I have to ask, with recent implimentation of the sunshine policy for Wintreath's Military(The Hvitt Riddaral and the Skydande Vakt) what are the positions you two have on Government Transparency? Furthermore what are your positions on Transparency of regional Militaries and if you support it to what degree do you?

I think it depends on a number of factors...the branch of government, the method by which it's filled, the potential for the branch of government to handle sensitive information, or need to have private conversations. Most legislatures do not need privacy because they're elected to directly represent the people and most matters they deal with are public. On the other hand, an Executive Cabinet could very well deal with confidential information and almost certainly have a need to have private, frank discussions that won't be politicized. If ministers are afraid of letting you know how they feel, how can they serve as an advisory body? Generally the policy of Wintreath is to release Cabinet discussions at a point when any potential to politicize them has been removed.

As I understand, most military topics are mundane and probably aren't of interest to the public...orders for some operation or a roster of what soldiers have done, etc. I don't see anything wrong with those being released, but a military has to be careful not to accidentally release sensitive materials, especially if it's also releasing discussions held between its military leadership that could include intelligence from a third party, for example.

I am supportive of government transparency as a general rule. I believe that cabinet meetings should have their logs made available to the regional citizenry (unless matters of regional intelligence or security are discussed, in which case that part should be classified). I have supported efforts to increase transparency and assembly oversight of the TNP Security Council, and contributed to the authorship of the first NPA Doctrine and Code of Governance which gave both the RA and the executive oversight over it's activities.

I'm not familiar with the two acts that you mention specifically.

I support transparency in the military, but at the same time, it cannot be too extreme. We cannot allow the functional capacity of the military to be totally undermined by a requirement that all of it's activities be disclosed publicly before they occur. I believe that keeping the public informed of all activities as they occur is necessary, provided that these operations do not form part of an intelligence operation. The public should be free to provide their thoughts on military operations and to move for a withdrawal vote if they believe the military's involvement in a particular engagement is inappropriate.

I'm not sure. I don't know you at this point in time I'd say the best is Wintermoot, simply because of the fact that I've known him the longest

Alright, the two acts are not acts but the two parts of Wintreath's Military(Hvitt Riddaral being our update force and Skydande Vakt being our 'reserves' so to speak). Alright although a question to both of you, what are your opinions on the current Sunshine policy enacted in for Wintreaths' Military, part of which is in this short announcement here.

Although to go into more detail, Discussions by the head of Defense(Jarl, Thane, and Monarch) are released to the general military after 1 year, after 6 months anything available to the general military for that time is declassified to the general public. Essentially by the time any command documents are released it's already been 6 months and a year. Also the act allows for information to be re-classified prior to release.

What kind of goverment do we have, when most of the possitions are held by the same people, and the same people get re-elected. Seems like a small number of people are holding the chains of Wintreath in their arms. Also what did I miss these 3 monhs of inactivity?
