Greetings, Citizens!

Spring is when I like to do a quick SWOT Analysis of the region, so we best know the things we should be promoting and improving while the winter decline ends so we can best improve the region as we get an influx of new people. For those that don't know, SWOT stands for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threat, and the goal is simply to identify things in the categories. What is a regional strength, for example.

This spring I've decided to split the analysis into three groups: The Riksråd and I have already done our version of the analysis, and this version is just for Citizens outside the Cabinet. After this version is complete, I will be inviting residents of the region to provide their thoughts. After all groups have been consulted, I will be sharing conclusions from everyone combined. For now though, I will be participating in this topic only to acknowledge posts and to list the various things you come up with here in this first post.

This is a very important topic that will help make us aware of what we need to promote and what we need to work on, so I would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes and provide us with your thoughts.

It'd be interesting if the WHR expanded into Antifa activity since large anti nazi caps are usually fun; or raiding for lulz.


I'm obviously biased here, but attempting to open and/or expand relations with the OFO would be an interesting and potentially fruitful endeavor.

Low Ministrial services, Not plenty and various jobs offered for the citizens. Not a efficient inviting sector. Integration, FA, Internal Affairs need expanssion.

Creating relations with more regions, rather than just consulates. Create a good promoting and advertising section. Create an Arts Forum, A Call service, News Section (Around NS and The World)

You may want to elaborate on your insights, Harry. I'm here merely to record, but I could argue that the Ministries are the most active in Wintrean history and that there are plenty of jobs available for Citizens, for example.

Additionally, if people are interested in an art forum I would advise them to post in the topic Pengu created on the topic as well, which can be found here.

Do you believe that there is no space to make alternations, changes and upgrades?

What I think is beside the point. I'm merely pointing out that I don't understand many of your insights.

Regional Strengths
Community-Based : Wintreath places more emphasis on enjoyment and fun rather than politics, which by itself has already reduced the amount of potential conflicts within the community. From an individual standpoint, this is what makes the region appealing to me. The political bickering that generally does nothing but strains relationships and contributes to the creation of a toxic atmosphere isn’t prominent here.

Cultural Activities : The forum games that are hosted on a regular basis not only create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, they also serve as a platform for casual interactions between citizens. As evidenced by the increase in activity levels after the introduction of the forum game “Werewolf”, which has been regarded with much affection by fellow Wintreans, having cultural activities is an effective method for engaging citizens.

Regional Strengths

Strong & Entertainment based community, active IRC, successful & active defender military (any idiot can raid, it takes so much more effort to defend,) welcoming & friendly community (very appealing to new citizens,) detailed guides to help integrate new citizens.


Regional Weaknesses
Stagnant Underhusen.

Regional Opportunities
Chance for fresh & active faces to make solid & noticeable improvements to gov't operation.

Regional Threats
Noticeable, if not obvious attempts to change regional government & military stance to suit the wants/needs of foreign powers.

I've updated the summary...thanks everyone! This will be open for a few more days and I hope others will take the time to post their thoughts as well.

Outside of the analysis, there have been several posts concerning threats from external regions. If anyone feels there is a serious foreign threat to interfere with the region, I would appreciate it if they brought it to my attention as that is a very serious matter.

May I start by saying this sort of 'internal audit' is a brilliant idea.

Regional Strengths
Awesomely inclusive, laid-back, fun-loving community. Real sense of camaraderie here.
Loads of fun stuff to do (cultural activities).
A lot of effort put into getting people onto the forum.

Regional Weaknesses
I have no idea what any of the departments are doing, what sort of things they want to do, goals, etc. There is just the 'Castle' which is mostly for Wintermoot's announcements and the Civil Service which acts as a catch-all for other departments.

Regional Opportunities
Expanding the departments so that they have their own forums could draw more attention to them and away from the cultural activities so people are more likely to know about, and therefore be more interested in, political activities. From the constant complaints I see about the current Underhusen, this may be a good idea.

Electoral reform. I'm not sure of what kind, but I'd be glad to see some sort of open discussion regarding what people want to see in their Underhusen. It may just be the time that I arrived in, but having one session legislate for the number of legislators in the next session doesn't seem to have worked. Perhaps discuss moving this power away from the Underhusen to another institution, or even the people themselves.

Ongoing cooperation for cross-cultural activities with allied regions?

And for the kind words...the audit not only helps us improve and promote our good things, but it helps me determine who is really interested in the region and community, observe things and develop knowledgeable opinions, and put time into talking about it. It's a good opportunity for people to stand out.

I have to say, this has been one of the more active ones we've done, especially considering the Cabinet isn't part of this...I'm really impressed so far.
