25)

The thing is, the galaxy is even more massive, by a lot.

NASA estimates 200-400 billion stars in the Milky Way. Obviously, not all of them are inhabitable. In the Star Wars EU, there are nearly a billion inhabited star systems. This gives you around 500 inhabited star systems per sector. Of course, most of these are probably little more than outposts, and with the collapse of galactic society in this RP, I'd expect the number to go down.

For simplicity's sake, I think we can reduce that number for this RP, though.

That's what I was going by. If we were going by all star systems, that would be 100 million systems per sector. Which I reduced (using Star Wars EU sources as a comparison) to 500 systems.

Though I suppose for the sake of keeping the RP simple, we could further reduce it to 1-3 systems, with more systems as outposts, as you suggested. Especially considering that there are already 1600 sectors to deal with.

I feel like kind of a dick asking for this since you've already updated the map so many times, but could you move my capitol up one sector?
